nice kernel i think this belongs in the T-mobile section of the V10 tho

I have it installed so testing now

This would be great with some native call recording on it and some audio tweaks

Just saw this, I'm about to make a backup and install this bad boy. Thanks for this! Will definitely check back and post some feedback after a couple of battery cycles ??

It runs great, it is still a beta-ish kernel, so there may be a few growing pains... But v1.1 has been my daily for two days with no issues with the exception of xposed disabling itself(easy fix). But no other problems...

We only have source for the h901 kernel, I haven't seen any other model source... If anyone can find source and link it here, @livlogik may be able to build something, but he is very busy, and it may be too much for him, as he has a wife and child, school, and a full time job that come before anything else... But without a source, there is absolutely no chance, if one is found, then it is a remote possibility, but I wouldn't hold my breath...

I thought we had to have a bootloader unlocked for swapping kernels?

You do. This is actually for the tmobile version which is bootloader unlocked.

@livlogik
I tried this the other day but it never booted. My steps where: DL from your op link, make Nandroid, install kernel (no error messages during our after install), wiped cache and Dalvik cashe, reboot, waited ten min, pulled battery, powered on device, stuck at boot animation.
Did I miss something? Been flashing for year but I could have missed a step.
I only tried once. I may try again tonight.

Do you have the tmobile variant of the v10? Also try flashing it without wiping dalvik cache and cache. But either way it should be working.
Also are you downloading the link from the T-Mobile Original Development? I have not been able to update this thread yet. Sorry

Yes, I have the T-Mobile V10.
I think I DL'd the one from the link in this thread.
When I get some free time I'll do it again but using the DL from the thread you mentioned. I'll be sure to report back once I do. Thanks.
EDIT: I see the light bro. For some reason I couldn't access the a T-Mobile thread with Tapatalk. [emoji53]
Once I was in Chrome I could actually see the thread you are taking about which has v1.1.

Hello everyone, as by now you should know us as teamvicious, we arent very happy we couldnt get mms fixed on MIUI. But we will never give up hope, till then we are tinkering with SENSE to see if we can bring it alive some. I for one am not a fan of sense 3.0, so i dnt use it. 2.1 was fine because i usually replaced it with launcher pro or something. I hope you enjoy the rom
and see that we are still attempting to develop for you guys. Stick around

just get a browser.apk from another sense rom and flash it or push it. But i was having issues with it force closing on the downloads section of default so i replaced it. Hmm you tried Skyfire, Firefox, Opera or any other alternative? Maxthon Browser was preloaded on MIUI for a long time. Should try that to
I tried to flash this and it won't boot for me. I'm going to download it again tonight and see if that's the problem.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
it should boot no one else has had a problem like that so far. Maybe a bad flash or bad dl. Check the Md5 signature, and sometimes copying to ur sd card can mess up also.
I'm thinking its a bad download. Everything checked out prior to flashing so I'm going to try again later.
Update: I still can't get this ROM to boot. I flashed gapps to see what would happen and it would make it past the boot animation but it would fc setup wizard and just show a black screen with he status bar.

Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Superwipe worked. Its odd though because in the 4 years I've been rooting phones I have never had to do that for a rom to flash. So far I'm liking this rom though. I don't like having to debloat it though. I know you're trying to replace some of the apps lost from desense but some are pretty redundant. There are like 3 app managers.

TeamDRH (Dirty Reset Hole) presents the first public alpha for Android 4.1.X (Jelly Bean).
DISCLAIMER
Attention commuters of the intertubes! The group of individuals known as Team DRH take absolutely NO RESPONSIBILITY for any DAMAGE that YOU cause to YOUR device! This "labor of love" we call and Android ROM comes AS IS and is not an official release by any means. If you have not already SOILED your device by flashing a custom ROM then to do so will VOID any WARRANTY you may have left. Team DRH and its affiliates are not responsible if your G-Tablet does any of the following: Explodes, Flies off to space to battle the Flying Spaghetti Monster, Is generally awesome, solves world hunger or explodes... again. (OK We take responsibility for you Tablet becoming Awesomesauce.) So in essence... Flash this totally rad ROM at your own RISK and prepare to Spontaneously Combust with AWESOMENESS!
HOW TO INSTALL
Download the following file <--- Seriously don't skip this step unless you are 100% positive that you have a 350M system partition (md5: 256a4bf1da503f4a1ec1f998a00a05f2)
Boot tablet into APX mode by holding volume down and power for about 6 seconds
Plug tablet into computer
NVFLASH the above following the instructions that are included for Windows/Linux users
Turn tablet back on (it will boot into recovery)
Partition Internal SD Card (2048M/0)
Enable USB connection and copy DRH ROM onto internal/external sdcard
Flash ROM that was copied over
Enjoy!
The ROM's system folder was very close to the max size our system partition could handle on the G-Tablet and with any bad blocks, it was more than the G-Tablet could handle and installing GApps made it even worse. In this release the system size has increased from 200MB (stock gtab) to 350MB. Since Jellybean is so large in size this is needed. The cache directory has been syslinked to the internal sdcard as to save space on the NAND. This is the same setup that ICS 1.3.2 had.
WHAT WORKS
WIFI
Hardware Acceleration
Sleep
WiFi
Bluetooth
Sensors
Sound
USB/MTP (If you plug in USB while your tablet is asleep you will have a SOD)
Capacitive Buttons
Hardware Buttons
USB Flash Drives
Proper SD Card Mounts
HD Videos
Dock
More to come...
WHAT'S NOT WORKING
Camera
Microphone (Works but drops after 6-8secs)
Possible ROM Slowdowns
HDMI Audio
Version Info:
This build of JB will be starting at Alpha 5.0. Reason being in the ICS ROM version's 1.x interfered with bootloader version and Android version. We are trying to get away from that mess so we just decided to jump to 5.0. 5.0 is basically the equivalent to 1.0.
Final Thoughts:
This build has been tested and running on some "unbootable" tablets. This is not a guarantee this ROM will work on your tablet. Also this ROM is still going through the testing phase so there is most likely to be bugs. Finally, I have mentioned quite a bit about the 3.1 kernel. Right now this ROM is still running on the .39 kernel. This will change in the near future. We are still ironing out kinks in the 3.1 kernel and it is not ready for public consumption yet.

Anyone tried this rom with 1.1 BL? Currently running DRH ICS that way. Only way I could get rom to load. Wondering how nvflashing to 350mb will affect me.
Thanks to the drh team.
I would like to ask how is the rom performance as compared to other ics roms? Why is this still called alpha when things equal to ics roms work?

Just wanted to say thank you to Team DRH. This build installed flawlessly on my G-Tab and it works great. Haven't tried the camera yet (listed as non-working anyway), but everything else is working without a hitch.
Good job Team DRH, its teams like you who keep our faith in the tablet even though the manufacturer's have abandoned it. Just out of curiosity, does this rom fix the battery drain issue that seems to occur on every 2.2 rom? I havent the chance to test this out yet, but would be keen to if the current drain is atleast slowed
How to male Play market working with this rom?

I have had it installed for several days now and can tell you that the battery life seems great. I've had my daughter playing on it for several hours and then I played a fairly intensive game (Major Mayhem) for about an hour and when I checked the battery after that it still said I had about 60% left.

Follow the instructions to flash the gapps package. I had to do it twice for some reason. After that, you'll have a Market app that once you launch it will eventually upgrade itself to the Play Store.

Thanks, I should have worded it better hehe I meant the standby battery drain. If you put the tab on standby does it still drain 20+% overnight?
Rom has been working great. Its fast and smoother than ICS but I can't get adobe flash to install from the market or see it it says its not compatible.

For starters I am not a Developer, I am not a Themer, but what I am is not important.
This is something that I have been working on for the past 2 weeks. Didn't want to
release it until I knew others can handle it. This is G-Harmony4.0.4 broken down on
Crack. Fully Deodexed with Modded scripts to Match. After Installation and setup is
complete let it rest for 10 - 15 minutes to allow the Dalvic to build. After that hold on
with both hands and enjoy the ride. Sorry this only comes as a 160 lcd, but can be
by changing the build prop.
I want to thank tjohnsonjr for bring us [ROM-AOSP][BL-1.2]G-Harmony ICS 4.0.4 ODEXed
so I can rip it apart and bring you this amateur build
Also Special Thanks goes to fosser2 for helping me out with some initial issues, and bring us
to the ICS and Jelly Bean Stages
Just when you think it couldn't get much better then this
Then I update and it just keeps getting better
This one will keep going all night long
Now I bring you SmOoTh_IcE 4.0.4 (deodexed)

Yeah it does that if you don't let it rest for the whole 10 to 15 min. Some devices might react different. Maybe needing a longer cool off period. I am running this along with everyone that does so I can try to duplicate issues as they come in if any and try to resolve them.
Edit : Updated OP
Yea I let it sit a little longer and it works fine now,the play store that is. It has started to lag in chrome a lot can't figure that one out.
Sent from my Malata SMBA1002 using xda app-developers app
lag might have to do with files left in the init.d folder...if you aren't using supercharger, I suggest removing files from the folder and rebooting.

I am going to add this to the initial setup of the device after replacing the stock file manager with one that can be used to do it. Thank you for some insight. Does any one have a well place script that can be added to automatically do this?

Like all the ICS Builds for the Gtab we are using the Kernel off of Team DRH's build made by fosser2 and others. Once they get the kernel perfected there will be no Camera. This has Kernel base 1.3 I took the build with 1.3.2 off line. To the Sleep of Death issue Yes there is always that chance of it happening. Just beware of what you are doing and also word of advise change your display sleep setting to max.

Is this speedier than G Harmony? I love it, with the exception of Email Speed and some internet Lag.
OK, I will be the guy to ask...If already on the latest G-harmony ICS, would a cache and Dalvik flush be enough when flashing this?

Wanted to ask a few questions.
1. Does this Mem Mod Kernel degrade my Sd-Card(class-4). Coz a similar kernel is used in The Ultimatum and its specified to use Class-6 or above.
2. Is this exactly the same kernel usd in The Ultimatum?
3. What does the icon to the left of signal bar indicate? Neva seen this before...
4. Viper4Android is asking for some strange settings. Can you pls suggest the zettings to be used?

just remove battery and put it back in, it should start normally, I had the same issue (same with The Ultimatum rom)
My impressions are good, rom si really fast, maybe even faster than The Ultimatum (slightly more fluid?) but I really dont like the lockscreen theme and wifi, gsm signal, battery icons, notification bar blue color theme... Had force close loop when tried to unistall smart launcher via titanium backup, rebooted into recovery and restored The Ultimatum 3.0 backup I made earlier (with timescape interface, I find it most beautifull) whit which I was already very happy, so I'll stick with it, and wait for an update that will maybe make The Ultimatum even better

3-13-14- new kernel with no oc based off of delorespark kernel source with davepmer wi-fi + full device tree including ramdisk..all deloresparks original patches for audio and charger. It doesn't have his latest bluetooth patch but i will add into next build. i will upload an oc kernel in post #2 shortly for those wanting one. Dont know about adding govs...they seem to lag pretty bad and i have yet to find any in other tegra 3 device. I'm thinking there is reason for that...so instead i will try to tweek interactive and ondemand and see how that runs.
3-29-14- new build based off delores park aosp repos and all his patches except 2nd a2dp patch which caused problems with viper4android and some bluetooth audio freeze ups. I will start weekly updates now and sometimes sooner if needed. No overclock in rom but I will upload a new basic oc kernel tomorrow.

In the OP it says everything is working. Probably the ROM is based on Dave's device trees, that's what my public PAC build will be based on.
Sent from my Sero 7 Pro using Tapatalk
Everything I have tested has worked so far...I'm going to get an HDMI cord today so I can test that. All other video and sound works and HDMI should as well but haven't been able to test. The device tree and current kernel are based from Randomblames repo but have little bits and pieces from tf101 tf301 grouper davpmer and delorespark. I'm currently switching the kernel base to davepmers , he did a lot of work fixing the hack job hisense did on the source code. I used randomblames first because deloresparks audio fix was made for taktik and I wanted to test first with that kernel base. I have a build going now with a new gummy sync and davepmers kernel.
Also anyone else having issues uploading to dev-host I get to 100% and I hangs...tried 3 different computers at 2 separate locations same result.
Edit...
---just beamed a pic to my xt926 with NFC while Bluetooth audio was playing Pandora..?
---Any request for kernel govs or iosched ? Going to try to build a couple kerneles tonight.

New update in op dev-host and dropbox... made more wi-fi changes from davepmer device tree. still needs reboot at set up but i uploaded because last update was missing quite a few of his changes.
installed latest version yesterda. woke up this morning to a dead tablet. Plugged it in and it tried to boot but i guess not enough juice to run stuck at hisense screen. powered off and left alone for a little while. tried to boot into recovery and would only show charging splash. tried to just normally boot and wala it worked! checked battery status and says 85% android os eating the battery. anyone else notice battery drain? or is it just me?

I am having troubles booting. Sometimes i have to clear cache to boot. Also when the device locks it will not wake up.
Gotta flash when I get home! Glad to see another ROM out there for this tablet

Wow! That is great! I appreciate your work on this ROM! It is the slimmest and quickest ROM to date for our tablet. Thank you very much!
