I have ordered Redmi 2 Prime for gifting it to my mother,i wanted to ask about flashing of custom romson this device.1.At first in order to flash any custom rom do i have to update it to miui 7 first?2.Which is most stable aosp or cmrom on forum? and what are bugs assosiated with it?There are lot of fix camera etc. threads on this forum what do i have to flash afterflashing rom?3.And can i restore stock directly through twrp backup ?or i have to flash stock using fastboot method.

Sorry if I could'nt answer before, because you were redirected to Q&A thread. This is an automatic redirecting.
You just have to make a backup before flash ( so you can return wihtout problems) and then flash Data, Cache and Dalvik Cache, through CWM or Philz recovery ( this is better). Don't worry about you 're in a lollipop rom actually, because you can change back to Kit Kat without making nothing more.

Not recommended at all.
Different framework and many different customizations in wonitor's .
Best is to do it with all wipes . except SD card.

I would like to ask you and Atrankas to put changelog of the version every time you add a new version for download on page 1. In the MIUI site the changelog is in chinese and translation doesn't work properly. In the system update I can also see the changelog but also in chinese, so i dont know what are the changes. My rom is 5.7.24.

First make sure your phone is rooted and you have latest twrp custom recovery
Also make sure you are on a marshmallow based ROM. RR 5.8.0 has Nougat. Then just google "How to flash a ROM".
Download gapps package from opengapps.org
Choose ARM -> 7.1 -> (whichever package you want)

I dont think miui 8 is ported in your device but you can make it look like it by finding icons on Google Play.

I'm kinda new to XDA and whole Android development stuff.
So I've a question concerning Treblizer for Note 4, is it available/possible to do? Because I've made some research and all I found was a Treblizer for Note 5; not to mention that I've already tried two Flashable Zips and ended up with the same result ( Error 2 Updater process ).
My device already meets the requirements (Latest TWRP/Unlocked bootloader/Available space/clean flash following instructions ) except that I'm running on a 6.0.1 stock rom. Am I missing something here? If so, please help me out with this issue ^^

Can anyone please provide me any links or tutorial to flash twrp safely and root the phone. And please suggest me a good stable daily driver for my redmi note 7s.

I learned I couldn't use TWRP on MIUI 12. Got an error every time I tried to install. Instead I installed Orangefox recovery. Never regretted that. Orangefox is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/official-recovery-orangefox-recovery-project-r11-0.3941822/ The thread itself is a good help to install as is Orangefox own site.
