im unable to boot my phone

Options
1) is bootloader already unlocked ?
If it is, I would try to find a ROM for your specific version, and flash it after doing a wipe.
That may resolve the issue.

Flash custom recovery

A friend just gave me a G2 because he had some issues. I want to flash stock rom again but I can't enter into download mode. I hold volume up while plugging in the phone to pc and it just boots normally. I tried to flash custom recovery. I flashed CWM via Rom manager, TWRP via flashify but it's not working. When I boot into recovery it's just the stock recovery, no TWRP no CWM. Any ideas? Am I missing something? Do I need to unlock bootloader? I searched for how to unlock bootloader but I can't find anything. (I managed to root the phone)

First, AFAIK, the G2 needs to downgrade to certain build version (???) before able to install custom recovery. In my case, D80020y, all I needed was installing and running the AutoRec app by Cloudyfa (?)
Second, I hope you already know that but worth to remind, you have to enter (press Power button) 3 times from stock recovery to custom (TWRP) recovery mode.

[Q] No recovery mode and afraid of entering there :(

Hello guys! I have a big problem Please, help me. I was on Cloudy Flex 2.8 Rom. Then I decided to flash Cloudy G2 3.3 (G4 UI) Rom. Ok, I wiped dalvik, cache, system and data from TWRP then installed rom's zip. After installing was complete, rebooted my device and it stucked in boatloader. Nothing was working except Download Mode. I could enter Download Mode. Buttt, I thought that I had to enter recovery for repearing Rom or flahing another kind of rom or etc. I also, couldn't enter recover Then, I wanted to solve these problems with SRK Tool. I did this option there: Unbrick - qhsusb_bulk 9006 (No Recovery Mode,No Download Mode).
Now, when I connect my device to computer, it gives error seing "security error" on screen. Now, I want to enter recovery but I am afraid of losing my data if custom recovery lost. So, my custom recovery lost now? Or, I can enter recovery? If custom recovery lost, how can I flash it again without any losing data? Thanks in advance! Best regards!!!
Noone can help me?

If they flashed successfully, you only need to turn the phone off completely and then enter into recovery mode manually as in doing the gesture to go into twrp

Stuck on Boot screen

Hi
I followed the guide on here to install TWRP on my S8 however for some reason I am stuck on the boot screen I cannot load into recovery I can go into Odin mode I was on the latest firmware G950FXXU1AQJ1
Any help will be appreciated
Thanks in advance
re-flash stock rom again
You can just flash the recovery if you don't want to loose everything, if you need a flashable recovery image let me know. Your phones bootloader is most likely locked, same thing happend to my phone when I tried TWRP on it, turns out bootloader was locked.

As advised earlier before doing anything you need to make sure oem unlock is set to on in developer options.

Phones back to normal recovery would flash but would not boot into it by bootloader do you mean OEM?
One other thing, when I got twrp, I didn't want to flash a Rom at the time, I just wanted twrp and the official stock firmware, and I found it would not boot until I wiped data in twrp.
What's your phone model?
You can flash the OEM recovery, the reason I ask for your model is the fact that any USA snapdragon bootloader cannot be unlocked yet so you have no choice but to return to OEM recovery. If you give me your model I'll compile a file to flash that will reinstall your in stock recovery.
It really depends on your model because some you have to insure your bootloader is unlocked, while some varrients are just totally locked.
I can give you a file to return you to stock recovery if you need it.

Weird One Plus 6T Behavior

Hello fellow XDA members!
My 6T, has a issue that i cant figure out! Its runs fine, currently on OS 10.3.8
But when i try to load a custom recovery (TWRP, Paint it Black) I enter the command on my pc (fastboot boot twrp.img) It says on my pc that it booted the recovery but on my phone it goes into fastboot mode logo, and stays there for like 10 seconds, and then i get the famous Qualcomm CrashDump Mode. I have restored the phone as per the instructions (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/installing-updating-backup-and-restore-guide-for-op6-6t.4254987/) and the phone restore perfectly, but it wont let me flash a custom recovery to root it. Can someone help please?
Would you specify which version of TWRP you are trying to boot please?

Maybe try official twrp.
Hey, I'm having the same issue. Were you ever able to solve this?
Use this to boot twrp
Brettroth said:
Use this to boot twrp. Then in twrp advanced menu flash this twrp to make it permanent. Reboot to twrp.
