lol not sure if you're serious, but i wasn't. i'm sure your phone is fine.

I also came across this video similar to the one you found.
If the codes and everything else shows up and the test work. It's real

If it's on the Internet it must be real...right? LOL.
A quick Google search will show a few legitimate sources for the dialer codes. Make sure you do your homework before you believe what you see. Oh, and be careful, some of the dialer codes will reset your phone if you use them.

The dialer codes are disabled on Verizon phones. Makes me mad. I tried to get them to work and didn't know what I was doing wrong till I read Verizon has them disabled.

Isn't it worth creating a list of them here, on safe soil...? Anyone got any as a kick off?

Doesn`t work for me anyway, just keeps saying my IMEI number is wrong when it certainly is not as I type it just how my phone shows it.
How long till we receive the codes by e-mail? I submitted my questionaire two hours ago, apparently it accepted my data, but until now I didn't receive any e-mail.
Telling me my imei is wrong. Dunno why.

Weird. That promotion has been running for some time. I used my SIM unlocked phone's IMEI code just fine.
Works great !
Thanks for the heads up !
Can anyone tell me why my IMEI isn't working? I've emailed for support but heard nothing...
Big Thanks, haven't tried yet but will report back.
Much appreciated.
Edit: Getting "Your IMEI code is not correct, please check the code you have typed"
Edit: So I guess this is the problem: "When you buy a Sony Ericsson XPERIA PLAY mobile phone, between 27/05/2011 and 31/07/2011".
Bought mine on 16/05/2011.
Ah, gutted, I love something for nothing.

Weird. I tried emailing them with the email they gave at the end, and it just bounces back, lol.
It doesnt work for me either. :S
Damn it, i want free games XD.
I emailed them and never got a reply, what email did you guys that got a response use?
I'm in Canada so I don't get them.
Just curious what games they are offering?
Getting the same wrong imei number error as some of you guys. Mind you, I bought it the day after release in April, and I'm on T-Mobile rather than O2. most disturbing.

i guess i did because its working but the man took out my sim card and the phone is off... im going to catch him when he will connect to the wifi.
maybe tomorrow... never lose hope!
maybe other options?
Human always smarter than machine. Samsung got a disadvantage which is included built in recovery. He can just simply boot in and factory reset everything. Or just remove all accounts that in your s4. Let's pray for the stealer is stupid.

You will be lucky if the thief has not factory reset the phone. Especially if you set pin to unlock, he will surely factory reset the phone.

Yes I this there is a notification telling that device "is found" ... but you can't prevent anybody from flashing a new firmware.
On your box there should be an IMEI number (or on your receipt) and IMEI is a bit more difficult to change so maybe you have a chance to trace it in some other way.

You can set sim change alerts in the standard s4 settings aswell. I only found out the other day and it can be set to text a friend or family member.
Hope you manage yo yrack and get the phone back, too many low lifes in the world needing to steal someone elses hard earned money/phone etc. Is there no way of having the imei blacklisted? Keep that as a last resort if it can be done, as far as I know soon as its blacklisted you wont be able to track it at all

You can have the imei blacklisted so the phone will essentially be useless. You arent getting it back anyway. Might as wll keep the thief from having it.

first of all, he stole it from my bag.
second of all, if he flashes a new firmware or disconnect from my samsung account ( or even a factory reset )
can i know it? or it will just stay offline for ever?

If he just reset (factory reset), wipe data or flash a new firmware, IMEI may survive.
So IMEI tracking is your last chance.
I don't know this company http://www.trackimei.com/ but maybe worth a try?
Some other info HERE ... and HERE
BTW I could imagine that he sell it to some innocent person ... knowing it's a bit to hot to keep for him self

I wouldn't end that statement with "sorry". If he just bought it like that, he's not going to be the least bit disappointed with having to reset it in order to make it work. Just being able to make it work is all he's after. I'm sure he's ecstatic to know that he can

Well, I figured he was looking for the easy way but that's not what he's going to get short of knowing the person's email and password so the only way is to Odin the stock roms so your right sorry shouldn't have ended my statement however it did because it's not what he wanted to hear I'm sure.

I may be a bit biased because I've rootedand customized phones since the D1, when it was MUCH harder than it it currently. But I have always found ODIN very easy to use. In reality, I'm sure the OP could look up a video on youtube on how to use ODIN and get his phone working in like 20 min (minus download/setup times for ODIN, ROM, etc.). And I'm sure he saved a bundle buying it like that. He just needs to pray it's not IMEI locked on top of it, or all that effort will have been wasted

+1 on that eBay will back you up on this, as will PayPal, and also your credit card company. Once seller learns your intention to return/report he'll either get his s**t together and remember the user name and password for you or take the phone back.

Okay, thanks but I just noticed it and she has had the phone since release and we got it from verizon... so we are screwed I just wanted to see if I could fix it some how.
@PhillyD77 Im sorry to hear that, did you get insurance on it. If so I would wait to use insurance until the phones not usable. you may be able to see if the play store has and app to try and fix bad pixels, some people say things like that sometimes work on pcs, but I have always doubted that they even work all. Let us know if you try anything and what the outcome is. Thanks
