What is XOSP and how was it born?◦ XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by me for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normal use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices and from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn addons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years by trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on my Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in stanby till i decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices. The ROM will now also feature a White Indigo theme for all the ROM (framework, Settings and so on) and of course the newest Xperia Applications ported from the SystemDumps provided by the Sony community.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP
• Revisions and Releases◦ I've got a different type of releasing, i will not provide weekly builds but just let me show you how the revisions and release type works: The revisions refers like to a sort of Nightly thing i mean the changes included in the ROM are small not as a Release one. All the releases got 5 revisions. So the Release is something even bigger right? Hell yeah! When a new Release is released expect many improvements or new features

Flash it before you go blind by the awesomeness :googles xD

Thanks, the ROM itself looks good. It's basically CM13 with extra features, some Xperia apps (more complex ones not included, unlike in my ROM (Xperia soundenhancements, Phonebook, systemui with small apps)) and custom theme (what I don't understand, why isn't it Xperia theme).
I have just flashed it. As it's a first release, there're some bugs as of now. The biggest problem is the camera, the stock one gives soft reboot, third party apps are crashing. Another bug is that hardware keys are not disabled if you enable navbar. Everything else seems to work at first glance.

will keep an eye on this too, add all xperia apps, fixx the bugs. First release, bugs are expected., and may be you will get a number of users. Good luck

Installation Instructions
ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!
Coming from another rom/clean install:
Reboot to recovery.
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache, data
Flash rom zip and gapps
Reboot
Updating from a previous build/dirty flash:
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache in recovery
Flash rom zip, gapps and any other zips you may use
Reboot
Magisk is included as default Root providing application. However if you prefer any other root providing solution, please flash magisk uninstaller (search in xda) before you proceed.
As an alternate root solution, SuperSU can be flashed, v2.78 works for me. After flashing, your device may boot twice before boot animation, don't worry it'll be fine after that.
Some users reported 2.52 Beta worked for them.
You can use phhSuperuser as well for root access, get the it from here and you need to install the play store app also.
Substratum support is there as long as you have root and latest Substratum app. Some may have a little catching up to do, have fun testing them!
If you have any issues, grab a log after a clean flash, upload and link here please. Add steps to reproduce the issue in your post.
Do not report issues dirty flashing this over some unofficial build or with some kernel flashed.
Logcat Extreme app is great as you can choose to start recording a log just before reproducing an error and stop recording just after so you log just the part you need.
Xposed is not supported here, if you want to run it and have issues, try an Xposed thread for support and bug reports here only welcome with a clean install with no Xposed present.
Make sure to state which rom you are running when asking for support

About time Validus love was shared around, lol
On here
Awesome guys that we are finally on here... This is an AWESOME ROM!!!
Thanks

Here's what I like about your ROM that sets it aside from others. You've figured out the expanded desktop feature! I have my whole screen back now. Great work.
Finally my 5GHZ band is showing again at my wifi
What kernel you use? I will try stock first but wonder why i cant change scheduler
I installed this ROM with hopes of Themes being enabled. Strangely, no themes could be installed from the play store, which renders it useless. Does this work for anyone else?

Really! That's because the theme engine is brand new and themes haven't caught up yet. That being said there are three themes that I know of that have made a start.

Problem flashing roms
Hello. I am on Resurrection Rom. I want to flash this rom.
I'm booting to TWRP doing a factory reset, wipe dalvik and cache. Then flashing this rom. Flashing open gapps ARM64.
The rom don't boot. Any other rom also don't boot. I can only see starting picture OnePlus. What am I doing wrong? Sorry for bad English.
maybe you could insert (link to) some Screenshots? It would be helpful.
Screenshot of what?

I do this for a while, I have trouble finding a rom that runs well without worries
I installed this ROM but it doesn't boot up, I see a lot of errors when installing in Recovery and the XOSP Gapps don't install either...just thought I'd leave some feedback and if someone has gotten it to work then it'll be good to know
But excited for this and hopefully this will get fixed
Is this still being developed?

What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP stands for the Xperia Open Source Project. The project was initially created by me (@nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) years ago. Back then the ROM was called S+ Reborn. The vision was to create a minimal bloat free ROM which included Sony Xperia specific apps and various tweaks users would expect from a custom ROM.
S+ Reborn became a success and was eventually ported to different devices so from there I rebranded and XOSP project was founded. I worked on the project for 2 years always trying to improve it. Eventually, Because of the fact Lollipop was buggy on my Galaxy S+ (Which I maintained xosp for at the time) I decided to take a break from development until I got my hands on the zenfone 2 which from there xosp development has continued ever since.

If Album is crashing, just update it from Playstore.
This looks pretty nice. I think I'm going to give it a whirl.
awesome rom!
I tried installing this, but it keeps bootlooping, I came from OOS 3.2.0, flashed XOSP, gapps (stock) and XOSPApps, what am I doing wrong?
**I changed the gapps to nano and it boots now**
I really like this ROM, but I am having problems with the radio (cellular signal), I have very little reception (I am in NYC) I believe that is causing the phone to heatup and drain the battery faster, does it have the same radio.img from OOS3.2.0 ?
This rom looks damn awwwww.. Gonna try this soon..

Radio is not included in the rom. So, it is already the stock in your phone.

NOTE: It is strongly recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
I N S T A L L A T I O N

As everyone knows these builds are fully free of cost to download, but these ROMs are made on servers, and as a student it's difficult for me to manage to pay for it. It would really mean a lot if you donated to us. Thanks.
