OPT Camera autofocus not working properly / blurry images - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am facing Camera Autofocus issue. its not working. not a single image is clear. all images are blurry. tried 3rd party camera apps. factory reset. wipe-cache. please give me some suggestions what should i do to solve this problem. front cam is working fine.
(note: phone is not rooted, tried Oxygen 2.2.1 and 2.2.0 but still no solution ...
help appreciated ...

I have the exact same problem. I"ve already sent it to one plus but they didn't fix it. Could you tell me whether or not you've fixed it?

I know i had blurry pictures.. but a lot of my sensors were broken. E.g. auto screen brightness, rotation, gyroscope etc..
Are yours working correctly? Download CPU-Z from the play store and look on the tab sensors. If there is no information, you're into the same situation as i was.
It is fixable though.. i'm working on a solution. But if a lot of people are experiencing this, Oneplus' help might be usefull.

I'm facing the same problem, have also sent the device back to oneplus, didn't change a thing. Anyone who has found a solution?

Galaxy S i9000 Camera Black-Out Issue - Help

Hey guys,
My dad has an i9000 Galaxy S and there seems to be a really weird issue with it. He was using the phone's camera and was capturing some pictures when suddenly the screen distorted and since then, the camera hasn't been working. All I can see is a black screen, the camera app opens up but I see nothing but black, buttons on stock ROM are un-touchable, whereas on ICS roms, we can fiddle with the buttons but they don't work. Even the front camera doesn't seem to be working. I have a HTC Sensation and am soon getting the Gnex so I have no idea about what happened with this phone.
Could you please help me out?
Thanks,
Arz
I'm having a similar problem. I've tried reflashing back to stock, wiping, resetting, etc, etc... but nothing seems to work.
Can't seem to find a solution here either. Anyone have any ideas? Might it simply be a hardware fault? Front camera seems to work fine (well as fine as that crappy camera can work)
The exact same thing happened to me.. Just try this:
take off the phone's back cover, and start the camera app.. Keep it on for a few minutes.. Does the area around the camera heat up?
It it does, accompanied by sudden battery drain perhaps, your phone's camera module is fried.. Has to be replaced.. I had to do the same..
I'm experimenting the same problem. did you guys resolve it?

I have the same problem. My camera just dont want to focus. Sometimes it starts working again after 30 times closing and opening the camera app. Wiping data, installing other roms; it all doesnt help. I installed an app: lgcamera, and with this I managed to sometimes make sharp pictures. When it works in this app, my standard app works too. But its only temporary.
Hardware is working probably because sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt....
Anyhelp?
I have this problem, too. I believe it is a hardware problem. I disassembled my MB526 to access the camera and found that I can temporarily solve the problem.
It seems like a moving part of a camera with front lens in it was stuck in one position. I slightly moved it by a screwdriver, turned the phone on again and found autofocus working. Sometimes I hear high-frequency sound while camera app initializes a camera.
Before that camera didn't work for more than 3 months. It works from time to time now, so I hope to solve the problem by mounting a new camera module. Tha question is, where can I buy it? What is the part number of this piece?

G2 camera doesnt focus

I'm currently on stock zvc rooted with twrp from autorec. I have been using Jishnu's 4k cam mod for a while now and its worked perfectly fine but all of a sudden my camera lost the ability to focus. It did this a couple days ago and I tried restoring camera from Jishnu's camupdate apk and then reinstalling and also installed xdabbeb's 4k cam and it wasn't working but after 15 mins or so I went back to the camera and it was working again. This time though I tried to do what I did before but it doesnt have any effect on it. I no longer have the stock camera files does anyone have them so I can try that out? A flashable zip would be even better if possible. Other then that does anyone have any idea what I could do besides tot'ing back which I'd rather avoid if possible?
Did you try another camera app to make sure it's not a hardware issue?
If I helped you, please thank me
got a stock non rooted d803 and camera just wont focus as well
takes nice close up pics but anything further than 2 inches and its out (even manual focusing doesnt work)
tried other camera apps and no joy, went as far as factory reset and nothing
LG and phone company tech advised bringing it in for replacement

Sorry for the late reply didn't notice I got two replies but I had tried google camera and another random camera before
and they both wouldn't focus at all. However my camera is working now I went and tot'd to stock 4.4.2 but the camera
wasn't working immediately after doing that it still wasn't working so I was afraid maybe the hardware was broken. But
after installing the 4k camera mod and doing some messing around with the camera and then leaving the phone alone
for a while with the camera app running in the background it works again. Its very weird I don't really understand it what
threw me off as well was after running titanium backup to restore apps/data the camera was still working so I started
setting stuff up. I noticed the xposed installer was not up to date so I went and updated it and then rebooted the phone.
After that I checked the camera and it wasn't focusing again at all. I figured xposed might be the culprit so I went and
uninstalled it then rebooted but it didn't have any effect the cam still wouldn't focus. So I reinstalled and enabled it and
did the installing 4k mod messing with camera and leaving it alone routine and after a while the camera is working
again. Very suspicious I'm at a loss but I went and did a nandroid backup while the camera was working so if anything
I can restore that and hopefully fix it.

Sorry for the late reply but my camera still isn't working properly. Whenever I open a camera app its all blurry and it won't
focus what I have to do everytime I need to take a picture of something is shake the phone around in different angles and
sometimes hit it near the camera region lol. I find that after giving it a good shake/hit it'll start focusing again. I don't know if
that means theres a problem with the OIS interfering in some way since the lens can move around and stuff so maybe shaking
it makes it focus correctly but its annoying.
I would go bring the phone in for repair/replacement if you're covered. I would do it myself but I plan on getting the G3 soon
anyway so don't really need to fix this one. Hope it works out for you though.

What’s the main issue causing camera not working?

Everything works fine on this phone until few days ago. When I open the camera, the app responses which means it still response to mode changing and focusing but the viewer black out. I usually use the stock camera but I did test on other applications that uses camera, it just not working and pop a message to tell me reboot. The camera can work after reboot, but never know when will it fail again.
Hope someone knowing the main issue causing the camera not working.
I'm having the same issue, but it's only the rear camera. After I restart the phone it functions without any error. But after some time same issue occurs. Does anyone knows a solution.

OnePlus stock camera

Hi Everyone, hope you all are doing well. Im dealing with this very frustrating issue where my camera wont focus, or it takes forever to focus. Even on the snapchat app as it shows on the video. I thought it was some app related issue, so i fully reset the phone thinking that would fix it. But it didnt help. Any tips or suggestions please, anything would be appreciated.
