New update solved mic problem? - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I read that nexus 6p get a update. My question is does this also fix the mic problem? L

3 things.
1. Questions go in the questions forum (even when they're questions pretending to be statements)
2. What mic problem (not enough detail)
3. (And most important) There is already a thread about a mic issue, which you know as you've participated in it before and asked the same question today.

[Q] Headphone Issue Help Request

Ok...First if this is in the wrong place or already addressed, forgive me and give me direction without the noobish condemnation language. After a search I found no answer and I am asking the great minds out there is Epic Androidland to help me with my beloved phone...
I received a great pair of headphones for Christmas by Monster called beats by dr. dre. I can hear out of them fine but cannot be heard through the microphone. What if anything can be done to correct this from a developers point of view? Or is this just a hardware issue that can never be solved? It works perfect on iphones and ipads...
Im running Mammons latest rom on my rooted Epic that has been odined with DK28.
Thank you very much in advance!
Please post questions in General section.

What kind of lamery is this?

I'm trying to post a question on the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1138051
For the Taboonay 2.2 rom and it says that I need to post 10 times elsewhere before I can ask my questions (paraphrased). This is lame!
How am I supposed to ask a question in a relevant thread and have my problem potentially fixed and have others see this problem fixed so it can help them as well? Is this not what forums are for?
This is a bit of a rant but I really need to figure out how to get my bluetooth working after I updated to 2.2 so does anyone have any idea how I can be able to post in that thread to get my (and potentially others') problem solved? Thanks.

This is a tech question post. In the question forum.one more post from you will be 3 of 10 to be able to post in developers section.
This rule is to help keep non development related post from new members out of the forum.read forum rules is advisable ..
Enjoy XDA don't confront them.the rules are set in stone
Post here someone will help likely.
Good luck.
Well, Vache asks us to post in that thread if we need help so that's what I tried to do. I'll post something here-- it's still a lame rule and these arbitrary forum rules are really annoying though. I still can't get over the ones that filter-out three character (or less) searches. I mean, how else is one supposed to search for things like: pdf, etc, gui, kde, x86, ...? Anyway, I don't think these forums have this filter but I'm trying to increase my post count.
Thanks.

in my opinion its a stupid rule. Im a long time reader and have lots of experince with roms / computers / programming and cant post to dev till ten post so spamming which defeats their purpose of trying to reduce spam
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
Rules are rules, I think the 10 post rule is to keep it sorta tidy in here, I was on one forum with little rules and it was fluded with crud.
I don't mind the rules ans love the search button.
I've got nothing to add.. just wanted to see my post count..
I for one don't know if it really is all that effective compared to perhaps a 1 week post restriction after initial signup. I read through the replies in the dev section and can understand why a dev would not revisit their thread. I could go spam several threads to get to 10, but why contribute to increased database size for no beneficial reason? I'm sure this view has been expressed before.
It's precisely BECAUSE of spammers that this rule was instigated in the first place.
No offence, but I think we seemed to have missed the point of this post, and that was to try and help this guy out with his bluetooth problem. Now since you have your 10 posts is it safe to assume that you have moved on to the taboonay post and asked your question there?
I think there should be more notice that you are limited for the first ten posts when you sign up. I'm quite observant, but also quick and to the point. I probably signed up in the least clicks possible and read only what I needed. Then I tried to post in the taboonay thread as well and got shut down by the forum.
Not saying it doesn't say it; but as I don't usually miss things, you might want to make that more clear.
I would *love* it if someone helped me with my Bluetooth problem. I posted here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1302082
and in the Taboonay thread but so far have had no bites... Guess I'm the only one with the problem or something.
Personally, I'd rather post in a forum or sub-forum rather than a thread that has hundreds of replies each having a different problem. It's kinda like having multiple conversations with one other person over chat. Anyway, vache asked us to post there so I did...
I also would love to figure out to keep the speakers muted when the headphones are plugged-in but it seems that I'm the only one having that problem too-- although maybe I'm not using the right searchwords...

This is probably little comfort, but if you're experiencing such issues with Taboonay, perhaps you should go back to stock? I'm running stock, I'm very happily running stock, although I am using Richard Trips kernel just so that I can overclock. Everything works fine on my tab...
The reason they did not respond to your question in the tqbooney thread is due to the fact this is actually answered several times in there and on other threads.go to.

What have you tried so far to resolve those issues? Personally i would do the necessary wipes of the usual things, then reinstall the rom and see if that fix the issues...To me almost all Rom seem moody, you can do every thing right and end up with alot of problems. Do the same thing again and they work without a prob...
I am running stock 3.2 only modified for Root with Thor Kernel. The min i pair my BT headphone or plug in head set, the sound on tablet speaker get muted. Also if you still having prob with the Rom after you have tried all possible solutions. I will advice you to try the stock 3.2. Its really fast and Zero problems so for.

SERIOUSLY?!? Is that the best you can do? How patronizing is that?!?! Tell me to search the forums and say that there are solutions to my problem but not actually help me by providing links etc.??? I know how to search forums and have been doing so for well over a decade. Why do you think my post count is so low!?!?!? I search forums!
Now, when I finally have a legitimate question that I can't find an answer to all I get from people is "search the forums".
You're right about a couple of things. Yes, there are questions about getting Bluetooth working in the Taboonay 2.2 thread but they are all fielded by *me* with no answers in sight! You're also right about the fact that there is probably an answer here in the forums-- but I can't find it so I'm asking for help!!!!
Seriously, telling me to search the forums and not providing any concrete help is more of a waste of time and space than actually re-posting a solution!
Sorry, if this sounds like I'm angry, but it's because I am. BTW, did you actually look at the Taboonay thread? You may have noticed about 50 people asking how to fix the market on the latest upgrade and multiple solutions re-posted. No one got after those people for re-posting the same question multiple times. Also, I didn't need to re-post a question about the market because it was there and I fixed it.
Now, it's my turn: if you're not going to be helpful don't post anything at all!!!

I tried doing a fix permissions in CWM and I tried re-installing TabletTalk. I haven't tried a full wipe yet but that's because I'm afraid to lose my stuff. I still need to figure-out a proper backing-up solution (which I haven't started to look into yet).
I'd prefer not to install a stock 3.2 if possible but I guess I could try that. I just want to make sure I stay rooted.

It is not a matter of helping it is a matter that there are threads already about this. There is no answer/fix for this. That is why you didnt find one. It is a known issue with the version of the S3

Cannot hear me?

Hello there,
I have searched most of the threads and cannot find an answer or solution to the issue.
During a phone call, the recipient cannot hear me at times. They often ask me to repeat what I'm saying. I've tested this by asking someone to use my phone to call me on another phone and I can see that the sound drops and I cannot hear what they're saying.
On speakerphone, however, the voice quality is completely fine.
I already have had the phone replaced but the new phone has the same issue. Is there anyway to have this issue resolved?
Thanks. :good:

So d802? How about rom and kernel? Why would not provide as much detail as possible in the first place?

Everything is stock. Nothing has been altered with.
And while I can only apologise, the reasoning behind my "apparent" lack of detail at the start was that most of the "details" were pretty apparent and evident. The type of device was obvious (my post was in the LG G2 thread, therefore hinting at an LG G2 device). Furthermore, this issue is pretty common with this phone from what I gather. All I was wondering was whether somebody had managed to find a solution to the issue.

Problem is, a lot of people mistakenly post wherever the **** they decide to post, and following by your signature showing a note 3 I definitely wouldn't be surprised if you had missed the forum by a long shot.
I have no solution for your problem however. I experienced the very similar symptoms using dori's kernel but it allows the adjustment of the headset microphone sensitivity, so that fixed it for me.

New LineageOS released yesterday, any news on the speakers being fixed here?

Hey all, first time signing up and stuff but been reading a lot of posts recently as I'm interested in rooting my phone for the first time.
Basically as the title suggests, has the new LineageOS that was released yesterday done anything for the speakers? I had heard they had fixed the fingerprint scanner issue, is this also the case?
Thanks in advance for any help regarding this matter!
- TriixstaR
No. Speakers have not been fixed. No there is no problem with finger print problem.
In the future use the actual thread for LOS for questions.
Stop double posting plz

Wow, if only there was an XDA AXON 7 Lineage ROM thread where people who use the ROM and even the dev hang out and could answer such questions. Such a thread might even have a link to a change log.
That would be a great thread to have and any questions about the Axon 7 Lineage ROM could be posted there.
