I really need your help guys!

Hi there! Bought myself an desire HD and are really pleased!!
BUT one thing, EVERY time I read a message the message is STILL unread at the status bar!! I have to manually drag the status bar down and press remove, anyone know how to fix this? PLEEASE

THAT is what all the fuss is about???

you KNOW how annoying it is? I want to throw the PHONE

Are you reading it from the widget or actually opening the message application? Because it wont remove the notification if you're only viewing it from the widget.

I use the default shortcut to the message application(right now I am using EX launcher) but it's the same with default HTC sense.
I've found other people experiencing the same problem, but no resolution !

I have no idea then may seem a tad extreme but you could try a factory reset I suppose.

Tried that too from the memory card ROM full restore

Then I'm gonna stick with no idea :/ Sorry I wasn't much help!

its a common bug if you on the 1.72 base rom/ or using the new 1.72 radio thats got that bug if you use CM7 you will never get that problem

IMO stock message notifications are buggy..install Handcent SMS and your life will be much easier (remember to disable native notifications though)

What is CM7 ??

[Q] Edit Mini Apps tray on 6810?

I apologize if this has been discussed, I really did search and only found one place where this was asked, but there was no answer. According to the Samsung 7.7 features page it says this "Mini Apps : Upgraded so you can choose and edit your own Mini Apps tray. You can easily access favorite features such as Calendar, Email, or PenMemo as a pop up over full screen applications. " So obviously my question is this. How is this done? Or is it even possible on my model? Thank you and again sorry of this has already been addressed.

If you look at the bottom bar on your Tab you will see an icon that looks like an upside down 'v'. Click on it and it will bring up your mini-apps tray. You can launch those mini apps over the app you are in.

I think you misunderstood my question. I know about the up/ down arrow and the mini apps. But it says that is is Upgraded so you can choose and edit your own Mini Apps tray. So Im trying to figure out how to change them if its possible on the wifi only 6810. Thanks

I was able to get it to work by applying one of the systemui.apk files from here. I am able to edit the mini apps now on my 6810. Thanks

Wow... I cant find it, can you point it out please? They all talk about changing the colors of the icons of the actual bar or.... etc... etc.

Im not totally sure which one I used, but it might have been the one in post 19. But that one will change the icons as well. Im not sure where you might get one that is stock. The same author of that thread "Ssaass" makes an app called "Wizzbar" that might help you. I may be able to make one for you. Upload your systemui.apk and Ill see what I can do.

That would be great, I'm sending you my stock SustemUI.apk, now... how I'm going to change the apps from the mini-app thing? press and hold? ..??
I checked out that Wizzbar but didn't like it...

Ok, didnt think I forgot about you did you? I think this is what your looking for. The edit function shows up when you press the mini apps button. Lower right corner, cant miss it. This is all stock icons with edit function built in. Hope this is what you wanted. I tested this on my rooted stock 6810. Let me know if it works.
PS: For anyone that might want to know how I did it. All I did was use the "layout" folder in the Res folder from the apk that has the edit function. Then rezipped, changed name and permissions, and put back into system/ app.

Yes, it works, thanks... But what I didn't expect is that you can't add any app you want, it's just limited to some samsung "mini" apps which really su**s!
I wonder if there's a way around that...

Yea. Thats why I dont even use it. I use "honeybar" and hide the bar in games, movies, etc.

Magazine ux problem

Hi, Can't seem to find an answer on this, when I go to setting in magazine ux, say as an example on the news widget, I click the three dots to customize the widget, it just spins and spins, no options to select which news I would like to add. Anyone else have this problem? It happens with all widgets, news, sports etc.

I haven't experienced that issue. Mine works fine. As crazy at it seems, have you tried "Restarting" your tablet? It's worth a try.

Yup, multiple times. I can scroll threw the news stories straight from the widget, but soon as I click the three dots, a white side window opens, but nothing populates, it just spins. I tried it on a second device at work and it was the same thing.

it might be good to keep a record of who is having the issue and if they rooted or not. Might be a connection. I am rooted with this issue..

well there goes that theory.
I remember that it was working for me- (hitting the 3 dots and having choices) when i first got it, but did not try it again until you posted this which was after i rooted and now it does not work for me..

Works for me

Same problem here. New out of the box, no root. I've tried factory reset, deleting all widgets and re-adding them, restarting flipboard, etc. This drives me nuts!

Ok so the changing language thing works and the options now display; in spanish, or whatever language I select other than english! It works in ever language but english! Why is this and any ideas? thanks

it seems that we're going to have to wait for a fix from samsung, hopefully they are aware of the issue

I've been talking to Flipboard support to see if there is anything they can do. I'll post if I find anything new. So far they have just told me to reset everything, etc.

Frustrating!

I also have the same problem straight out of the box. So I sent it back and this is the third device I have received with the same problem. I contacted Samsung and they said there is nothing they could do need to send it back for repair and it would take two weeks. I'm thinking it's a software issue maybe with flipboard app, I got a flipboard error at some point. Hope to see fixed with patch or update. Don't want to send a brand new tablet back for repair with a two week turnaround.
Also on another note when I called Samsung for an issue with the back just below the camera there was a hump they told me that the tablet I had purchase from Best Buy was not a valid SN and that the tablet had no warranty. After that I mad it a point to verify my SN with Samsung to make sure I was covered by the 1 year warranty.
Also change language to Spanish and it works but not in English

Instagram and facebook notification problems

I can't make changes in push notifications menu in instagram, also push notifications won't appear for facebook and instagram. And can't update instagram, it's old one. Someone helps

Omfg I hate when people say „cant update”. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CANT?! WHATS THE ERROR MESSAGE? HOW DID YOU TRY TO UPDATE? WHERE? There are million of things why it doesn't work and with no information we can't say what to do...

Chill bro, people come here for help. Try to give them that instead of freaking out like that.

I don't know how it is in english, but in battery manager there should be something like secured apps where you can prevent apps from closing after screen is off.

Well, it works. But I disable battery led in the app, but it doesn't stop it. Everything else works. I use the same app version as I used on my old Note8 which ran without problems.

I switched from Lightflow to your program a while back and although it works well, it seems to be missing some features such as alternating lights when two or more alerts come in.

It should alternate for more than one notification at the same time, disable battery optimisation, otherwise alarms wont be triggered.

Doesn't seem to do that for me and yes, battery optimization is disabled otherwise I wouldn't get the first notification.

Please add a debug file after you got the problem (2 notifications at the same time) again. (Enable debug under extras)
