DZ09 Smartwatch - Any Way To Install Android Wear (Or Any Other Firmware) On It?

Hey guys,
I know for a fact that most of you probably wouldn't know about the DZ09 Smartwatch (Chinese clone of the Samsung Gear series?). I've been reading about some topics that indicate a way to use different firmware on this particular watch. One of the topics were found here: niezarmsan.blogspot.my/2015/12/how-to-install-firmware-on-dz09-mtk6260.html
I want to find a way to somehow install Android Wear (or it could be any other firmware) on this smartwatch. I don't know if it can support Android Wear, or any other firmware available. Also, yes, I know this is a Chinese smartwatch that isn't as perfect as it is displayed on websites, but I just want to see what my smartwatch is capable of. In the link posted above, another link is shared for a set of other custom watch faces for the DZ09 smartwatch, which was said to be uploaded to the smartwatch by flashing the smartwatch first, and uploading the set of watch faces to it. Basically, I want to install another firmware on to the DZ09 smartwatch and probably install different watch faces if the first option does not work.
I hope you guys can help me out with this. It seems like a stupid idea to be asking about this, but there could be a possibility of updating my smartwatch.

BT notifier not downloading?
Try smartwear by mediateck or galapad, search on web for it . or try fundo smart device. I've barcode scanned mine and it worked by downloading but my wife's wouldn't , trying to find an app that will work with her phone and watch.. BT notifers and such don't work . running android 4.4.2, if that helps on lollipop. Maybe there's a setting switch off or something on her phone that's different than mine, we both have the same phones. The zte obsidian.

Hi! For me, the problem is that I can not APLUS, GT8, install the firmware hours (DZ09). Each window has to be a driver, the flshtool also recognized as a communication tool. Everything is there where you need to browse. Even if it jams on the clock to USB, the program is about. "Counts" for half a minute and then it is an error. I Have A Chinese Smart Watch DZ09 How Do I Scan The Bar Code Because Nothing Else Seems To Be Working.

Plz help me becauz when I changed the firmware of my DZ09 SMARTWATCH its touch is not working from then I have tried many other firmwares available on google drive but some of them have inverted colours , inverted screen, half screen and all those whom do not have these problems listed above their touch is not working plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help me ,you can send reply on [email protected]

Does anyone know how to make this thing run? It does almost nothing when I connect it Bluetooth to my phone. Is there a pc program to flash a update or at least a new working interfaces?

What if u somehow manage to swap the chipset and make it mt6580 rather than the mt625[(0)(1)][(d(a)][a][m]?
Will i be able to get android on the watch?
Will both the SoCs have the same solder ball structure?
Also will android work without internal storage?
Can i just use sdcard as a storage for them folders needed?
Will the screen be compatible if i flash firmware of qwo9 which runs android 4.1?
Will a "phone" version of android work in the small screen of dz09?
Also if its any useful info, i dont care about camera or sim right now...

AllWinner R16 w/ Marshmallow 6.0.1 Audio Playback issue

I'm not sure where the proper thread for this is, but I purchased a single din flip unit from pumpkin.
It's nice, works fast, but none of my music apps work in the background. I have 2 other android units in my other cars and I'm able to use Waze while music plays from another app [Spotify, iHeartRadio, Sirius, Stitcher, etc]. If I open GPS, or just place my other music apps in the background while viewing the home screen, after a minute the music stops with no warning or error message. It's as if something automatically kills the process.
On my old 4.4 An-21 this doesn't happen, nor on my other android unit in my truck. Reached out to Pumpkin and they say this is normal and only the stock installed music app and radio will work in background. I find that hard to believe.
Any tips, hacks, or tricks??? If I can fix this I'll be satisfied with the unit.

Fixed the audio Issue? Yes.
Playing music through AIMP, working with Waze and Google Maps running.
Not the exact same unit but is QuadCore-R16. Firmware should be interchangeable but not responsible for any bad flashes.

Just extract the files inside into a USB drive. Go into the settings and do a system update. Might be in the car settings section. If just flashing does not work. Do a factory reset after you saved all your settings.

I also has a problem with closing music player. Is this firmware will solve this problem? What are the modifications in this firmware?

Me either got this problem. All music apps (spotify, google music etc), stops when back to home screen. Did not happen to stock music and radio though. Is the problem solved by updating to new firmware?

go to setting > Memory
there should be an option to " memory clean app list " or something like this
then check the checkbox on the apps you want to work when in background
its working for me..

Anyone making customs builds for these yet?
Factory video player app keeps having issues with only blank screen and no soft button or gesture response. Tried VLC as alternate player but only audio gets played (even tried disabling HW layers).

Not paying attention I downloaded and flashed the wrong file i thought I chose single din file but instead got the file for double din radio an now my screen shows nothing bu lines through it although everything else works fine radio and music apps i just cant see the screen or what I am selecting I have been looking for the stock/original flash files for this radio without any luck hoping i can recover it with a bootable disk option of some sort to reflash it any help would be much appreciated currently stuck with a very expensive brick

I believe 2din vs 1din does not make any difference in terms of ROM version, screen resolution does. Is there a chance you've downloaded wrong resolution ROM? If so, just download yours and reflash.

Long story short the file i ended up flashing i got off the russian forums because thats the only place i could find files for my specific unit but i didn't read the small print at the bottom that had files linked somewhere else and i wasnt suppose to do a certain update because it makes the screen stop working an I was originally trying to fix the battery threshold level to keep unit from restarting from acc to on position it took the update fine just when it restarted the unit the screen hasnt worked since so I've been trying to find a way to either make a auto update recovery disk of some sort or connect a pc to it through adb or something an anither thing to note is i have no back up or anything of my unit an its been a pain trying to find one i messaged the original seller to see if they could help me out an send me the stock files

The information on the unit comes back as a Allwinner T3-P3 single din 7 inch touch screen unit with android 6.0 R 16 A9 cortex processor the manufacturer goes by Hizpo

No, but I still have the unit and to be honest they sent me another one and it still work i suppose i got break it out and get my tools out and dive in getting my hands dirty and try to extract the firmware file myself from the unit

Hi, I would like to talk in this thread about a new kind of head unit with MCU STM32.

Personally I have bought two week ago and am using it from a week and is better than the px5 unit that I have to another car.

If it's sound and tuner, are you sure that is a firmware problem and it is not hardware ? I suggest a return for warranty of unit is new.

I have a 'blue aluminum' PX6 with STM32 arrived some days ago. From outside it looks just fine however when I started to test it thoroughly it was proved to be disappointing.
I attach software detail in a screenshot.
From software/OS point of view my unit is very unsophisticated.
- OS has been customized by the manufacturer, almost nothing like android 9 on a phone.
- 'Radio' is a startup app and cannot turn it off, very annoying for me.
- 'Settings' app is very customized with limited functionality, really basic.
- The system does some iteration of boot cycle sometimes, I have not yet figured out what is the trigger.
Personally, I would install a custom ROM such as for MTCD/MTCE variants as soon as I have it, sadly no ROM for STM32 variant yet.
I am very sad that such a "modern" hardware has such poor software.

I am also unskilled to extract the ROM from my unit (STM32).
I have seen a post on rooting this STM32 variant, you can try that.

I have mine rooted... No problems with the firmware... Never got any errors or anything... Maybe I was lucky and they sent me one which was made with attention

Uhmm... I just installed supersu and copied all files needed for root in their places... Reboot, Then busybox and there I have the root...

Hello, I'm having a problem with the same ****. I bought a car audio company in Lodz because I was afraid of the Chinese and it was a mistake! I described this problem here in the forum in another topic. Generally, I need a batch file because I inserted a flash drive and he told me to format it so I did and then he asked if the flash drive should be shared memory and I accidentally pressed ok and all system files were irreversibly copied to the flash drive. The liar who installed me says it's my fault and there's nothing he can do about it because it's irreversible. I used it maybe two months and it's still under warranty but you can't get along with this idiot to help. The device resets while driving and generally goes dumb. I got angry and took it out and installed it in another Comfortmedia company but that one is lying and I would like to fix it and sell it. Please help, it's a shame to lose so much money.
