I tried replicating the steps in your batch file, the problem apparently lies with the flash command; somehow my bootloader relocked itself when I applied the update via CM recovery, seems like there's no way out for me now...

Just for info, I used SuperSu beta 2.67 / 2.71 and I had some issues. Titanium backup works, founds root, such as adb, but some other apps don't. @MZO can you please test Secure Settings or SELinux ModChanger?
Furthermore, how did you upgrade? Did you flash busybox?
Thanks!

[CWM] [TWRP] Easy Recovery install for Find 5

I first want to note that none of this is my work, I'm simply sharing with the community with the permission from the creator of this tool. All credit goes to kamma for his port of TWRP here and Derek from the OPPO forums for bringing CWM, and of coarse JonaBustos for making this great tool for us to use!
Easy Recovery install for Find 5!
Prerequisites:
- Computer
- Drivers for Find 5 installed
- That's it!
I, nor any of the parties whose work you decide to use are not responsible for anything you do to your phone ...ENJOY!
**This is simply a copy and paste of the original post over on the OPPO forums HERE
Friends OPPO community
I made a modification of some files and take the work of other users as Derek and Kamma, and make a easy installation of TWRP Recovey and CWM Recovery.
HOW TO:
- You only need to have installed the drivers from our OPPO FIND 5.
If you dont know how, can see this article How to install drivers for any Android. (I use this for all devices)
- Download the attachment and unzip wherever you want on your PC.

Ok, it looks like the issue is with boot.img it appears to reflash the stock recovery on reboot. Its been talked about in the oppoforums and there seems to be an easy fix using adb shell
Use adb shell to disable it, but you need to have root. Here are command lines :
Code:
adb shell
su
mount -o rw,remount /system
cd /system/etc
mv install-recovery.sh install-recovery.sh.old
exit
exit
adb reboot
Recovery should now stick.
I found this too: http://www.oppoforums.com/threads/cwr-installed.1374/#post-21980

The network always shows/gets edge line/symbol which is not 3G or H/H+ which the area is HSPA.

It didn't even show the Android is updating window (and keep in mind it's also art so it might result in longer fist boot time
As usual, DEB left behind!.
I flashed, tried dirty no go, stuck in forever animation. wiped and reflashed. Its booted setting up now.
Build number: LPV79
boot.img is different to KTU84P
bootloader is identical to KTU84P
system & userdata files... have a guess
Just fastboot flashed the image onto my N7 without erasing userdata, appears to be boot-looping as previously mentioned in this thread.
New encryption passphrase screen though!

Judging by the experiences of others in the thread so far, don't expect to be able to flash this over 4.4.4 without ending up in a boot-loop; so just backup your data and use the factory image.

Just completed flashing System Image.
Initially Stuck at boot animation for 5 minutes.
Powered off tablet by holding power button. and powered on successfully booted
Installing apps now. but i am seeing some lags even when accessing play store
Just used the flash-all.bat through fastboot and it worked perfectly. If you dont have the PATH variables set up it wont work but the commands you need if you place the bootloader.img and the image.zip in your platform-tools folder are:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-flo-flo-04.02.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-razor-lpv79.zip
Took awhile to start up but it was all fine. running it through the paces now.
This will wipe userdata as well, just as an FYI.

Flashable zip would be nice for us using multirom.
I flashed it. I thought it might have bootlooped, so I left it for a while just in case and it booted fine. Is the circle key supposed to be home as it's broken on my dirty flash?

This method worked for me, so thanks to OP.
As fastboot oem get-bootinfo shows the Bootloader as unlocked.
I flashed a Chinese TWRP from the guide I found elsewhere here. It definitely boots into TWRP and everything works inside TWRP, albeit in Chinese.
Unfortunately, I'm now in a TWRP bootloop and can't get out of it.
I don't have a stock ROM/recovery to re-flash, so I'm hosed until one appears online.

Is it useful to try it without an recovery image available? Some other user tried it and is in a bootloop now without the possibility to recover.
I also slashed beta-supersu, using the Chinese twrp. I didn't reboot in between flashing twrp and supersu. Maybe I should have.
Thanks!
Works perfect for me

Yes. Though mine seemed even more complex. I couldn't boot into the bootloader that way.
What I found is that via some combination of volume/power keys and having power plugged in or not, I finally:
* did a boot into safe-mode
* discovered I was rooted
* used to to install ROM manager
* rebooted, out of safe mode
* ran ROM manager
* rebooted to bootloader
And then did what dukey said.
strange i have tried to log using facebook button but it keeps sending me the '"Sorry, you must use a phone account to submit this application."'
any ideas?

The .exe linked in the first post is not required to determine the product ID. It can be determined using universal code *#*#1357946#*#* (which returns an 8-digit code as expected)
Further, the .exe linked in the first post does not get a clean bill of health at VirusTotal - nothing definitive but not clean. Anyone planning to use it to generate an unlock code should use reasonable caution, sandbox the application or (better) run it on a disposable VM.

LG H440n - LineageOS problem + cannot reinstall OS - HELP!

Hi there,
few months ago i flashed LineageOS 14.1 and so far it worked so good. BUT! Few days ago i find out that i can't pickup any phonecall - i can hear the sound of the call, but nothing is showing up on the screen. I did the factory reset, but nothing changed. So I decided to reinstall ROM. And there is a problem. Coz of the 7.1.2 Lingeage Androig version i can't root it by kingroot. Tried to use LG UP and LG FLASH TOOL - to change rom, its not finding out my phone at all (the pc is recognizing it fine - all drivers are up). Got the TWRP on my phone, downloaded c70n - but without root how am I supposed to flash recovery (flashify is not working). Got no idea what to do.. Please help, get me some instructions how reinstall rom (even to stock one) that may work
PS. Sorry for my bad english.

If your phone is not rooted then you can't do anything. You can also try kingroot to root nougat( not sure if it works on nougat )
If it doesn't work then you'll have to flash the lollipop again.
download adb and issue the command
"adb reboot recovery"
That might get you into recovery

If he's on lineageos he has to have twrp
The problem is that his version is probably the first one that has the bug that when you try to get into it using the key combination it just wipes the phone, that has been solved in official versions of twrp for h440 but the first one had that issue

Updating from 10 to 11 with root

Ok, so I'm gonna do the update to android 11 now that it seems to be more stable. My question is, once I do that, and I keep root, is there a way to do a factory data reset and not lose root all together? I like to do a factory reset when doing a major update just to make sure things run as smooth as possible, but I'd like to not lose root in the process. Thanks in advance!
Root (aka Magisk) IMHO resides in the boot image, so a factory reset would not interfere with root itself. Of course you would need to reinstall Magisk manager (Canary) after the factory reset. Oh, and you need to be on Canary Magisk for A11 anyway - so if you do the update from A10 you need to make sure you are on Magisk Canary (Manager and Magisk itself) or it won't work afterwards...

I like to do a factory reset when doing a major update just to make sure things run as smooth as possible, but I'd like to not lose root in the process. Thanks in advance!

I have guides for this and for 11-11 they're in the guides section.
Thoroughly tested.

Nope latest beta works great too. Canary isn't needed anymore.

So I just need beta magisk and the regular app? Cause I just installed the canary magisk manager and it's missing quite a few options like magisk hide and such. And I definitely need those.

That is a lot more involved than I was expecting this to be. I figured I could just retain root with an update the same way I always do.

It's 9 steps?
You need to remove modules, you will need to use the updated boot img and your won't have twrp to fall back on.
If you want to wipe after you'll need to set up then reinstall magisk then obtain your boot img, patch it and boot it then flash it directly.

It's not that, it's just that I usually used a pretty simple guide for updates and I didn't need to do anything on the computer for it to work.

Is it because we're updating from 10 to 11 that these extra steps are needed? Sorry, I'm just curious is all.

No not at all.
Tbh it's extremely similar.
Just that the way I've written it means you won't have issues, I'd rather cover bases in a guide than answer a 100 questions later.
If you have magisk functional already then you're halfway there.
I've updated the OP in my guide.
Some steps are informational

I installed the canary built of magisk from your thread, but there isn't an install button. ?
Edit: I went back to the beta build and it worked fine with patching.

Just the beta channel. And I can once I get my phone working again lol. You straight up told me I was gonna need to use this to root my phone after a factory reset. And I went ahead and installed twrp anyway. Using the msm tool now to fix it lol.
