TWRP should be here, if it doesn't work then we have a problem... - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answer

Try flashing this, if it errors then we have a slight problem...
If it fails, nothing will happen and knox will not be tripped.

I'll be watching. I have no backup phone or spare time or else I'd try it but cheers! ?

Reactivation lock is blocking a flash is what it sounds like. Remember this from some devices back dudes were having to resign in to their samsung account and turn it off, but I don't see it in the setting or find my device anymore or not worded as it used to be anyways

Oem unlock is not the same as reactivation lock, developer options of course is enabled, reactivation lock is protection of a device remotely via a laptop or computer or another device in case a device is stolen you can track it and find it. The settings used to be spelled out clearly under lockscreen/security/find my mobile and reactivation lock for many people would block the flash in Odin and on device kicking up this same exact error reported above until they retype their samsung password and turning reactivation lock off.

@ethanscooter Unless you are actually developing something, you shouldn't be posting in the development section, especially providing links without giving proper credit to the actual developer. I believe you got that recovery from here:

Nevermind we all know what happened now, someone close this.

Long press home button not bringing up recent apps

Long pressing the home button does not bring up the recent apps anymore, now it shows device options, same as if I long pressed the power button.
This happened after I installed autotouch and repitmacro. I uninstalled them but its still not bringing up the recent apps.
How to fix this?

IGNORE THIS IF ROOTED GO TO MY LAST POST
The last solution would be reflashing your Rom. I try maybe getting a launcher(themer, nova, smart launcher) from the play store, setting it as default then going back to stock if it doesn't work form there. Another thing would be a button mapper app e.g change the default action for button presses and holds.(sorry I dont know of any).

Leaked Cert Files for Root?

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up here.
I spent a few hours of downtime online searching for progress updates and found this Qualcomm.zip file.
Inside, was a qpsa.zip file. Within that are a couple of security certificates. Just for the heck of it I installed them.

How did you install them?
Probably just Qualcomm self-signed certificate.
Still need private key to decrypt it to make it useful
Sent from my SM-G935T using XDA-Developers mobile app
Were those just public keys? Looks like the root cert in a certificate chain, these are usually public keys used to authenticate that data or code is signed by a specific vendor.
For example you would install the root cert on a machine when you are self signing application code, and you want that machine to be able to validate that the application was signed with your keys, and mark applications signed with your keys as trusted on that machine.

Hmm, I see that the private keys appear to be sitting there in your filesystem. Can you generate a code signing certificate against that CA? Should be able to do it with the OpenSSL suite.
I don't have any ideas to what these are but they don't seem widely known. I'm hoping that someone clever might be able to make something of it.
I am not sure about it but how does gaining private key of Qualcomm get you root access to android os

No idea. Like I had said, I don't even know what any of this is. Do you? What are these files used for? Who (general public) would have a need for these files and why? Where would you acquire these for such a purpose?

Considering rooting my S7, will I lose hotspot via apn mod?

So, I am getting ready to root my 930P. I am a bit nervous because the phone is running great right now for me!! but I really want Titanium Backup, Greenify, + a couple other apps. My main concern was wifi hotspot but I already have that without root.
Right now I am able to use native hotspot with the APN mod. Will I lose this if I root the phone?
Thanks in advance!!

I fully upgraded my phone to PF2 and it is completely editable.
Love Greenify, Titanium Backup and Xposed!
Holy crap, so we got root?

So, I am getting ready to root my 930P. I am a bit nervous because the phone is running great right now for me!! but I really want Titanium Backup, Greenify, + a couple other apps. My main concern was wifi hotspot but I already have that without root.
Right now I am able to use native hotspot with the APN mod. Will I lose this if I root the phone?
Thanks in advance!!

Hah, I had kinda given up on it. I bought this phone without knowing about the locked bootloader, at the same time my iPhone pulled a fast one and updated itself right after the last jailbreak, so Ive just been pacing around, walking into walls for months. Do you have a link?
I guess I might as well, seeing as how NONE of my credit/debit cards are compatible with samsung pay yet. I'm so pissed I missed out on those gift card promos...
