Make sure you have lock screen security enabled. If you don't lock your device with a passcode, fingerprint or any other security methods out there, the emergency dialer on the lock screen won't show up.
How set full dialer shortcut on lockscreen (not emergency call)?

Anyone have a suggestion on how to enlarge the "device lock" icon on a Cingular 8125's Today page? I find the current icon way too small for easy finger use on the fly. Too often I try to tap it and hit something just above or below it on the Today page. I'm running Smartskey and Spb Pocket Plus, but as far as I know, neither of those programs allow for the creation of a larger "device lock" icon on the Today page or the reprograming of a soft key to "initiate" a lock. I keep my 8125 in my pants pocket, so it's important that it can easily be put into lock. Thanks!!

Okay...sorry guys...I didn't understand that fully Got the start menu but "-> left softkey" I'm totally lost. Are you talking about the softkeys along the bottom of the Touch HD (phone, home, back, end call)??

Soft keys are the words at the bottom of the screen such as Contacts or Phone etc.
Alternate to softkey is Start>Lock (then set lock to use a pin) and then long-press the drop call button and on coked ROMs that should bring up a menu which includes lock screen -or the menu can be changed to automatic lock instead (through Manila settings).

Is there a way in which I can keep the screen locked while a BlueTooth ear set is being used in order to keep the active screen from opening other programs and calling others while in my pocket?
I believe if you hit the settings menue at the bottom left corner it says "LOCK SCREEN"
I'm failing to find "lockscreen"
clicking the "menu" button under the settings tab only brings up "all settings"
Is there another way to find lockscreen or did you, by chance, leave out a few steps?

Hi, I am a left handed person, and when I use the pen to write on my yoga book, my hand keeps opening the slide down menu of the quick settings. Is there any way I could remove it from the top of the screen or move it to a different position?
I am sure that any left handed person faces the same problem, I hope we can find a solution to this,
