Oneplus 2 Chinese version question! - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can someone of you with Chinese version test dual SIM functionality in case
while you are actively using the internet traffic (3G mobile data) on the SIM1
are you able to receive calls on SIM2?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app

Yep, can work whichever Sim has mobile data active. When you receive a call, the mobile data switches off, and turns automatically on after call ended. If you have issues, it could be your network operator. In China the dual Sim is switching properly (after calling, both Sims connect to network). In EU and USA its different. If I'm calling from sim1, Sim2 will be disconnected, and after sim1 call finished, sometimes Sim2 won't reconnect. Also, OP 2001 has one IMEI, while 2003 and 2005 has 2 IMEI's.

Dual sim problem?

Hi,
I have a problem with the dual sim connection. I have a sim that i use only in 3G for data and another in 2G for voice.
The problem is:when the 3G is active on the first sim, i can not receive calls on the second sim. For example i have the 3g active, then i put the phone in standby. To receive a call, the other person must try 3 or 4 times in order for the phone to ring.
Is this normal?

Dual SIM again messing with my head

Hi and a happy new year everyone
I'm trying to use my tablets SIM which has rather good internet capabilities as my second SIM (SIM2). My main SIM (SIM1) is used for calls/sms.
I'm from Scandinavia. SIM1 is 3, SIM2 is Telenor.
SIM1 is being used only to call/sms.
SIM2 is used for internet.
I can't chose 4G/3G for both networks, only one.
SIM1 doesn't work with 2G network (emergency calls only problem) only 4G/3G, but that leaves me using SIM2 with only 2G, which defeats the whole purpose.
Where is the problem? Is it a phone or provider issue?

*DUAL SIM* LG V20 users: Please test 4G/3G capabilities and report your findings...

Hi guys,
For anyone with a dual SIM model of the LG V20, can you please do myself and others a big favour?
I need to determine the phones capabilities and functionality when it comes to dual sim capability. We know this is only dual standby, but I need to determine a few things. Can someone please answer these questions ONLY if you have this phone and ONLY if you've tested it?
1) Can a 3G phone (voice) call be received on a SIM whilst the other SIM's 4G data is in use (Y/N)?
2) If yes, does the 4G data SWITCH OVER to the other SIM to allow that voice call to come through, or:
3) Does the 4G data temporarily cut out on the "data active" SIM for the other SIM to allow inbound 3G voice call?
4) Can you deactivate test to confirm with 100% accutracy only 4g and/or 3G is being used on both SIMs?
Any help from current users (or if anyone can post a video oft he settings/functionality), that would be awesome!
Thank you
RoOSTA
Please don't all jump up at once.

Hi. Cant exactly verify this because in the Phillippines H990DS. We dont have voice call over 3G.
But if it helps, i have a viber account on SIM2s number. I use SIM1 as Data provider.
When i get a viber call on SIM2s number, it doesnt switch but instead uses SIM1s data.
But not entirely sure if that works the same as Voice over 3G
When one sim is in use the other is disabled, I think the only phone that does this is huawei mate 7, but that's 4G+2G or 3G+2G.

Not entirely. Yes, they are dual standy by...but when 4G is active on SIM and call comes in on SIM 2, it should eityhert SWITCH the data to SIM 2 to allow call to come through, or temporarily disable 4G on SIM 1 for the call to get through. See other models that dpo this:

This phone has the new chipset that can allow this. Have you actually tried this, or have any images to confirm your findings?

You have the HK model, right? Makes no sense why two dozen or more other models out there with this chipset can allow 4g/3g (evenif 1 is temporarily disabled) and this new flagship doesnt.
i got the H990DS today. I have Tmo and AT&T. it has 3G standby. No matter which SIM i select in 4G the other always holds 3G.

Perfect. Thanks for confirming. Sorry to be a pain in the butt but could you screenshot that on the phone and post to confirm {if signal at top left status bar shows this}?

Sure thing. :good:
..
here is my findings for a few days, i bought a data sim card (only internet) and added to my LG V20 as SIM2
1) yes, you can receive calls while the data is working on the second sim
2,3) in my case, when i receive a call from SIM1 (4G), the data SIM2 still connects between 4G and 3.5G, but in both cases the data is been cutted off and unable to do anything
(this was tested via hotspot the SIM2 and getting a call on SIM1, happened multiple occasions)
4) until now, SIM1 and SIM2 in my device works both on 4G (battery drainage is surprisingly holding up)(tested via switching between SIM1 and SIM2 Data connection)
one note to be considered, the data speed was very low, i called my provider and adviced me to switch to another device (portable router adviced), i switched the sim to another device (Note 3) and the net speed was signifacantly better for a while

Your answer is helpful, Silver Mask! Just to confirm, if I'm on a call on SIM2, I would not be able to use the internet on SIM1 at the same time? (e.g. if I wanted to use Google Maps with SIM1 sata while I have a SIM2 call on speaker). If I understand correctly, you're saying I can receive a call on SIM2 while I'm using SIM1 data but once I pick up the call, the data from SIM1 will be temporarily disabled?

Either disabled as an extream case, 50% of the time it switch to lower band (from 4G/LTE to 3G), even then the data feels slow, but usually any navigation app and social messaging apps doesn't get affected that much, it is just annoying

Simultaneous 4G support on both sims?

Does this phone support 4G on both sims simultaneously like HONOR 10?
Yes, it supports simultaneous dual VoLTE.
Does this mean, if i have a volte enabled sim(jio) in sim slot 2, and non-volte sim(airtel) in sim slot 1, and i have data enabled on sim slot 1(airtel), then the sim in sim slot 2 DOES NOT go out of service, and i CAN make calls from it..
The reason i ask this is because, in other smartphones like Mi A1/RN3 , when i have the same above scenario,
the sim in sim slot 2 DOES go out of service, and i CAN'T EVEN make calls from it.

This phone support TRUE Dual Volte unlike other phones. So yes you can set data inn Airtel and use Jio in second sim simultaneously. You can even use Dual Jio SIM in this phone.

Sir, I am using the Zenfone Max Pro M1, the dual VOLTE is not working, when I am using one SIM for the call the other SIM is going offline, in other words when I am on phone call the Mobile data connection is getting disconnected on the other SIM. Does anyone experiencing the similar issue?

Facing same issue, Asked customer support executive for the same and according to them this is bug and we need to go asus service and ask them to resolve this.
Scenario: Airtel/Cellone on SIM1 and Jio on SIM2
1) Data is set to SIM1 and Jio calling works fine. However, data is 2.5G/3G (SIM Card limitation) hence not sure about dual VOLTE 4G.
2) Data is set to SIM2 (Jio) and working fine. However, as soon as I receive a call on SIM1, mobile internet connectivity is disrupted and I cannot use mobile data while on call. Note that the mobile data itself does not show disconnected (the x mark). The only way to use data during call is wifi.
3) Data is set to SIM2 (Jio) and works fine during call if the call is received on SIM2.
I've had no issues with jio and Vodafone dual volte.
Airtel has no LTE coverage in my zone

I read this on asus website .So , we cant say that it is dual 4g volte.
" Both SIM card slots support 4G LTE network band. But only one SIM card can connect to 4G LTE service at a time."

Hmm, it is dual 4G Volte but not dual ACTIVE 4G Volte.

Samsung Galaxy S10+ randomly switches to roaming SIM and forces enable data roaming!

I have the latest firmware update, and I'm using it with 2 SIMs; Sim #1 is a Google-Fi on roaming, and Sim #2 is the local default sim. I choose SIM 2 to be the default for everything (calls, SMSs, and data). However, I kept seeing the mobile for some reason switches the data to SIM 1, however, I disabled data roaming, and surprisingly, the mobile still randomly changes to SIM 1 (Google Fi) and also consume data!!
