FONTS not compatible! - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

So I got by S7 Edge and wanted to install some Script fonts but every Font I installed keeps giving me an error saying it's not compatible. Are there any fonts out there yet that are compatible with marshmallow? I tried several with Play Store and the Samsung Apps store but no such luck. The fonts install but when you try to change it, that's when I get the error. Any ideas?

Daaaaamn that sucks. I am a big font fan. I hope ifont works for me.

Pretty much. Or maybe an update from these apps can get it to be compatible. Idk

Guess I'm not the only one. I'm a major Font fan and loving this phone but this is killing me!!!
Hopefully apps will update.

well this certainly is disappointing, hopefully this gets worked out somehow.

From my understanding flipfonts or any fonts from playstore won't work but fonts from Samsung app store works, I'm currently using one I downloaded from Samsung app store, not much selection in there though without pwying

the only way i've found to get access to tons of fonts is to install TEKHD's latest rom... that one has thousands of fonts built in and runs like a dream
here's a quick screenshot of the fonts installed with the rom, the list is massive... more than enough for anyone

Have to be rooted to install the custom rom obviously, but it's the only way i've found to get access to decent fonts again

I have the same issue with my Droid and T-Bolt, both on 3G and on WiFi.
Yea, I was wondering this too. Did you get these from somewhere else or are they made by you? Link would be great if you got it somewhere else. I'm just asking because this is how I learn how you guys do what you do best (cooking ROMs).

Yes that font is horrible. Here are steps I found to change the font, but I just went back to the original rom.

It did appear to be fast, but if you just left the original font it would have been almost perfect.
If you want to change the font, download font installer from the market.

What it is:
Here are some icons i put together from various sources, which i credit in the file. I plan to add more sooner or later(probably later).
How to install:
Extract files and pick what icons you want to use then put them in "/sdcard/SpeedSoftware/icons" then in the menu select custom.

Not really related to the icons, but when you save a file (e.g. build.prop), it doesn't always save it, does it happen to you too? Only seems to happen with Root Explorer.

Just search for Android 6.0 fonts flashable zip on Google and the first result would be the link to a thread hosting flashable font zips for Android 6.0 by a developer gianton.
Go to that thread and download the fonts you like.
Flash them through twrp.
You would never get any bootloop.
Also no need to clear cache and dalvik.

Where could I find the apk of trend font?(v1.03)
Looking for a solution too. I just want to install my own .TTF or find some normal fonts (like Arimo, Open Sans, and the rest that are available on Google Fonts). Trend Font asks me to uninstall Foundation app which is a system app (and I couldn't find it on google/galaxy apps/play store for installing it back if needed). Have anyone found a solution for it?

I'm having the same problem on my Note8. (I have a stock Android theme on mine, hence the nav bar looking like that)
View attachment 4275907
It seems that Samsung and/or Monotype have upped the font security a second time.
(they did it the first time with TouchWiz 7.0 (Android 6.x, Galaxy S7/Note7))
All the fonts I've seen in Galaxy Apps are paid fonts, which makes sense because Monotype is a company, and the font I want to use is Comic Neue, which is licensed under an open/free licence.
I am also making a warning post about fonts over in the Note8 section, and will link to this thread from there.
