32.1.A.1.185 New Update Now Avaliable How To Install - Xperia Z5 Premium General

New Update!!

The title on this thread is just a bit misleading... This in no way explains how to install, what kind of Z5 P device it is or anything... Hardly worth a whole new thread, either, when this is being discussed in the 'Marshmallow available now' thread...

Yes. But I need the one with Root so I think I better stay and wait on the older firmware. also, I need the exact firmware for my phone for better coverage.

I think I have latest firmware from :
1298-2969 Customized MAA 32.1.A.1.185-R7C

Same customization of mine but I'll wait for the one rootable.

Hi OP. Were you be able to update it?pls consider to check if the kernel is the same as stock version of firmware 163? if it is still the same, I think we can still use the current custom kernels

Kernel is the same.
Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

Does a diffrent firmware void your warranty? And if i do can i also turn back to my own cda when tmobile nl 6.0 has been released?

For E6853
The custom kernels work, but it's registered at the older firmware version, making the system update pop up even though you have it installed. I customized the stock kernel for the latest update with the help from @tobias.waldvogel tool from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/development/root-automatic-repack-stock-kernel-dm-t3301605

It has DRM restore injected, latest TWRP 3.0.1 and support for root. The rest is stock.
I would recommend flashing the latest firmware with Flashtool without wiping any data and flash the kernel afterwards in fastboot
Fastboot flash boot kernel.img

Make sure to navigate to the correct directory you have it downloaded so it can detect the IMG.
No need for installing recovery as it already has this. From recovery just flash the latest SuperSU and you have root.

Released yesterday evening. You can root it using the tutorial posted on xda itself which utilizes the stock recovery itself. I've rooted mine that way only. Works great. Battery life's also improved.
I rooted my phone via this by flashing XWLPW-DBT ICS 4.0.4

download modem and flash it using odin (select "phone" option ).
Cm10 rom doesn't have inbuilt modem so any modem you flash will stay there irrespective of how many times you install nightlies or somethings. You can flash any modem like this, there's no problem in flashing modems over cm10
for csc select csc option in odin of download app for that but I am not sure how much it will help as personally I don't feel that csc matter a lot as I used to flash European roms and they worked fine irrespective of csc and if you are flashing csc to avoid ril crashes on cm 10 then it may not help you.
NOTE: flashing csc will wipe data so be careful.
You can give it a try yourself.

How to flash NK4 baseband/modem:

You can dowload the NK4 baseband and bootloader here and flash them thru odin
On IB4STiD's thread found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56276338&postcount=5

Preface:
You just want the baseband file.
---------- Post added at 02:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:45 AM ----------
1. Download the NK4 baseband file.
2. Open up odin and uncheck auto reboot.

Any improvements in this one? Is it worth flashing?
wait i'm confuse between this ,kies method, 138 MB tmobile OTA (i'm rooted so no go ) update and the 1.6GB firmware on sammobile . I'm running rooted ANJ7 baseband version so which path should i take to upgrade ? which of these do i get to keep my data and phone setting ?
If you flash the smaller file OP posted you will not lose your files. If you flash the full 1.6 GB version, it will essentially put your phone back to stock, wiping all your data in the process. Which is good if you want a clean start, but not so much if you only want to update your baseband and modem (and firmware). Personally, I flash the full 1.6 version for a clean start when an update is released, then restore my apps with Titanium backup. But it's up to you, honestly.
Flashed using Mobile Odin.

I was able to flash my baseband/modem from my extracted firmware, modem.bin using Odin v3.09,
and
ur bootloader also using Odin v3.09,
just wanted to let u know it worked just fine,
thanks for the bootloader file... saved me some time instead of doing the firmware... :good:
Very cool.
I may go ahead and flash the bootloader.
Hadn't yet cause on the tmobile s4 it was important to never update the bootloader.
Mine still doesn't have knox.
Running latest cm nightlies.
And using the nh7 modem.

I always update my modem/baseband.
Samsung/tmobile are trying to make reception better with each release, and all.
I've also heard people say if it ain't broke don't fix it.
Knowing how to update your modem/baseband without updating your bootloader is a good skill either way.

Before I was getting hs usb and it was semi function using the 1572 loader, but after trying this its now only showing 'lge android platform composite usb device'.
scratch that. after holding down power and vol - for what seemed like an eternity my phone booted into 7.0
I took a shot and flashed the bootloader for 1572 and my phone now boots without the sd card.

good, I have a small concern to do when the rom has nothing to do with the application udate, the case is the following my honor 8 has the rom frd-l04c567b389 and when trying to update the frd-l04c567b391 error, and it lowered the rom official of several pages and servers and when using the huawei extractor to flash by ADB commands do not appear the cust in ninuna rom, I can only flash the boot, recovery and system, how important are the cust
