USB mass storage not work on Mac

I can connect the i9000 to my PC using mass storage mode and see it as an USB disk, but it doesn't work on my Mac, it recognize nothing (I have chosen to mount the drive after connected to the USB as I did the same when connecting to Windows). I can see there is a Samsung USB device connected in the System Profiler but the disk won't mount, any clues?
Thanks.
I have the very same problem. Works in PC, not on my iMac.
You need to enable USB debugging and after that it will work.

Yep. Speaking as a Mac OS X user I can confirm this works.
The is no way to flash from a Mac though. However, I have high hopes for ROM Manager

I got it:
Settings > Application > Development
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Of course it's to be done on the phone. Sorry, I should have been more specific.
I've enabled USB Debugging and can't get my mac to recognize my phone to use it as a USB storage device?!?! I'm running ICS 4.0.3 XXLPB. I didn't have any problem at first with GB. Any suggestions? Thanks! =)
EDIT: Silly me, wrong forum my phone is i9100.... Still would appreciate any help.

[Q] Cannot go to USB storage when connect the USB cable

I am facing this problem from today suddenly. My HTC HD2 USB storage does not connect through USB cable. So I cannot go to SD card storage file. When I connect the USB cable it does not give prompt that "Open USB Storage Now?". If I go to status bar notification to see if the connection made or not and it does not show "USB storage On".
Can anyone help me to solve this problem please.

Hi there,
Finally the problem is solved with the help of Powerofthink from Izmir who gave me the solution which is given below:
Answered by Powerofthink from Izmir ON 01JUN12 at 10:07pm
ICS Port that you use still doesn't natively support USB Mass Storage.
Use this .apk please.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=819888&d=1324131985
..And follow this page for this ROM.

Mainly what I did is to download net.bexton.android apk from the google browser and install the program. Google search net.bexton.android apk and download it on the phone. Once download finished tap the application to install it. New icon for the application will be on the page.
Million thanks to Powerofthink for the help

[Q] how to enable MTP on CM10?

seems much faster SD card writing speed via MTP then USB mass storage, but everytime when I connect to PC, it is forced to use USB mode. appreciate if anyone can help.
Marmite kernel have MTP function. May be you can try it out.

is there any other way no need to flash kernel?
You must first enable MTP on your phone to see if the stock CM kernel already supports it. You can go to settings > Storage and tap on the capacitive menu button (Second from the left). If you see USB Computer Connection or USB settings, tab on it.Now you must select Media Device (MTP) instead of mass storage device at this point. Then you connect to your computer. If the phone is now detected as a media device, you would know that MTP support is built in. If not, then you must flash marmite to get MTP to work.
Even though they have the option in their storage settings, I don't think their stock kernel supports mtp.
If you try my kernel for cm, you will not be disappointed.

Redmi Note 3 cannot connect to PC

Hi Guys.
I have one Redmi Note 3 and I am having a problem to connect it to my pcs.
Before everything was ok. I connected the USB cable and I could transfer files between my pc and the Redmi Note 3 using My Computer.
Now, I connect the Note 3 and I cannot see the storage anymore. So, it's impossible to copy anything between pc or note 3.
I checked with several cables and different ports and in two different pcs. I cannot connect with MIPC Suite either. The Note 3 recharges normally.
I believe it's a driver version problem.
I am using Windows 10 and MIUI 7.1.6.0 Stable Version.
Thanks for all help.
Check if the drivers are updated to win10
The best way is to download them from miui.com or mi.com

Go to the Setting> Additional Setting and look for the "developer options"
if you cant see that option, go to the Setting> About phone and tap five times on "MIUI version", you'll see a little popup message "you a developer now", then go to Setting> Additional > Developer options and enable "developer options" and "USB debugging"
Hey Guys, even i faced the same problem but it got fixed so easily than i ever thought . As soon as you connect your phone to laptop using data cable, you will find an option called " Touch for more option" in your phone, when you touch on that option, it will prompt you with three option > Charging only , Thasfer files (MTP) and Transfer photos (PTP), when you click on these you will be able to see Internal storage, then you can copy paste whatever files you want Hope it helps.
Even after usb debugging, i can not see the storage in my pc
I had same issue with my Xiaomi Redmi 3s prime as i can not get it to connect to my PC but got it fixed .
1. enable developer option and enable USB debugging
2. reinstall MTP driver on windows using wpdmtp.inf in windows folder while your phone is connected

Solution to Xiaomi Phone not connecting to PC via USB
Enable developer option: go to settings>About Phone and tap MIUI version about 6 times then you will see a pop up notification that you are now a developer.
Enable USB debugging: after enabling developer option you should go to settings>additional settings>Developer options then enable USB debugging
Now connect your xiaomi phone to your PC via USB cable
On your computer go to PC>C drive>windows >INF > and look for wpdmtp.inf (make sure your xiaomi phone is connect via usb) then right click on the file wpdmtp and click install with your phone plugged in.
Note: when you connect via cable you have an option on the top notification to select either to charge only, transfer files or photos. you should select transfer file.
