Need help, Can anybody tell me which model of Sprint Sim does 306sh use? - Sharp Aquos Crystal

Hi guys, I just bought used sprint 306sh and trying to use it with Ringplus, but the phone came without sim card. As I know Sprint has hundreds different sim cards for different phones, just try to buy the correct one and avoid losing money, can anybody tell me that which model of sim card is using on your 306sh?
Thanks a lot.

been on Sprint and Tello with this sim
Hey, i've had the Aquos on Sprint and now Tello with
the same sim card, a GLW406R, but it seems the price
any MVNO offers on its sims to work with their service
may be lower than you can buy it for ....?
I went thru activation, this sim worked on both, no problems.
(USA)

Have official sprint sim
Uses a "nano" sized sim if thats what you mean. I still have the actual card so if you need a serial number or something let me know.

Foreign Sim Cards

Hi,
I was just wondering what type of message to expect when you put in a foreign (Canadian provider: Rogers\Chatr, and Wind\Mobilicity) SIM card into the phone be it unlocked or not. I ordered a phone and it would not even detect the SIM card, it just said no SIM Card Emergency Calls Only. So I sent it back for a refund which is still pending approval, but the seller still claims that the phone works with US carrier SIM cards (T-Mobile, AT&T).
What do you guys think?
i have a wind mobile sim based android phone with a qualcom chipset and sim booted right into it. Pre and post rooted the phone worked just fine. Stupid question but was the sim inserted properly and was it seated correctly and titly so that it was connecting. I've never had an issue with foreign phones. I'm stateside

Yea, I even tried putting paper in there to make a tighter connection. I can't understand how the phone wouldn't recognize any of my SIMs that work perfectly in other phones, but works just fine with the US SIMs that the seller has. I think the seller is trying to scam me out of the return shipping.
Does anyone have the solution to this problem? I don't understand how the phone could work fine with US SIM cards, but not work at all with Canadian SIM cards (i.e. not even recognize that a SIM card is in the phone).

I take it you are near the U.S. border, where about? If you're near me, we can meet up and see if it is consistent in all the myTouch 4Gs. Mine is rooted, unlocked, good screen and good eMMC. Should be the best scenario to double check.

No need to. I've seen people call in after coming from another country and have used foreign SIM cards in the phone.

This makes sense that foreign SIM cards would work, if the phone communicates through a standard GSM frequency it should work for all of them. When I had the phone I rooted it with s-OFF and I'm assuming that would unlock it even for foreign SIM cards. Anyone experienced with phones being locked to a particular country?
I want to buy another MT4G but I also want to make sure it will work in Canada first.
rooting your phone does not unlock your sim. call tmobile and tell them you would like to unlock your phone because you travel out of the US often.
I did that and after it was unlocked I was able to use my phone in Ireland with a pay as you go O2 sim card

Sorry, I forgot to add that the seller claimed to have unlocked the phone with a code. I'm just wondering if the phone could still have been locked to US providers, and if so, why would the phone still not recognize any Canadian SIMs?

Im not sure. My phone has been unlocked for awhile but I believe that if your phone is not unlocked when you put a foreign sim card in and turn it on it will ask you for the unlock code.
When you turned your phone on with your Canadian sim card in it did it tell you that your phone did not have a sim card in it, or were you just unable to get service?

Prepaid SIM cards Question

I have a couple unlocked rooted phones that I have tried to put prepaid SIM cards in. A Net10 SIM and a tracphone SIM into and neither work for some reason. I have an HTC Magic (T-Mobile MyTouch 3G) and a LG P999 (T-Mobile G2X) both with CyanogenMod 7. Both SIM unlocked by requesting unlock codes from T-Mobile. Both phones boot with both SIM cards, but have no service. If you put the sim into the corresponding tracphone or net10 phone they came with though, they have service. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I have a few friends with prepaid phones and have extra unlocked rooted phones I can give them if I can get them to work with the prepaid SIM's. Thanks. Dave
Tracfone is weird. I have never heard of anyone using a tracfone sim in another phone. I've tried.
bump
Anyone have any experience with net10? I would really appreciate any intel that would help me get either the tracphone or net10 sim working my magic. Thanks Dave

AT&T specific question

I have been with sprint for a long time and never had to mess with sim cards. I am now with att and I have a question about sim cards and activations. I have an android phone right now with att that I am going to replace with the note 2. Can I just pull the sim card from the current phone and put it in the new one? Or do I have to take it into the att store? Also does this cause an activation fee?
Moved to Networking section.
You can just switch the SIM. If it's an already activated SIM (meaning it had service in the prior phone) there should not be an activation fee.

Thanks for the info. That is what I was thinking but I wasn't sure.
Yes, one of the great things about gsm/sim cards. Easy swappable. If your current phone uses standard mini sim, you will need to cut it down to work in the note2/other newer phones that use micro sim cards.
Currently using the original note. So I don't know what kind of sim it has.

You Will need to go to the store. Note 1 has A regular sized sim and the Note 2 takes a Micro Sim you will need a smaller sim but sims are free.

Your can use a SIM cutter. No need to go-to a store. Just be careful and follow the instructions. I've used it twice on various phones.

Just insert that to any unlocked phone you want,
Our policy at at&t is if its a gsm it's possible,
No fees for device transfer since we have a SIM number as a basis of the account not the IMEI or ESN
this post is approved by the national potato safety regulation
I have changed phones before and just changed the sim from one phone to the next. I also went to att when another phone took am smaller sim and the att rep got a smaller sim and updated it and handed it to me and said have a nice day. I love att's customer service.

Question about SIM card

Hello! My phone is dying and I decided to buy new one. Actually it is used SPRINT phone and seller said there is no SIM Card. But ESN is clean.
My question is: can I activate that phone in Sprint network. And what about SIM card? Can I use SIM card from my old phone?
Thank you!
Well sprint is cdma.so it will go off msid and mdn.you dont need a sim phone for cdma.so at that point leave it with the phone.
Sent from my 0x1 Note 4...... I love tep
A Sprint SIM will be required for Sprint 4G LTE. Pick one up at a Sprint store. If you are registering with a Sprint MVNO, Try Best Buy or Ting.com or eBay for the SIM. Not all Sprint SIMs the same. Make sure you get the right model SIM for the Note 4.

What do you mean verizon unlocked? Is it a verizon phone your trying to use on other carriers or a other carrier phone your trying to use on verizon?
