RAW Photo mode. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answer

The option for RAW photos is greyed out in the camera app settings. Anyone know how to enable it? I downloaded Snapseed, a Google app that allows you to see RAW photos and nothing.

Change the camera to pro mode.

Duh. Why didn't I think of that??? ??? thanks

Turbo Camera Raw Capture/Dump

Download this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=troop.com.freedcam&hl=en
then follow this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9JpyjNTcdw
thats swipe left > Picture Settings > Picture Fomart
the Turbo might show other formats not listed in above video, or it might just show jpeg only .
anyway try all the bayer formats till you find one that works.
if it says 4kb< no go.
also last switch in picture settings named capture should say raw not dng for the moment.
Good Luck!

Camera2 API, Manual, Raw DNG?

Any word if the 6P will have the Camera2 API and be able to shoot in Manual mode with RAW photos?
It does have camera 2 api and supports raw sensor capture in .dng format.
Download "freedcam" from playstore to try out.

Apps for taking RAW format photos?

On the one hand, it is great that the Zenfone 3 can take photos in RAW format (dng files). On the other hand, the only app that I have found so far that works with the Zenfone 3 and saves RAW format photos is Lightroom.
Has anyone found any other RAW format camera apps that work with the Zenfone 3?
OpenCamera and Camera FV-5 have both been great for me for RAW photo shooting.
Thanks sensi277.
Very few reviews list that as one of its features and none of the RAW camera app lists that I found list Open Camera.
I did not realize that Open Camera has RAW support even though I already had it on my phone.
Now I can uninstall Lightroom as it has very few features as a camera app.
Keep in mind that capturing RAW might expose one stop hot on the Zenfone 3. It's a bit strange, but it means you need to set your exposure compensation to about -1EV when capturing RAW or else things will be overexposed. It does this with every app I've tried, on and off.

S8 Camera Settings Issue?

For some reason I cannot unlock image stabilisation mode, it's greyed out and also I have no RAW mode settings either.
Been watching camera video on youtube and the guy has no issues at all.
Anyone else having issues?
My photos are saved to SD card.

Screen shot of your settings?
Turning some things on causes video stabilization to be auto off

I have sorted the RAW mode now, but not the stabilisation mode yet.

Again, screenshot your settings in camera to see what you have set
you probably have tracking AF on, not sure why would this affect video stabilization, especially that personally I would use tracking AF more during still pictures, to follow some fast moving object and would expect AF tracking automatically during video no matter what.
How you get RAW option ? I dont see it in camera setttings
Aahh sorry I found it....resolution screen

is there a way?

is there a way to disallow sound for the motion pictures in the stock camera app? alternatively anyone got a copy of the s8 camera app i can give a go? the wife hates the "video picture" lol thanks
well i extracted the s8 camera app but the s10 wont allow me to downgrade... any thoughts? main purpose is to have the motion picture option sans audio
