Some options are hidden - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everybody
i'v just bought the Oneplus 2 and received it today, i had the oneplus one before then i changed to oneplus 2, i noticed there are some important options hidden in the settings that are:
-Status bar
-Notification bar manager
-Themes (i can't even install themes from play store)
-Screen colors
-ring layouts and settings (in buttons option)
-also can't customize the " on screen " buttons..
i had these options hidden in my previous OPO but i solved it by going to " about phone " then enabled " advanced mode ", but i can't find this option on the OPT
is there any solution for this issue? i'd be so much thankful...
i'm using the oxygen version 2.2.1 and my android version is 5.1.1
Thanks all!

Isn't there anyway to show these options without flashing roms? because i just bought it today so i'm a bit scared

No there is not. Your OnePlus One runs on CyanogenOS and your OnePlus 2 runs on OxygenOS. CyanogenOS has these Option included into the Rom. Because OxygenOS is more like pure and clean Android there is no such stuff.
Flashing ROMs on the OP2 is pretty easy and if you follow the instruction given by the various Guides and by the ROM Developers itself it is nearly impossible to harm your phone this much that it is beyond the point were it can be saved by the Recovery Tools posted in this forum.
Start reading about how root works, how a custom recovery works and then give it a try

Thank you all!

If you don't want to flash other roms, you could just root your device and install some xposed module for the same.
PS.dnt b scared, its very easy for people who own oneplus.
Kudos!

Mobile Hotspot Toggle ???

Hey XDA members !!
I've searched ALL over and can't find how (or if possible) to add the native Mobile Hotspot to the toggle tray drop down??
The toggles in the app store I am familiar with, and I use "HotSpot Toggle", but I'd like it in the Notification / Toggle dropdown drawers ???
Anyone achieve this ??
Thanks
PS: Stock ROM, no Root, no custom recovery.....
Thanks!!!
If I recall, Beans 4 had it in the toggle menu.
I just flashed B5, and it's not there since I think the JE update broke the work around. If you're on I9 or J7, you can flash beanstown106's B4 ROM and have what you're looking for
Thanks! I'll check B4 out with some research then.... I just went back to stock and was looking for a stock solution, but I can flash again if that is the only way.
I'm just very dependent on the drop down drawer!!
.edit.

I don't know about the app you mentioned, but there were a couple of apps in the N4 Apps & Themes forum which did this - but it seems they work for 4.3 only.
As mentioned, there are apps which work via Exposed framework which will do what you are looking for (though bear in mind Exposed needs the Dalvik not Art, runtime).
Another good option is to try some ROMs - most of the popular ones have extensive UI customisation, such as battery, clock, navigation bar (the one at the bottom).
Download a ROM and its Gapps (eg AICP ROM and its Gapps, which I use and I can recommend, it's a good place to start)
Reboot into recovery.
Backup your current ROM (creates an image you can restore if you don't like the new ROM)
Wipe: data/system/cache/dalvik. NOT internal storage
Install the ROM and its Gapps
Reboot and begin to setup your phone
If you have Titanium Backup Pro or similar, you can restore all your user apps and data to the new ROM. Generally not recommended to restore system apps or data.
It may sound like a lot of effort to get a battery icon, but you also get a better ROM (faster, better battery and highly customisable UI). With the backup you took, if you don't like your new ROM, all you need to do is:
Go into Recovery,
Wipe data/system/dalvik/cache
Restore the backup
Reboot

Auto app permission Oxygen 2.1

Hi guys,
Previously I had a oneplus one on cm12 it had auto disable some permissions so whatever apps were installed it will block them however I can't seem to find that on Oxygen OS on oneplus 2.
I will highly appreciate your assistance.

I don't think OOS has this function. You can change app permissions in the settings menu though, but only on a per-app basis.
You need AppOpXposed
Permissions Manager to system level app is only avail on CM based ROM... Or if the dev decide to put it

I take it I might have to root the device for that?

Default applock function in Nougat

Dear all. I really wounder why the default applock function is not included in Nougat. I tried to enable it with flashing a csc. The applock menu appeared but it force closed when i tried to open it. Anyone have an idea how to get applock work on Nougat.?
Ps: i installed some applock apps from playstore but didn't like them so i prefer the default app/function.
Thank you all in advance!

You probably need to be rooted to place the applock.apk in /system. Or perhaps it is not available with Nougat?

First of all thanks for your reply. I am on a rooted rom. As i mentioned above in my first post, with replacing the csc files i am able to see the applock function in settings and also the related *.apk for it is automatically placed in the system folder.
I also can't find anything in google about this. [emoji53]

Probably doesn't work on Nougat then bro. I asked about AppLock in the beta and they should they would see about adding this for everyone. That hasn't occurred lol
