Need help reverting back to Android Marshmallow from Android N Preview - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I previously had my 6P on Marshamallow 6.0.1 with systemless root. When the Android N previews came about I manually flashed it using the method in this thread here (9. How To Update To A New Build Of The Stock ROM). However, I decided to revert because some apps don't work well in N. But when I used the same exact method with the 6.0.1 images my phone gets stuck at the login screen, flashes the message "the process android.process.acore has stopped" when I open the camera, and bootloops. Any help please?

Have you tried factory reset then re flash M

I'm definitely thinking about doing a factory reset but it's a last resort. In the meantime is there anything else I can do?
Edit: LOL I think I accidentally factory reset it anyway. I'll let you know if it works!

[Q] Note 4 - Encryption Brick?

Hello,
I may have bricked my phone but I'm open to suggestions of possible solutions.
I upgraded to lollipop and everything was working great, I decided to try out the encryption functionality and now it doesn't boot...
It gives me an error screen saying that encryption failed, perform a factory reset. I have done so and it still won't turn on...
Since I have done a ADB push rom.zip to it and that didn't work.
Tried both TWRP and CWM to factory reset...
Do you guys have any other ideas?
Thanks
Anthony
Solved
I did end up finding a solution, thought it would be nice to share just in case someone else has the same problem.
Flashing to CM12 actually worked and got me through but I wasn't happy being limited to CM12 because when I flashed back to the rom it had the same issue.
I flashed to a standard rom from Samsung and used it's factory recovery menu to do the reset and that worked

HELP!!! Galaxy A5 - SM-A500H stuck in bootloop optimizing apps after lollipop update

Can anyone direct me on this? I used ODIN to flash the new lollipop update 5.0.2 on my friend's A5. Odin went successfully, but when the phone reboot, it got to the ANDROID UPGRADING SCREEN... Optimizing Apps ##/197 ... and goes for a while and gets stuck and reboots and comes back to the same spot and reboots.
What could be wrong? I have wiped factory reset and wiped cache. What am I missing?
Thanks in advance!

Your steps seem to be correct. Maybe the firmware that you downloaded may have got corrupted. Try downloading it again and check if it is for your variant.

Make sure you flashed correct firmware and try to reset your device.

I flashed it via fastboot. The ROM is RETASIA XT1562 6.0.
i think i have identified the issue, it happens when the phone is 'checking connection' after I enter my Google account. To make sure of this I flashed CM on it without Gapps and it was fine but when I flashed Gapps and after I entered my Google account (while setting the phone up) it started rebooting again.

I flashed the right firmware and I tried resetting the phone through recovery but it still keeps rebooting.

I don't try setting my Google profile while the phone is starting when it asks me to. You can also set your Google account after you have booted the phone. Maybe helps.

The same problem occurred for when I flashed the android 6. 0 moto x play rom.
To fix this I factory reseted it worked fine.
You could also try reflashing android 5.1.1 and then upgrading to 6.0 through ota update
Also make sure you flashed the correct version of the rom for you region

I tried factory reset but it still happened. I tried CM 13 and it happened in that too.
When I try to flash OTA update on 5.1.1 stock I get a 'Status 7' error so I can't do that too.
I guess I'm stuck with CM 12.1

If your phone has twrp, then try restoring the stock zip file through twrp.
You can find that stock zip in the forum.

Hi OP - has anything worked for you so far? I've got a friend with a similar issue so if you managed to fix this, then steps to replicate would be appreciated. Cheers.

i tried to to sideload a 700m some zip file to fix the prob, it doesn't work on my 6p cause the version is moved to mtc20L, i need help!

thanks for reply. my 6p is running 6.0.1 (MTC20L) before it couldn't start up. now i do the recovery steps ,i can see the version is the same. i tried everything except the factory image cause i didn't get phone unlocked.
about three days ago, i turned off my 6p ,when i restarted it , it just stuck on the google logo and then restart and stuck on the google logo again and again.
i did nothing wrong before, even i hadn't got the 7.0 official ota update, i only got a 27M updating package of september which was described as a preparation update for the update of 7.0
my device is locked both oem and the bootloader, so i can only do the reset to factory mode, clear data and cache, no use. i tried to adb sideload the recent google OTAs including MTC20L ,7.0.0 (NRD90T) 7.0.0 (NRD90U), no use. before the brick occured, i got my device ota mtc20l. now i can do nothing but wait for more help fromanyone and hoping google may give a cure.

Nexus Bootloop (tried flashing and wiping)

Hi,
I have a rooted nexus 6p, all was well until it decided to reboot and boot-loop when I opened my music app. I get as far as the white Google logo then the phone restarts and I'm back to the normal warning then Google logo then reboot.
I have managed to get into the recovery screen (with the android laying down) but when i choose recovery mode the phone just starts boot-looping again.
I am wondering if I have somehow managed to hard brick it?
I have tried to flash the latest OS onto my phone but it said no signature.
I did managed to wipe the device also.
Thanks for any help.
Are you on Nougat or still on MM? Since you're rooted, it means you didn't receive an OTA. Did you flash it yourself, originally?

When my phone started playing up I was still on MM 6.0.1, I tried to flash N after the boot-looping started.
Thanks
