My HTC Incredible is on its way, Im upgrading from my Samsung i910... WinMo has always been my thing, but Android seems so much nicer, going to be a learning curve, but any advice or ideas will be welcomed

I think different dates are scheduled for different areas of the country.
I live in North Carolina and Verizon expects our shipment for online orders by the 29th of May.

It's a canned response. I called Verizon about it - I ordered my phone on the 9th and it never came. lol
If you were to order it today you should see it shipped out by 6/4 according to the detailed specs of the phone. 6/1 if you just look at the Verizon line-up of phones.
It's all confusing. Verizon really should do a better job when launching a new phone!

Customer service told me it was no issue to overnight me one so I went ahead and sold mine. When I called asking where my phone was they apologized and said they meant to say it was backordered. I learned this the looooooong and hard way. I've spent literally hours on the phone with them and was supposed to receive 3 seperate calls from supervisors bc of how many times they screwed up yet they only called back once. They also told me it was $269 w/ a 1 yr contract, then processed the order and then texted me saying it was $369 w/ a Mail in Rebate. When I called back saying that's not what I was originally told- they told me in a condescending voice 'I can cancel the order if you would like and try to come to a resolve on your issue, but it will extend the wait time of shipping your phone'. What choice do I have but to suck it up bc I NEED this phone for work?? hahaha I just have to laugh at how much it sucks at this point

Man, I just ordered mine yesterday online and it arrived today (free overnight shipping) ...Phew, that was close!
i had called up 3 different sprint stores and this is what i was told
store 1: sold out, will get new shipment either friday or tuesday
store 2: sold out, taking deposit to reserve one (45 people already on list)
store 3: had few in stock (Silver Spring, MD)

Here in Ohio no better, Went to best buy with my buddy, was quoted as Evo shippment tomorrow and now it's been moved to a nice lovely ambiguous "sometime from wednesday to friday" Here's hoping sooner rather than later but oh well. Here's hoping we can survive the great evo shortage of 2010! (*side note* kinda regretting not pre-ordering sooner, I was 8 people into the 2nd batch forcing me to wait an extra week. BAH!)
its good news, i just wished they had more accessories on launch day!
Decided to give in and pick one of these up yesterday. Couldnt find one in stock anywhere. This morning I was prepared to call every Radio Shack in the area. The 1st one I called said someone just took themselves off the list and that they had one available. I put my name on it, and picked it up 20 minutes later.
I have 2 friends that got theirs this same way. I did pre order one for my girlfriend though while I was there and she will be getting it on Friday.
I just got mine today and I had to call 8 or so sprint stores to find one in stock, ends up the store I got mine at had 10 in stock still from the first shipment and they had given a lot of their first order of 300 to other area stores. Once I got there it took them about 2 and a half hours to activate the flippin thing, my voice and 4g connected but my 3g never came up, took them forever to sort it out. They actually had to activate two evos to figure the problem out. I got 2 boxes and goodies out of the deal though, I am in the kc area too.
Which Sprint store was this? Im also in the KC area and have a few friends wondering if anyone has them in stock. Sounds like that store may be worth a shot.

i ordered mine online last night at 11pm central time and it was available waiting for it to come now ughhhh!!!!! all i have been doing is making lists of apps and what i want to try (been a windows mobile guy since the tilt days currently have a HTC Touch Pro 2 unlocked gotta sell that once my EVO comes in cant wait

I scooped mine up from the studio Sprint store, downtown in the power and light district, like 14th and grand, also I got a call from the Sprint store that I was on a waiting list at and they had one for me, i was number 15 I believe.

I was going to order it online last night and then dumb me second guessed myself and decided to see if i could get lucky in a store today. Now I realize that was a very stupid idea.
how are some of you getting overnight delivery; i placed my order around 12pm PST yesterday and i still haven't received a delivery notification or any updates; it still says waiting in the warehouse for processing; this is annoying me since it's supposed to be overnight delivery

Me too. I talked to five CSRs yesterday, three of them told me it's back ordered, one of them said it would ship yesterday, another one said it would ship today. Worst company I've ever seen.
Ya I am too. I've called multiple times and they keep saying that it "should" go out today and it never does. The shipping date keeps getting pushed back one day at a time.

I ordered a 64 GB developer edition on Saturday 4/20 at around 11 am and it has been in picking since. I selected 2 day shipping and the original expected delivery was today 4/24. Yesterday that was bumped to 4/25. Today it says 4/26.
I've gotten more patient over the years, and my current phone is serviceable so I'm just going to sit tight for now. The worst case seems to be 'end of April' which isn't too far away.
I preordered with them, it shipped on Friday and I got it on Saturday. That said, it did sit in "picking" for a couple days before it shipped, and the order also disappeared from their online tracker right beforehand.
Yep, still waiting. I just hope to get it before my trip this Fri

Waiting patiently... meanwhile, this post has me a little concerned. I plan to use the phone with prepaid plans on TMobile and AT&T for now... with other compatible international providers as needed. I use data a lot more than voice and so, value a good/fast data connection. Am concerned that the "generic" radio may be a hindrance. That said, if it is firmware related and not hardware, it should be fixable by flashing the appropriate firmware, ROM or radio. Waiting for the knowledgeable peeps to chime in.

Mine too. Ordered on the 12th, couldn't get an order status until yesterday, still in picking. Trying to decide whether to cancel or wait it out. My G2X is crap and I need something ASAP. It was either an HTC One or a GS4, and I wanted the One, but after this mess, it's probably gonna be whichever I can get first.
I ordered on the 12th but it has been "picking" for 5 days now I'm kind of disappointed that I (promised to!) shell out so much money and now I'm waiting considerably longer than carrier customers. I'm quite patient but I wish let's talk would be a bit more finite with their dates, there is no way they have been "picking" my phone for the better part of a week.
I will only be angry if I get the phone and it has hardware defects. I would imagine the RMA process with these guys would be terrible

So was mine, shipping today for 2 days...i called them and she said oh it's because we ran out of stock (thanks for that heads up). So I cancelled and went to AT&T, which i'm glad i did they gave me $150 off even though i wasn't due for any upgrade for a long time..
Ordered on 4/9 and it still shows picking status as well. This is definitely getting ridiculous.
I ordered two 64gb dev edition handsets on the 10th and I'm on back order. I called HTC and they said there next shipment is on the 29th.
I am having the same problem too, it remaied picking for almost a week and hopefully i could get this by the end of this April because i am gonna leave on May 2nd.
My status just changed from "picking" to "ready to be shipped". What does that mean?

Just a tip to those who live near the border. Amazon USA is selling the white 16gb for $549 plus a free $50 Amazon gift card. Its a pretty good deal and I was able to take advatange of it. Also, you get perks worth $600 upon registering the tablet. I dont think the Canadian model offers the same perks.

Same happened to me..they called me ro pick it up but when I'm paying it they can't do it....I was so pissed I emailed the cust support and they replied and asking for more info....when I got back to work I ordered online at BB...got confirmation email but no tracking number yet...its so stupid calling me to pick it up when its not ready yet..here's hoping BB will send it out in th e next couple of days...
**update...just got my tracking number...yes!

I ordered it this morning after coming back from futureshop empty handed ...I might get it monday...they are shipping through Canada Post...lol I'm at the plant right now working part time and I know i won't receive it tomorrow....

No demo in the store I went to...they have two boxes in the shelve but no signage...oh well at least BB shipping it earlier..

Lol...my BB order is arriving tuesday....I called FS today and told them BB street date is today...he checked it...put me on hold and then told me that they've changed it so I can pick up mine today...he remembered me and my tab is still on hold....now I got two coming my way will return one...
Lol that's pretty funny. Anyway I managed to go pick up my FS order today because the release date magically got pushed up to Nov 1st. Thanks Apple? What ****ty logistics on Samsung's part.

I just bought the last one in calgary today bro!!!
didn't realize it was released until last night at about midnight, woke up this morning and called everywhere. the best buy stores ALL had their stock mis-shipped, so NONE of them got it in. as for futureshop, the only one that had any left was the deerfoot meadows store, which thankfully is only about a ten minute drive from my house. called, got the guy to put it away for me, and tore down there as fast as i could, went in and bought it immediately (after having them run around looking for it because the sales guy didn't put it on hold properly, he just hid it inside the lockup where their normal stock is...so i could have even had it sold out from under me if i wasn't lucky).
i ended up buying the total protection plan coverage because it covers up to two free replacements if i break it, so i figure worst case, it breaks, great i just saved 300 bucks on the second tablet (since the plan cost me 300 instead of its usual 360) and then if i break it again, perhaps days before the end of the warranty and when they only have the next generation note available, then i guess i get it replaced with the new one
also the warranty is over the counter for breakage, they don't make you wait and wait and wait.... you simply bring it in, they see it's broken, and they go get you a new one. if it's just needing repair, like for the battery, which is covered for two years also, then you actually get a loaner note while yours is being fixed...pretty damn cool!!!!
anyways, i just installed the latest australia firmware onto it, since that is the newest of any available, and i just rooted it....starting to really enjoy it now. now i just hope someone comes out with at least a rom or two for it, or i might have to try my hand at making one, although i've never made one how hard can it be? lol...
Left my local bestbuy last night and a couple blueshirts there told me that they would be releasing the S7 and S7 Edge this Monday. I was pre-ordering and asked when it came out and they told me I could pick it up on monday.
So if you preordered from bestbuy i'd recommend calling them and seeing if they are also releasing it early.
I don't know how truthful BestBuy is. I got my pre-ordered T-Mobile S7 on the 3rd of March and was told by my local BestBuy store that they had the Otterbox cases in stock for the S7. So I drive over to the store and find out that they have the cases in stock but won't be releasing them until the 11th of March because that's when the phones will be released. I will NOT be going back to BestBuy again!

I bought a surround sound system from them a month ago. He told me i was gonna get a discount and hed hook me up with an hdmi and optical cable. Then he was tryin to talk me into joinin their "rewards program" it was like every $100 you get a dollar or something. I was like, "it'd take me so long, im good" but i bought a tv a couple months before so he said i could get credit for that aswell. So finally i said, "well, your not gonna send me a bunch of emails if i sign up are you". He said, " haha noooooo"!
Long story kinda shortened.
I paid full price for the SS system.
I got a wopping $5 off a used hdmi cable. Which was $20
Paid full price for optical audio cable $25
Then at the end i said oh can we add my tv to the rewards program. (Of course the salesman left so i was left with some kid to check me out)
He said, "oh man we'd have to call customer service and i dont think theyd do it anyway"

The following weeks im flooded with best buy emails, i unsubscribe at least 10 times with no stop to it. Finally have to call a 800 number and scream at them to make it stop.

pisses me off bc i chose shipping instead of in store (for the first time ever with best buy) bc i was worried they'd run out of stock before my preorder was fulfilled, so i wouldn't be able to walk in friday and get it. did shipping, thinking they'll def have enough in a warehouse.
yeah, and now they release early lol. so mad.

They had no idea what I was talking about, and reaffirmed the 11th as the release date. This was yesterday, today my GF got a call that our phones have arrived and that we can pick them up tomorrow.

My preorder confirmation said they would Email me when the items were ready. By chance, did they mention if the Gear VR was ready for pickup also?

Same thing happened to me. They had a Samsung rep there and I even showed him the phone, still wouldn't sell it. I went to U.S. Cellular, AT&T and even the new T-Mobile store in my town but neither had cases yet. Verizon store had the stuff out on display already so i bought my case and screen protector there.
I wondered who the *#&@ cares if I buy a piece of plastic for a phone that isn't "out yet"? I am giving you money, why do you care?! It was dumb as f.

Just got off the phone with my local BestBuy, they said that it should be no problem. She mentioned it would be FCFS based on available stock, dunno if this means you can get one shipped later, or if you are sol.
Well...that's kind of strange. The Best Buy website now shows the expected release date for the phone on my order as: "Null"?
The other 2 items still show expected release of 3-11-2016.
Edit: They just now changed the expected release date to 3-7-2016.

Yeah. I ordered two actually, got two seperate emails. I tried looking them up, but it says the name and phone number are wrong, didnt say anything about order number being wrong.
Edit: nevermind, it was under my old name. My att acct is kinda wonky haha.
