Is any one else having issues with random reboots after the recent system update? This has happened 4 times now all under different random scenarios.

Are you using any themes, they can cause issues sometimes.

He probably disabled a bunch of apps and forgot to enable them when he updated his phone.

Did you update OTA or ODIN?

It was ota and no I didnt disable any apps. I have noticed it seems to be happening when my bluetooth is on. Oh and I dont use themes just nova.
Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk

Now that I think about it I wonder if it was that night mode that nova just added. Never remember the issues before that and it was turned on right around the same time as that system update. I turned that off to see if it happens again.
Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk

Turns out nova beta and or night mode was the issue. Went back to stable version and removed night mode options. No more reboots and my bluetooth works like a champ now.
Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk

So you think it's night mode. I'll t that. Had 4 reboots yesterday connected to BT listening to iheart. Today i was using Google maps in the car and not only did it freeze up it reset while i was driving.

Random reboots

Had the phone for just over 24 hours and have had two random reboots. Anyone else or is it just me?

Nop' Just you !
Perhaps it's something I've installed.

Lots of apps haven't updated for 4.2 yet...
And I trust you've installed the OTA update?
Yep, updated almost immediately.
If it keeps doing it I'll start uninstalling stuff.... I suspect something with an active widget, so HD Widgets or Astrid...

Don't have that problem here

Have had 3 reboots in 3 days twice while using Dolphin browser and once when using the mini info app.
My first was half way through a YouTube video, the second was just after loading tapatalk I think....

I think its the apps not being updated for 4.2 tbh. I got the launcher to FC on me with Friend caster not long after I posted.
I hope so, but I've not had a single random reboot on my N7. Plenty of FCs mind you!
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I actually had a random reboot about 20 minutes ago. I have an HD Widget clock on my lockscreen. I think mine happened while using Tapatalk though. Glad someone else experienced this. It was my only one so far though but I've had the phone <24 hours
I might try taking my HD Widgets off for a while.

Thread moved to Q & A section, post in the relevant section next time.

I'm using HD Widgets and have not had any force closes. I have one on my home screen and another on a lock screen. However, it does seem to be using a lot of battery (7% of usage).
Hmm.. I haven't had any reboots yet, working perfectly.

I had some random reboots. I think about 10 since friday...
Have had 2 random reboots. Once during Netflix testing 20 minutes into Breaking Bad and once when I turned on the phone and the screen was frozen for a few seconds.
I've had the phone since Thursday haven't had any random reebots

Wifi and data switch off randomly.

Have noticed about once a day at random times, my wifi and data signal will disappear when using the phone. I have to switch airplane mode on and back off to get my connections back. Not a major Issue, but slightly annoying.
Anyone else have this problem or know the cause?

I'm having an issue where my wifi icon disappears but I'm still connected to wifi. Also, the toggle is grayed out. Pretty annoying. I'm on the Sprint GS5.

The toggle is greyed out on mine too and cannot switch it back on. The only difference is that I loose wifi and network connection. Mine is o2 UK unbranded handset.
Update: my connections are still active when this happens.

I'm getting the same thing here, the data and wifi icons occasionally disappear and the wifi toggle goes dark (as if it's not connected), but I'm still connected and get data just fine.
Do you reckon this is a hardware or software fault?

I did install adblock (unrooted) for about 30 minutes and then removed it when I first got my phone. Not sure if the problem started before or after.

Its not problem adaway. I test it.
Would be nice to find out the reason why this is happening.

It didn't happen yesterday so will wait for next samsung update and see if that solves the problem. Unless it gets worse then I will factory reset.
update : shortly after I posted this it happened again so I tested the connection and I was still connected to wifi.

No, I stopped looking as I think they only work properly if your rooted.

What's the best way to perform a factory reset?
Update: Just performed a full factory restore. Will let you know how I get on.

WiFi shutting off

I have the Pure and I am running the leaked soak for MM and ever since I installed it my WiFi works great until I leave wherever I am. If I am at home my WiFi works perfect until I leave the house and come back home. When o get back home my WiFi has shut itself off and I have to turn it back on. This NEVER happens before. Is there something I am missing?

Am I the only one having this problem?

I'm still on lp, but haven't seen anyone mention that yet. I'm guessing you tried resetting connection?
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk 2
Yes, it still does this. There has to be something I am missing.

Only thing I see it take little longer to connect to WiFi. Otherwise never had this issue you describe.

Hopefully one MM officially drops this issue will stop for me.

Happens to me overnight. I had a similar thing happen on my m8 but it was being caused by my overnight backup using TiBu. I haven't really looked into on the MXPE.

Do Not Disturb

Have any of you guys tried turning this on? When I try setting always force closes.
UPDATE: I got it working. All of the devices I had that it didn't work on. Had to factory reset. If it doesn't work do it again. If that doesn't work do it again. I got them all working, and some of them took 3 factory resets. At least they are working now.

I tried both and they're both functioning. Tried it with alarms set and without. All working.
Mine keeps force closing on me when using settings. Thank you for checking

No problem. Maybe a factory reset?
Already tried that. So I know it isn't an app.

Works fine for me, use it every night. Did you disable anything using Package Disabler Pro?
Negative. I manually disabled some stuff like Lookout, and T-mobile stuff.

I'm having the same issue after initial setup on an ATT model too
I did a factory and still happens.

Yeah its kinda odd. My partner also received his model (ATT) and doesn't have this issue.
Can't figure it out for the life of me. I just tried 5 different edges. 3 of them crash and the other two don't. All T-mobile versions. Waiting for friend with AT&T versions to reply and see what they say.

Update 1:1 so for from my friends. One works and one doesn't.
Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
No issues here from the quick settings in the pull down menu.
Yah had to do 3 FDRS to get mine to stop crashing.
Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
same here, FC through settings but I can activate it through the toggle, I just spent 4 hours setting up the phone and don't want to factory reset lol

Force closures in s7 Edge.

How many times do you have a force close. Just got a couple. Normal or not normal. ??
