DPI changed, need another camera - good as stock camera? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, i changed the dpi of the screen, now i can´t use stock camera anymore. My phone is not rooted.
If i install a new camera-app, will there be used the samsung drivers or will only use stock camera samsung camera use the samsung drivers?
Will a 3rd-party camera-app be as good as stock one and make same good pictures?

use google camera on play store and another keyboard.

Is picture quality same as with samsung stock camera?
Does google camera or another camera app also use samsung drivers or do they use android standard drivers for camera?
Only samsung stock camera is working with heart rate sensor to make selfies?
-----------
Stock dialer is not displayed correctly, too. But it is only displayed a little bit smaller, buttons are working.
With camera app i can also see only smaller screen, but it seems that buttons are still to press on the place they were before, but now they are diplayed a little bit to the right. So i can use stock camera app, but i have to press buttons with good luck...

Stock Camera app?

Does anybody have the stock camera app apk? I really don't want to have to reflash my phone as it is set up how I like it and am really liking the stock+root - debloated w/ launcher setup as of now. The problem is that the stock camera isn't working, once it goes on, it becomes unresponsive and won't take pictures.
I have been using the Google camera, but I am missing features of the stock one and always prefer to use the camera app that was created around the hardware.
I was wondering if anybody had a link to the stock camera app so I could reflash it and replaced the old, broken one. I have tried to clear data and it still gives me the same issues.
Thanks!

LCD Density & Camera App

Hey all,
I just recently changed the LCD density of my note 4 to 500.
All of the apps seem to work flawlessly apart from the camera app. For some reason when in full screen it doesn't stretch to fit the screen but end up with black bars around two edges. It seems like a scaling issue. Is there a way to fix this?
Cheers,
kipp
I hope you are in 5.0.1 , If so you can flash this wwwandroidfilehostcom/?fid=95916177934555233 to get the dialer and the touchwiz camera to work flawlessly . The improper scaling happens because the lazy samsung devs not only deliver buggy slow ass Touchwiz as well as non Multi DPI compatible apps .
Thanks Aukhan for the flasahble zips

Is there any fix for 5.1.1?
Do you try xposed module "app settings"? You can change DPI per app
I dont think Xposed works for Touchwiz 5.1.1 and If so i highly doubt App settings module's compatibility

Camera UI is huge

I stupidly updated the stock camera app via apkmirror and it must've been for a different phone as my camera app now looks like in the screenshot below.
How do I fix this? How do I revert back to the official nougat camera app?
If the new camera updated the stock camera, go into your application manager (in the Settings), find the camera and disable it.
After a prompt, it should uninstall the updates and leave just the stock camera.
Reenable after its finished, and you should be good to go.

It's just that it was huge compared to normal compare the screenshot below to the original one and you'll see. (View pictures fullscreen on your phone to see it clearly)

Flash in camera app doesn't work properly

Hi all,
I recently installed the GCam port on my Axon 7 (rooted, running Magisk), works fine, except for one problem. Flash just doesn't work properly.
- The first problem is that it's finicky on when it decides to use the flash, even if I set it to "On" in the on screen menu. I have to be in a dark environment for it to go off.
- Second, the camera won't take a correct picture when flash is active. It will work, but the final image doesn't have any flash on it.
Here is a video showing both problems: https://youtu.be/8isBucEs6WI (Somehow I even had the first problem in a very dark room)
If you guys know anything I can do to fix this, that would be great. Thank you.

Found it, seems to be honestly better quality than any of the Gcam ports I've found... :scratchhead:

Needing the stock OnePlus 5 camera app

Hi there!
I flashed the ResurrectionRemix rom, but the stock camera app that comes with it does not seem to allow changing the aspect ratio and resolution (we were several people to look into it and did not find the option).
Then, I installed CameraMX, but it bugs a lot with panorama, and cannot switch to front camera (when I click the button to switch, it says on the back camera).
Because, at least in my memories, the stock camera app of the OP5 was near perfect, I'd very much like to install it in place of these 2 bugged camera apps that I have now.
Is it possible to do this?
Thanks a lot!

Also use appropriate section for asking questions.
Thanks for the reply! I'm gonna try that
However, am I not in the "apps" forum?
