So specs for an Ara tablet showed up on GFXBench? - Project Ara General

Came across this article that shows a screenshot of a GFXBench device entry for a 13.8 inch tablet with the name Google Project Ara. Article claims it could be fake though...what do you think? Anyone heard anything about an Ara tablet?

I've seen that page before, if you look closely it looks like a lot of garbage statistics. I don't believe it, it looks fake to me and there is no evidence whatsoever anywhere else in the Internet. Sadly, i dont think there will be a tablet yet. To be honest, i think they need to shove out a phone first.

Yep just a matter of time. Android is quickly gaining popularity and so the evil hackers are paying attention.

Windows just has a larger, and more inexperienced, user base than Linux. The malware are proportionately larger, and untreated ones even more so.

The best one is you. Not downloading pirated apps from China is the most effective defense, Barring that, Lookout claims in the article that they effectively protect against it.
Lookout has already delivered an update for its Android users to protect them against known instances of the Trojan. If you are already a Lookout user (free or premium), you are protected and no action is needed.

I have a 32GB SGS2!!!

Just purchased today in Taiwan.
GT-I9100
2.3.3
I9100XXKG1
2.6.35.7 I9100ZSKG2-CL361136
GINGERBREAD.ZSKG2
I wonder, does anyone want me to upload this ROM soon before I do too much to it, as it may vary from the 16GB model? How can I, here in Taiwan, be the first in the world to get this device???!??!
I will try to post photos and an unboxing with cute Chinese girls.
Woot, never heard about the launch of the 32 GB version. If that's true, it's nice news.
SGS2 with 32G? I'm excited to see the pics...
Its interesting, anyway could you check what kind of audio hub is implemented ? Go to system/etc/asound.conf , in 16 gb version exists Yamaha, unfortunately.
how much did it cost you out of curiosity?

Your the one on glue , that site was up since first SGS2 was released we all knew the possibility of 32GB , later on a blog samsung/or a distributor claimed its not happening. OP also spamming this in two subforums and not providing any proof, so get down from your high horse.
If it is true its all great but, again where are the PICs ?
Ok guys, stop arguing. There may or may not be a 32gb version in existence at the current time. One way to know for sure is to have a screenshot showing that it has 32gb. However, that being said, a lack of a screenshot does not yet mean there isn't a 32gb version. It just simply means there is no evidence to fully substantiate that there is a 32gb version.

If you were to trust Samsung, you should have seen a Tegra 2 GT-I9100, which didn't happen either. So of course people don't believe that only one xda member got a 32 GB phone and he's reluctant in showing us pics

So much epeen.. So much arguing.. Why must everything on XDA degrade to a pissing contest..
If he says he has one, great.. If he's a liar that's great too.. People do what they do.. he's feeding his ego by posting a falsehood pretty much the same as you are feeding yours by being the savior and pointing out said falsehood.
Realistically neither matter too much in the grand scheme of of things...
Sometimes it is best to follow the old rule.. If you have nothing positive to say, be silent.

I'm often astounded at the vitriol that is slung around here sometimes. To quote Linus Van Pelt (the only one who I actually KNOW, and am willing to acknowledge, said these words), "I bring you tidings of great joy." and you slag me? We're all in this together people. The Palm community would have never gotten so vicious as this thread. People calling me a liar...honestly. I do thank those who had the grace to defend me.
I think those thugs should take a look at my sig. I had smartphones while they were in regular phones. I had one of the first of the first 10,000 run of BB 850's (Google it). That was in the last century kiddies!
I hope I can upload a photo here. I took a long time dealing with Taiwanese people to get this and then was late for work, so had no time to upload pics. Will try to do it now. Some of us have lives. If the pic I'm trying to upload doesn't slake your curiosity tell me what else you'd like me to show.
It was "Made in china by Samsung"
I want to see if someone asks me for/ needs this potentially unique ROM. I haven't attempted root, but have read the howto thread once, so I can't go to system/etc/asound.conf yet. I can't browse there in Win7, but might jam it into my Linuxbox when my son wakes tomorrow as what DAC it is a burning question for me too! I would also like to find out if it's Eynos/Mali. Where could I find that short of a teardown? The telco said it is Exynos/Mali. Please give me explicit instructions as I'm a noob and am allergic to command line
It cost me $NT22490 cash today, which included the next 11 months free service (NT$1049/mo) of the 2yr contract(unlimited 3G/HSPDA, 400 sms, 30mins voice).

Has anyone seen this Samsung launcher yet?

Anyone see Samsung's bizarre "Pure Breeze" launcher yet? I'm sure it's a different division, but I'm glad to see they're working on bull**** like this instead of things like Gingerbread updates.

I have a feeling that developer has absolutely nothing to do with Samsung other than deciding to get a free ride by including the name in his own.
No, I think it's legit... I don't get it either. Galaxy S Support also RTed it.

http://twitter.com/#!/SamsungJohn/status/105450490367705088
Yeah I just don't see how Samsung could be affiliated with this horrid launcher.
Either someone threw the Samsung name in their author title, or Samsung needs better quality control in their Android development department.
EDIT: I saw the twitter post from Samsungjohn and I have to say I'm disappointed. :/

Couldn't have thought of it..

Hey guys, check out this cool app here-
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.helloklick.android
Note:You'll need to buy a really 'cheap on pocket' device to use it which doubles up as a Dust-Plug.. Or rather I should say, it's actually a Dust Plug that doubles up(or even more)..
I just now ordered it and it costed me only US$ 2.24 including shipping money
Waiting eagerly for it to arrive to me..
I'm not posting any links here to the device because I'm not sure as to whether it'll be an infringement of XDA's rules..
For those who're worried that it might get lost while using earphones-it has a solution to it too..
Last but not least, it couples up with Tasker.. :victory:
Here's a quick video, the version of app is old here though, but it'll familiarize you with the device and the app itself-
http://youtu.be/CQJvdU7TPBs
It'll work for Android devices only.. Not sure about the minimum version of Android required though..
Let me know how this turns out for you

1. You better change your thread title because it doesn't have any relation with what are you advertising here.
2. What is the connection of "Apps and Games" with your thread?
I think that a moderator should close this thread to save people's time.

I did a quick search and liked the idea but the problem I think would be that in pocket, those 4 buttons could be activated due to its placement on the backside, talking of backside of phone, I use a wallet case for my Note 3 and that wouldn't let me use Dimple..
You know what..
I just now figured out that, the button on the earphone would function like the button on this smart dust plug when one is using the earphone.. :victory:
For those of you interested in it, it's called-
360 Universal 3.5mm Plug One-click Shortcut Key
Pretty long name I know..
But what's in the name..
And the name of the app is Klick
It's available here for download..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...m=klick&pcampaignid=APPU_57SwU7qWI8WFOL7dgegJ
Great thing-it won't compromise with the security of your phone.
Pre-assigned app will be launched and using that app to navigate further into system will take you back to the lock screen..

Battery performance is still fine for me..
I came across Pressy only after I ordered the Smart Dust Plug for myself and realised that the Chinese manufacturers copied this idea too..
Because they weren't required to put in R&D like the Pressy guys did, it costs only a small fraction of it without the need to wait for it to get delivered..
It's sad for the Pressy guys but you just can't stop the Chinese manufacturers..
InPrivate
Could anyone please share the Activation Code of their Pressy, I want to give the related app a try with my Dust Plug. .
