Huawei Ascend G700-U10 - Titanium Backup - Restore SMS - Stock ROM - Huawei Ascend G7 Questions & Answers

Hi guys, I've got a Huawei G700-U10 which has stock ROM installed, with Android 4.2.1 (never installed an update, as far as I can remember).
I never messed with the phone. But did root it, so I could use Titanium Backup (payed version) on it properly.
I used Framaroot to root it, with SuperSU.
Backup were running smoothly. But few days back the phone didn't boot up at all.
Seems to happen a lot with this phone, it went into a bootloop.
Tried a few things to get it back up, but nothing worked, so decided to do a factory reset.
As I did have my full device backups (on ext. SDcard), I thought, there wouldn't be any problems.
So I did a factory reset, by pushing the Volume up + Power button.
After that the phone booted up and I installed Titanium Backup on it.
To my surprise the phone was still rooted...(?)
I can restore everything else besides the SMS history. It seems to restore a part of the SMS history and then stops, with the error:
Data restore failed for "Messages (SMS & MMS)".
Checking the SMS app, I see that only a part of the history has been restored.
I tried to make Titanium Backup the default SMS app, but that didn't work.
Do you guys have any idea on how to get a full restore of my SMS history.
It doesn't have to be restored on the phone itself, it can be a text file for all I care.
Any help is appreciated :fingers-crossed:

Titanium backup help...

So out of no where yesterday I was exasperating market crashes with ACS ICS v5.5. So I reflashed the rom (doing the standard 3x cleans) and when I restored from Titanium my SMS, call logs, wifi settings, and basically nothing but the apps and app data came back. I looked on there wiki and made sure all my setting where right (they are) and i even manually went in to flash just SMS and other data and even thought it says it completed fine it does not come back. The only thing i can think is my last back up went bad somehow (yes i did verify my back up once it was done)? Does anybody know a way for my to go back and flash a older back? I cant find a way to select older back ups.
Did you choose to restore system apps AND data?
I had the same problem before, i notice that the sms and other things can only be restored when you restore them to that rom.

Error when restoirn data portion of nandroid backup + causing other problems.

Ok, so I have made a number of nandroid backups and after doing some ROM flashing I decided to restore to one of them. I am using TWRP2.6.0.0 and when I clicked on restore it went through all the normal processors for boot, system and recovery but when it reached the data section it took the usual time to restore data (300 secs or so) but then an error message appeared.OK I thought to myself, this backup must just be corrupt so I tried a previous one but the exact same thing occurred. I decided to reboot anyway and it booted up fine but strangely it seemed like the data had already been restored, Google account was logged in, alarms were set ect, but when I launched an app all the data had been erased. I have tried restoring backups using TWRP 2.5.0.0 and 2.6.0.0, backups both with and without compression and restoring each part indevidualy but still I got the same results. As I had no titanium backup data for most of my apps I used an app called nandroid manager root. This let me access the app data from by nandroid backups and restore them and that worked fine. For a while everything worked fine until I noticed a few of my apps had been uninstalled, exposed installer, too manager, 3d mark and few more, I tried redownloading from the play store but I keep getting "app not installed errors" I have also tried installing the apk and using root apps to install it but I keep getting errors. this makes me think some files must'be restored from the nandroid and are not letting the app be installed. I'm not sure and I'm quite a noob but I am wondering if their's anyway to fix this without factory reseeting and if theirs any way to get future nandroid backups to work. Thank you.

[Q] Titanium Backup wont backup

I was about to update to 4.4 and went through my usual process of backing things up using TiBu.. While selecting the apps which I wanted to backup the process seemed fine. However, whenever I go back into the app it is as if though I never backed up, with the latest backups showing from a couple of months ago. A quick search through the backup folder using a file explorer shows the backup files for today's date so they have maybe been backed up. I have tried changing the back up location but it always switches back to emulated/legacy when the app restarts. Any help appreciated.

[Q] Problem restoring backup

I tried a new rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...galaxy-s5-stock-rom-final-fast-clean-t2888215) for the first time and it wouldn't work properly (no mobile connection, menu and back buttons didn't work, etc.)
When I restored my backup, I did it like I always did on my last phone: wipe data/cache/davlik cache, restore backup, reboot.
I can't get past multiple notifications that process.google.gapps (might not be exactly what it said) has stopped, and I can't do anything but pull my battery and try another ROM.

Lost all my SMS/MMS when I let Google setup restore most recent

I wiped my phone and installed a new rom for a couple hours, received one text during that time. Then I wiped again, installed a fresh AICP rom, and let Google Setup restore my most recent backup from the cloud. It only restored the one message, and I lost a couple years worth of messages.
Is there a way to restore my messages from the cloud backup, to a certain point-in-time?
Thanks!

If you go back to stock and restore that backup you should get all your messages. I had the same issue on ROMs that sms was not restoring. Even though Google does a pretty descent job backing up I use sms backup and restore also. It's free and can backup anywhere (google drive, device, email etc.) That way you never have to worry again.
