Remove system app without root - Lenovo A6000/Plus Questions & Answers

Somebody help to remove system app of a6000 without root

It is not possible to remove system apps without root, as to modify data in the system partition root access is required. So its better if you root your phone, uninstall the system apps and then you can unroot your phone back

Thanks for your reply brother

Ya, its impossible to remove system apps without root, but you can disable some of them. Go to Settings>apps>all and disable the app you want. But remember disabling some system apps may cause problem.

[q] help removing pre-installed bloatware after rooting

my mt4g is rooted but i cant delete or move the bloatwares.
astro>system>app (it says: error deleting files)
i dont understand whats going on bcus the steps seem simple but somehow its neither deleting nor allowing it to be moved to my sd card.
any help would be most grateful. thanks in advance.

and one last question. now that my phones rooted, s=off, may i delete visionary, the terminal emulator, and superuser???
>> i have more tasks running now that its rooted along with my inability to remove the bloatware
For your first question, astro cannot delete system apps if you're not mounted r/w, which you wont be by default. Root Explorer gives you the option to mount r/w and then delete apps. alternatively, you may want to install titanium backup and use the "freeze" feature so you can easily restore them if you want in the future.
You can remove visionary, and the terminal emulator if you want, but you'll need the superuser app to grant root permission to any apps that require root in the future.
Don't arbitrarily delete bloat. Use Titanium to freeze apps you don't want like option94 suggested. Some of those apps are tied into the sense ui and deleting them can make things screwy. After freezing in Titanium, if everything is working well, you can delete if you want. Make a nandroid backup before you do anything permanent. I would leave the stock rom alone and flash a rom like iced glacier which is basically optimized stock with all the bloat removed. Don't forget the make backup part.

thanks i didnt quite understand what 'mount r/w' means or what it really does but as long as changing it to 'mount r/o' makes those unnecessary apps go away, im happy. thanks again
r/w = read/write - you'll be able to make changes
r/o = read only - you wont be able to make changes.

Titanium backup not working on 6.0.1

I can't delete any system apps with it anymore, does anybody else have the same problem or even a fix for it?
Working fine on 6.01 for me, Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling it?
I just updated to 6.0.1 myself, rooted using superSU 2.61. I too cannot delete system apps using titanium. I tried to uninstalled and reinstall the app (via playstore) but it didn't help.
I also tried to do the same via the root explorer option in ES file explorer and it didn't work. I tried to toggle the root explorer option in ES, but after I turned it off I couldn't turn it on again. Root checker does say that I have root, and other root apps e.g. adaway, xprivacy still work.
Any help and suggestion is most welcome!

hey guys, "system less root"
That would modify system... Just freeze the apps.

Some people still want to recover the space.
With systemless root you will need to modify the system in TWRP to get titanium and ES working correctly.
It's as simple as going into TWRP and mounting the system R/W.
You then need to open the terminal in the following places:
/system/bin and execute "touch su"
/system/xbin and execute "touch su"
This will create zero byte files for SuperSu to come along and swap/link to on boot so that ES and TiBu can ask for root and get it.
They will then operate as you expect.; with the caveat that you are on your own when you start tinkering and may break something.

Pretty sure you lose Android Pay with this method though, just FYI if you care about that.
But if you are running Xposed you broke it anyway. There is a way to get it working.
You will need to remove the empty su files you just created to be able to add cards.
You will need to use a Xposed module to hide modifications to the system so that the device check comes back clean.
It's a pain, but if you want Xposed, TiBu, ES and Android Pay, that is the price.

Error 'system' not in /proc/mounts when trying to make cerberus as system app

Hi, a few days ago I manually updated my OP6T to the latest version manually (I can't do it normally because I'm rooted and the system shows me an error)
I use the Cerbeus anti-theft application, I like to turn it into a system application to have full control of my phone in cases of emergency (theft, for example).
The point is that I can install magisk 20v and root perfectly, but when I try to make cerberus or any application as a system application, it shows me the error 'system' not in / proc / mounts, I use link2sd, titanium back up, root explorer all the options does not work, i cant mount rewrite to erase system apps but i can't make normal apps to system app, I tried to update the ROM stock directly from the official website, but at the end, always shows me that error, can anyone help me with this problem?
Thank you! if you need more information tell me
I'm so sorry if my English is not too good, I'm still learning
Bootloader unlocked
Recovery TWRP fajita lastest version
There's a magisk module called systemize that should be able to do what you're wanting as far as turning it into a system app

Just search the download list for systemize.
I've used it for a few apps that need system level access and it's worked great
Yes woked perfectly thank you very much
EDIT:
I tried a few days ago, All converted applications were removed with factory reset are they not supposed to be already in the system partition?

AFAIK Systemize Is the easiest and recommend way. About the things being removed after factory reset, that's normal as Systemize is System-Less. All changes it makes will be reverted after a Factory Reset.

Magisk modules don't touch physically system partition. It's the only way to keep security verifications green. Magisk modules are in data partition and are 'mounted' is system ram disk
Hi again guys, now im trying again to make Cerberus as system app I was able to solve the problem about mounting system, through ADB I placed the APK manually in the system / priv-app folder, I gave it permissions with CHMOD 644 i restarted and effectively became system application Up to this point everything was in order, until I did a factory reset, I got stuck in the boot animation, To solve it I had to boot TWRP and manually remove the apk from the priv-app folder, with this the system boot normally (curious because the root permission was there Despite having restarted the System)
Someone have any ideas to solve it? I don't care about magisk and if the safety net are in red
Thanks!
Help guys, any ideas ?

How to uninstall Google Apps on ROOTED Oneplus 5 mit OxygenOS 10.0.0

I have had the Oneplus 5 for many years. After each update of OxygenOS I uninstalled some system apps (Chrome Google Photos, Gmail, Google Movies etc) in Solid Explorer (with root access).
But, since the update to OxygenOS 10.0.0 with Android 10 this does not work anymore. Solid Explorer says that the app has been deleted, but after a reboot it is still there.
When I try to uninstall one of the apps with Titanium Backup, the message "Cannot remove system app. Failed to locate the apk file."
Does anyone have an idea how to permanently uninstall and delete system apps?
Thanks!

On Android 10 it's not possible anymore to delete system apps directly from OS, even with root access. You must use Titanium for show the path of apps you want deleted, system apps are located on :
system/system/app
system/system/priv-app
Go in recovery TWRP
> mount Cache, System, Vendor, Persist, Data, Firmware partitions
> Advanced > File Manager > system/system/priv-app/Gmail > "Folder" button on right bottom > Delete
Do the same thing for all apps that you want deleted.
Actually,it does get deleted from a root explorer, however, few apps have symlinks as well, or few apps have stubs as well. Hence those may invoke reinstallation automatically. Those are the ones which need to be deleted permanently from recovery (especially).
As you have discovered, several apk files are system linked and so every reboot will bring them back. To counter this I use the xXx debloat script. The module is flashed in Magisk and allows one to select which apps and services you want removed. Here is a link to the module on xda: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82391573&postcount=2.
You can flash the module with stock settings or make a custom profile as I did.
I have a question or two...
1) Is it ok to convert Chrome and Google Maps from system to user apps in android 10?
2) Will first deleting the app using TWRP, then install it from Playstore convert the app from a system to a user app?
