Fingerprint Scanner not working - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Recently, Cyanogenmod got the feature for fingerprint scanners on the Samsung Galaxy S5. I updated my phone to the latest version and whenever I try to use my fingerprint scanner it allows me to save one but it gives me a "not recognized" message whenever used on the lockscreen. I've tried re-installing the ROM and even flashing Mokee ROM and it gives me the same message so I need some help.

before asking for help, read the forum rules and after that try too post in the right section with your question

I don't really use xda so I'm not really sure where to post this. Where would I post my question. (thanks for the reply btw)

For any questions you should post on the Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting section. As @ad0dh67 said, before asking first read the rules and do a search about the topic you are trying to find out about first. There is one post on the General Section posted by the developer that got the fingerprint working. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/fingerprint-opensource-romcm-mokee-t3315196 He basically states there that there are some devices in which fingerprint doesnt work yet at least for cm, If I recall correctly the G900T(T-Mobile) is one of them. I have one myself and it doesnt work for me either so we just have to wait and see what happens or you can install his rom and see if it works there.

Maybe an obvious question, but do you swipe your finger over the scanner or just place it on it?

I could have closed the thread but I want to know if the OP got his/her issue solved with the answer provided by LMiller.
I did move it since it isn't Development. Next time, post in the Q&A instead of opening new threads (as also pointed by LMiller)

During setup, SuperSU was one of the choices, then there was another with a similar name (I forget what the other option was at the moment.)
That is, assuming I understand your question correctly.
2 exploits that were available did not work. There was even some hesitancy to install it in the first place because an alert said Google recommends you don't install this because it contains suspicious code (not in those words, but you know what I mean.) I went ahead with installation because I didn't hear any negative talk about it after a little searching through the internet.
Questions go in the q&a forum, report your own post and ask a moderator to move it.
Instead of taking the chance of bricking your phone, why not follow the routing guide in the sticky thread?

Nice ROM.
I like to know where the location of recorded calls are saved.
I know it used to be on Device memory under Sounds but now I cant find it.
:good:
Go the ROM thread and delete this post.
This are rom related questions that can be easily discussed or solved in the dedicated rom thread where you got this rom from.
November/December will my HTC One M8 arrive !
Fixed it

[UPCOMING-ROM] CarbonROM

Hey guys,
I've successfully compiled and am currently using CarbonROM.(https://carbonrom.org/) I haven't found any bugs so far. I will be releasing this to everyone tonight when I get off of work and it will be posted in the dev section. Just giving you guys a heads up of whats coming!
All the features work as long as you wipe and flash correctly. I love these pie controls, no more navigation bar.
BTW, I have the Virgin Mobile version of this phone.(a5_chl) It should work on other variants too.
I will be porting over other ROM's as well.
'The only thing that is keeping me from giving it to you guys right now is uploading it.
-liquidplacidity
Trying to upload CarbonROM into the dev section and I need 10 posts. I have 7 so far, this will make 8. lol

I'm trying to post it in Android Original Development but XDA keeps saying that I can't access the page until I have 10 posts, in which this is post #12. Not sure what's happening but hopefully it's cleared up soon.
I'd like to give this to you guys faster.
