[SM-G935FD] [Dual-SIM] Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Duos 64GB ? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hello, I'm interested in a Dual-SIM version.
It's available with 64 GB ?
Where to buy?

Looking for the same. Do no think it's been officially announced/released anywhere yet. Let me know if you find it

I dont find any shop to buy it

Will it be available in Europe?

SM-G935FD is designated as a release model for Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, etc)
You'd have better luck trying to find a place to buy it online, by searchin only the .id domain for now:
https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Indonesia+TLLD&gws_rd=cr&ei=OkPVVqqCEsLp6ATv1pTICA&tbs=qdr:20y#q="SM-G935FD"+site:id&hl=en&tbs=qdr:w
So far, no hits for sales.

Be carefull with ordering from asia as the clone s7 and s7 edge are out , if the price is too low then beware

I need it too!! Please advise

+1 here

I am from Indonesia and yeah I have been visited the Samsung Store here and I can confirm that Indonesia got SM-G935FD (Exynos) . Unfortunately, there is only 32GB storage here and no option of 64GB ROM and you have to sacrifice the micro SD slot if you want the dual SIM capability.. 3 colors option which are black, gold, and silver are available here and pre order still ongoing until March 13th and available on March 23th.

You can order on http://www.axiomtelecom.com/
But not 64gb. And this is hybrid dual sim. It's two sims or 1 sim And 1 micro sd

The GM935FD is a Southeast Asian model.
I also want to find the 64 GB version but the carriers in Southeast Asia seem to only be selling it in 32 GB. If anyone knows of a 64 GB hybrid SIM (dual SIM) model that supports FDD-LTE with bands 3, 7 and 8 all at once, please reply here.

Spotted on a web site in India: http://www.mobilephones.co.in/samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-64gb/
Specs indicates LTE bands 3 and 40 and dual sim

Do u guys know if any of the region's will have a dual sim with SD820? I would prefer that over Exnos. I remember reading that the SD was just a bit faster.

Here we go, specs from the Taiwan Samsung site for the Galaxy S7 Edge "Duos" - SM-G935FD. It actually seems to have allot of FDD-LTE frequencies covered.
SIM card: Dual SIM card * In the case of dual card dual standby, another door number other than the main gate number will automatically switch to 2G state.
3G frequency: B1 (2100), B2 (1900), B4 (AWS), B5 (850), B8 (900)
4G FDD LTE frequency: B1 (2100), B2 (1900), B3 (1800), B4 (AWS), B5 (850), B7 (2600), B8 (900), B12 (700), B13 (700), B17 (700), B18 (800), B19 (800), B20 (800), B25 (1900), B26 (800), B28 (700)
4G TDD LTE frequency: B38 (2600), B39 (1900), B40 (2300), B41 (2500)

Is this TRUE ??
looks like a Fake site
any Samsung Sites in any Region have it on there Site ?
I would like a 64gb version
Please

There is no 64GB for sure. It's Duos and you can either use a memory card or a 2nd Sim.
I live in Qatar and it's available for pre-order here from main operator (ooredoo.qa) website. Would be happy to help you get it if that's an option for you (assume payment would be a problem).

why Samsung is doing this? They could just release a dual sim model for all markets....

XDA has always been great when it comes to ROMS etc for Samsung. Dont you think there will be VERY limited rom and other developments for the G935FD as compared to the G935F?(Both unlocked and both sim free) Or would you be able to use 935F ROMS and tweaks with 935FD?
Im about to place the order so want to get views. Thanks

I have a Galaxy S5 Duos and number of roms was very limited compared to single sim S5 version.
But looks like interest for dual sim is on the rise so time will tell. I am interested in an S7 edge 64 gb dual sim. For the moment looks like it is going to be hard to find ...
The simcard/micro SD card hack (you glue your stripped simcard n°2 on the sd card to get both of them working) looks interesting too if it can be done on the S7 edge dual sim.

Galaxy Note II and Dual Sim

Hello,
Few weeks ago I saw on some website news and photos of a dual sim Galaxy Note 2. The market of the Dual sim is much more dynamic in Indian and china that's why the news said that this dual sim should be for china market and especially for China Unicom.
So would somebody have more consistent news about this dual sim : would it appear ? When ? Where ?
Best regards
Chinese market only
Hello, I already now but I did not see any confirmation if this news is fake or not.
Would it be SIM Unlocked in China, possibility to choose other language etc..
Hmm that would be interesting, especially if its the "international" one. I dont know what kind of cell service they use in china. Will it only work then in China or worldwide with standard GSM and 3G74G and so on?
I already a HTC Desire V bought in China (dual SIM) and it works perfectly in Europe in GSM and data. So from my point of view no difficulties in terms of compatibility.
And how can you determine if it's a real Samsung and no copy mb

Not sure to understand the meaning of your question :
First : the rumoiur and photos of the dual sim never been confirmed by Samsung
Second : if it is real and this dual SIM note 2 is released, don't worry I perfectly know where to buy an original one in China !

I'm from Indonesia and I want a dual SIM NOTE 2 !
But hopefully it's going to be CDMA and GSM network dual sim. Similar to HTC desire VC. But it would be good if the phone is capable to register to 3G of each network (EVDO and HSPA).
Sadly, there's not much news of it now. Maybe they scrapped the idea because it's just too power hungry.

Dual sim Galaxy Note 2 have two different types of version. One from China Unicom, it support for WCDMA/GSM. The other one from China Telecom, it support for CDMA/GSM.It's release date in mid-October.
So, does it mean that the wcdma/china Unicom is not compatible with European network, and the CDMA/china telecom is ok,for,European network ?
Other question : do you have a Link to these informations ?

Rumor have the following models in China
N7102 for China Unicom, WCDMA + GSM, Dual SIM
N7108 for China Mobile, TD-SCDMA/GSM, Single SIM
N719 for China Telecom, CDMA2000 + GSM, Dual SIM
So the only one that should be compatible with Europe 3G should be the N7102 ?

S7 Edge in Hong Kong Snapdragon or Exynos

Hi,
It seems i have to buy the phone in Hong Kong to use the TDD LTE network from China mobile.
Does anybody know, what version of the S7 edge is sold in Hong Kong, is it Snapdragon or Exynos?
How can i check the difference before i buy the phone? Do They have different version numbers marked on the packaging?
Thanks!
Does anybody know, what version of the S7 edge is sold in Hong Kong, is it Snapdragon or Exynos? Snapdragon 820 (G9350)
How can i check the difference before i buy the phone? Just check the packaging
Do They have different version numbers marked on the packaging? Just G9350
Last year when I was still living in HK (and traveling between the US & Bangkok) I had the option to get the S6 Edge in any of the 3 locations. I chose the G9250 version simply for the wider LTE band coverage. It was a mistake. True that I could use it anywhere I traveled to, I failed to realize that in each place, with a local SIM, you'll have to be subscribed/registered (or whatever you call it) to LTE, otherwise you'll be connected to at most HSPA+ - rendering all those LTE bands a moot point. What I was deprived of, as a result, was the lack of development support. I was so itching to root the phone and ticker the hell out of it but decided just to leave it as stock - even until now.
1 year latter, along came the S7 and the exact same choice. This time it was easy and there was absolutely no doubt, I went with the international Exynos version - 935FD (silver) and never looked back. And yes, I rooted, TWRPed, Xposed, but still on stock ROM. I am having fun with my phone again
Do yourself a big favor and pass on the HK/Chinese 820 SD version - especially if you want root and beyond.

Yea, that why i asked the question, i will only buy the phone if i am able to root it.
My main problem is that i mostly stay in China and China mobile has TDD LTE, i don't know if the international version of the S7 edge can use LTE.
Does anyone know if the international version works with china mobile?
I don't think even the SD820 935F version can be rooted yet, you'll probably have to wait even longer for the 9350.
So now you have a dilemma: Get the rootable 935F/FD and not be compatible with China Mobile's LTE TDD bands 38, 39, 40, 41 - OR - Get the 9350 and not being able to root.
Remember that you can easily switch to "China Telecom or China Unicom" both of which uses LTE bands 1,3,5 and 3 respectively.
You can also still get 2G/2.5G on China Mobile with the 935F/FD

Hello,
I know this is a year old but I just came across this whilst researching for the S8. Just to add, I have the 935F from the UK and it works fine on 4G on China Mobile, not restricted to 2G/2.5G at all.

I can confirm this as I have the chinese model. There's differences in the way the dual sim card works too, or so I've read.
The easiest way to check the different buddy, is to go to www.pdadb.net
Search for the P10 Plus and observe the number of models that come up AL00 and VKY-L29 (etc). Just read both of their spec sheets and you'll see the differences.
RoOSTA
So now I got a Chinese version, and I would like to flash an international version ROM, which one should I use? My model said VKY-AL00, should I download the ROM of VKY-L29 (as it said Asia pacific)..thx
huawei p10 plus supports full active?

Redmi Note 7 global with 4gb ram and 128gb rom real ?

Hi
I've seen Xiaomi's website with Redmi Note 7 specs
https://www.mi.com/global/redmi-note-7/specs/
The text that can be seen states:
4GB + 128GB highest storage configuration
Most suppliers, importers, etc. tell me there's no Redmi Note 7 with FDD LTE B4 (for Latin America) that has 128gb storage.
I've seen this item (among few others) with 59 orders, which has B4 LTE band, etc...
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/In-...ras-Snapdragon-660-Octa-Core/32976864345.html
Why is there no info about this version? Is this a 64gb version with storage chip replaced ? Maybe a refurbished item ?
Thanks

Note 7 with LTE B28?

I have seen in some sites that Redmi Note 7 does not have the B28, but entering the brand's global site, says that there is this band, wanted to know who already has and can confirm if it is released on the device or not.
For those who want to see, here is the link to the Xiaomi Global website:

After looking in Kimovil all the configurations for the Redmi Note 7, I can tell you that there is a version with the B28 band. It isn't the Global one, nor the Chinese one, but the India/Taiwan/Malaysia/Polony one!! Here you have an screenshot:
Sorry but kimovil is the manufactur.
Trust mi.com! If They say global has band 28, than it has.
I have the global one, but No 28 LTE to Test it

Trust the manufacturer site, OK but the webpage doesn't mention which version/variant is described...
There are three models of Redmi Note 7, each one in différents variants (storage, ROM,...).
- M1901F7G : Global model, distributed through European Mi stores (including in France where B28 have been starting to be deployed), amongst others. B28 is NOT enabled. B20 (the main LTE band in Europe so far) is enabled, though.
- M1901F7H : Model with different versions/variants including some delivered with CN ROM (China) and others with APAC ROM (Asia Pacific i.e. Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia,...). This model has certification for B28. But only the APAC variant actually does have B28 enabled. On CN variants, there is no B28.
- M1901FYI : Indian model. No B28 here.
After looking in Kimovil all the configurations for the Redmi Note 7 said:
Beware! ID stands for Indonesia, not for India! Indian model is pretty different in terms of LTE bands. Also, PL actually seems to refer to Poland but this information is really weird since B28 has not been deployed in Poland and Xiaomi sells the Global model with Global/EU ROM in European countries where they currently focus on (Spain, Italy, France, this latest already using B28). A non sense, then... I don't know where this information come from.
Foxy, for what purpose do you need B28 (which network)?

Per the specs, it's obviously the APAC variant. It's a good move from Gearbest who meet the requirement of some Eurogeeks desperately seeking for a cellphone having both B20 and B28 enabled (subscribers the Free network in France). It may even not be a will from them, since they don't offer the M1901F7G anyways (only the CN and APAC variants then). Since the CN version is a real no go for EU customers, the APAC variant is just a perfect alternative as long as it offers all languages. And it is very probable the APAC variant natively includes multilanguage.

Thanks for the precisions!
So at the end (at least for european use) better go with the M1901F7H (APAC) as it has the 48Mpx camera and the B28 in bonus.
Question:
As i'm planning to root later, will there be restriction for B28 on Xiaomi.EU, MiGlobal or future Custom ROMS on this M1901F7H model?

Thanks for the precisions!
So at the end (at least for european use) better go with the M1901F7H (APAC) as it has the 48Mpx camera and the B28 in bonus.

It's what it looks like. I just asked Gearbest to confirm the model number. I will let you know if I get an answer.
The number of bands enabled on this models is impressive. It's not only the B28. This variant also have B2 and B4 which is pretty useful when travelling to the American continent! And none of the "Global Version" bands is missing on the APAC version. If this is confirmed, it's a shame that Xiaomi sells a so-called Global Version in official store although there is another regional version which is truly usable worldwide. Now I feel fooled after having bought my Redmi Note 7 in an official MiStore.
I don't know much the Xiaomi services you talk about but for the custom ROMs I don't see any problem as long as you use a custom ROM designed for the appropriate model (H in this case).
Edit: After further research, I couldn't find any track of an APAC version managing the B20... The Gearbest description seems to be copied-pasted from the Xiaomi global website herebefore linked. However this page list the specs of all the different versions together as one, which is pretty misleading. Better wait the clarification from GB, then...

There's also the 128Go version with the same LTE bands listed.
https://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_009560908387.html?wid=1349303#goodsDetail
Is it the same H version with just bigger internal storage? (looks like...)
EDIT: interresting post on this forum:
https://forum.hardware.fr/hfr/gsmgpspda/telephone-android/unique-redmi-note-sujet_32992_16.htm#t2428695
Xiaomi has on global site different bands than in FR and ES sites, and also on IT site has different bands from all of them.
Global: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28
ES: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20 (a few weeks ago ther was not B4 on Spanish site specs).
FR: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20
IT: B1/3/5/7/8/20
AFter checking again FCC certification:
https://fccid.io/2AFZZ-RMSF7H/Lette [...] er-4142497
And a unit bought by me in spain, i see that Spanish version is the M1901F7G and that does not have B28, and after checking all mi sites, I see that only some countries has B28:
· Indonesia
· Malaysia
· Poland
· Vietnam
So for this countries they have M1901F7H with B28. I have updated bands on Kimovil site, is hard to find real bands and we have not found any shop with B28 version

indonesia MI specs shows B20 B28.
https://www.mi.co.id/id/redmi-note-7/specs/
Same as the official Taiwanese store :
https://mobile.mi.com/tw/redmi-note-7/#specs
And with these LTE specs, it comes in two variants 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB (no 3GB/32GB like for the Global Version nor 6GB/128GB) exactly like the two options offered by Gearbest.
So yes, this phone with both B20 and B28 and much more exists. The remaining question is why Xiaomi made a so called Global Version that is way less global than this one? Is it just to save few dollars on European's customer account? :-/ Or for certification reasons?...
i "love" the Gearbest answer:
Your original question is "Can you confirm it is the M1901F7H global version?"
Here is the answer from Our Customer service Team:
"
Dear Zedoc,
Thanks for your request.
It is Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 4G Phablet Global Version.
"

Foxy, for what purpose do you need B28 (which network)?

I live in Brazil and here the B28 is being widely implemented by the operators, to work with the B3 and B7, but the plan is that in some years the B28 becomes the main to cover the largest space of coverage areas possible.

Totally contradictory with the description... It says much on GB's reliability. :-/
Let's see the positive thing. At least you got a reply. I'm still waiting mine.

There is no M1901F7H global version.
The Global Version is M1901F7G.
The official Xiaomi website says that it has B28 700Mhz
Unfortunately, so far nobody can confirm this is true.
From what I find online, the only variant that has B28 is M1901F7H. It is sold in Taiwan and a few other APAC countries like Singapore.
I have a RN5 with H at the end in model number (taiwan version). Shows B28 with LTE Discovery, but most of the time it shows B2. My operator uses both. Just tried G ending RN7 Global and only shows B2, no B28, tried several times. Even in moments when my RN5 showed steady B28, switched sim card and no B28 in RN7. So it seems like it's not supported. Just opened dispute with AliExpress, on the listing it showed B28.

None of the sources that say the "G" version lacks B28 is believable. They mostly get the information from the User Manual, which does not list B28 (but that could be an error since it was probably copied from another version of the manual).

The only definitive way to test is to find out which towers are carrying B28 ONLY for 4G for your carrier/operator. In Australia we have a website called oztowers.com.au that allows us to do this, you probably have one too.
Find a tower that only has B28 for 4G for your carrier, and travel to it. Park next to it and see what happens.
There is little confirmed information about B28 and it is confused.
Several stores in Aliexpress are listed as B28 in the description of RN7. However, the review image posted by the buyer is M1901F7G.
Are the descriptions of these shops false?
I asked a few shops about B28, but the shops only replied "This is a global version".
I am also curious about global version and am buying from the US. Need bands 2 and 4 which site do u guys suggest I order from? And does gearbest sell unlocked ones but not aliexpress?
