Lock screen time out issue - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers

I have my locks creen time out set to instantly. But at least 2, 3 times a day it resets back to 25 minutes. I'm using fingerprint scan to unlock. Any help?
Thanks

I would start by checking to see if you have my places set up or maybe trusted locations .

I'm not exactly sure how it works, but I'm pretty sure if you set something like your home network up as a trusted location, then I think that will override your lock screen settings.

Disable slide to unlock ?!

Is there any way to disable the slide to unlock feature and just have the pattern unlock ?
Also in this boat, searching leads to several threads like this
Yes you need to uncheck the auto launch of the play app.
I don't recall where I seen it.
I'll post when I find it.
Open the play app, push the menu button and select settings.
Then uncheck auto start.
Forget what I said.
I thout you meant when you slid the screen and not the slide bar on the screen.
There is no way that I have found.

That's where we go to set the pattern unlock, what we want to know is how to remove the slide to unlock that comes up before the pattern unlock
This needs a bump, so here it is. I'm in this boat all of a sudden because my employer enforces an entry code for devices for a corporate account. I'm getting really unhappy having to slide, enter pin every time !
Try the app "antilock"
Its free on the market and does exactly what you want, I believe. I use it myself so I don't need to slide twice as I use widgetlocker
Hope this helps!
works like a charm!
Uninstalling, sometime after turning the app on my phone started to act "funny" or erratic... After uninstall everything seems to be normal again.

How do you fix home and work locations on google now?

Always liked how it knew automatically where home and work was. But recently I went to night shift at work and google now keeps wanting me to change work to home, home to work. My saved addresses are correct but it keeps asking me every time. How do you fix this?

With the new maps it can be checked and set in the profile area (head and shoulders icon on the rhs of the search bar).
You can also just go to the maps website and set it there

Open up Google now and scroll all the way down and press menu > my stuff> places and there's settings for home and work locations. The options for home, work, etc only show up there if in Google now cards you add that specific place as your home or whatever the case is

You probably turned something on in accessibility. this happened to me when I turned on Google voice for dash clock just turn off whatever you turned on and it will fix itself it is a talk back bug. I even rooted removed talk back and it still happened
I downloaded a app called led blinker pro. I removed the app . And that's what was causing the problem. Thanks

TimePin Lock Screen App

This is a very cool lock screen app that I've found called TimePin. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cunninglogic.dynamicpin
Basically your password switches literally every minute unbeknownst to anyone (girlfriend/boyfriend, mom/dad, annoying brother/sister, etc) hovering over your phone trying to figure it out.
Your password will be whatever the current time is. For example the time is now 5:34pm so your password will be "0534". When the time turns to 5:35pm your password will now be "0535". Quite simple yet secure and cool!

It also can do the time mirrored or reversed, as well as add an offset to the time to make the pin more secure.
