Installing Xposed on Fire TV 2 (Guide) - Fire TV General

How to install Xposed on Amazon Fire TV 2 (Guide)
PLEASE READ
As per normal I will not take responsibility if you do something wrong or brick your fire TV 2, you need to be already Rooted & running a custom recovery/rom If you don't know how to do this or not sure. Do Not Use until you have those running!
(I did not make these I'm just helping out some of the forum members who don't know how to install Xposed on the Fire Tv2 please go to the Xposed thread & leave thanks if using Xposed thank you)
First download my zip with all files attached or use my Mediafire mirror link below
Steps -
1) Copy your 5.0.4 (or latest stable version) zip file on your external micro SD card (skip this step if already on a rbox custom rom & have twrp recovery & move to step5)
2) Launch Recovery
3) Now hit Install, Select Storage and choose Micro SDCard, and flash your 5.0.4 ROM (or latest version),
4) Reboot, then complete the usual first time steps to get to the main menu.
5) Check ADB Debbuging and Unknown Applications as usual on the Developer Options section.
6) Download v80 SDK 22 ARM64 zip
7) Push the file to the AFTV2 into any folders you like (I use download or the main directory).
8) Launch recovery again and flash the zip file, after that reboot.
9) Download and Install Xposed Installer
10) Download and Install HDX
11) Open the Xposed Installer, then select framework & see if Xposed is active?
12) Go to modules & activate HDX
13) Reboot to get HDX working
14) Enjoy Xposed on Fire Tv2!
You should now have a working Xposed Framework on Your AFTV2
My all in 1 download zip is at the bottom in the attachments section on this page
Or you can use my Mediafire Mirror link which also has my All in One Xposed Zip or single file downloads-
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/gsvf792qilga9/AFTV2_Xposed_Files
Or If having trouble you can also use the links here to download the files manually one by one.

Thanks I was just coming to see if xposed could be installed on the aftv2. I also am interested in the play store. Has there been any success installing it properly with xposed support like the first gen. I have tried installing as system apps only to have the store force close, no location services and Google services need to be updated errors.

Yes this version of Xposed can be installed on the AFTV2 , the playstore is a bugger To get working, I myself have a Play store that opens but won't let you download anything it just throws a error code at you (976 error), not as good compared to the gen 1 so I've read.

Did you do the steps in the right order? Did you do all the reboots required?
Did you apply the hdx to be turned on in the module settings via the xposed app?
Try all these or if not uninstall & repeat the steps one by one as instructed.
Hope this helps If so press that thanks button

Have you accepted the root prompt to tick on screen when you rooted? If the framework isn't installed you didn't flash the zip in recovery yet? Or did you do something to break su? (Like downgrading your recovery & break su?) If so start again & reflash your rom or contact rbox he maybe able to help with a broken su

You could try the manual links & check the md5's & or redownload the hdx apk, if you reflash your rom you will need to reinstall the xposed framework anyway so try again or you could get some support from the author in the manual links? I installed with no problems using the steps I provided & so have some other forum members too.

I done It on my friends box today, followed the instructions again but the only thing I forgot was to install the xposed installer, I installed that & opened to make sure the framework was installed, then checked the modules, enabled The hdx & then rebooted, & after that it was all working fine.

I have done it a couple of times and never had an issue. Make sure Xposed Installer has root access. Did you check under /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/ if the file modules.list exists? Else try uninstalling and re-installing Xposed Installer. It is definitely an issue with the Xposed Installer app and not the framework.

Also having issues finalizing xposed
I also am having issues. I have been trying to figure this out for hours. I followed the step-by-step instructions exactly... a couple times actually. (Although I am new to this so I might not have some terminology correct, my apologize in advance.)
- I have a rooted Fire TV 2
- Flashed rbox's 5.0.5, v4 recovery rom via adb (Could the v4 be the issue? I heard that people who have 5.0.4, and 5.0.5 v1 have had success, but nothing on v4?)
- Downloaded the v80_SDK_22 and 23 ARM64.zip (tired both)
- Flashed the above zip file via the recovery (TWRP)
- Pushed and Installed Xposed installer, 3.0 alpha 4
- Pushed and installed the HDX (but havent gotten a chance to do anything with it.
I open up Xposed, and it says "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you framework and reboot?"
Then I click Framework, to install/reboot and I get a red message stating "The Xposed framework is not installed. Pelase download the latest zip file from XDA and flash it manually" Which I thought I did through the recovery menu through TWRP...
Another dumb question... So I have rbox's TWRP, but what abour the ClockWorkMod... How do I know if I have this or not... is it needed?
Did I do something wrong??

After the new steps, it is working perfectly for me. I used the 22nd version of the Xposed frameworks zip, NOT the 23rd, should have listened the first time (not sure if that had anything to do with it or not)
But, it is up and running. Thank you!

About This ROM:
Hey guys, so Samsung has finally released JB 4.1.2 for the Bell Canada SGH-I757M, which is currently only available through the sammobile.com website and through Samsung KIES. The download zip contains a tar.md5 file and includes a 3e Recovery partition. That's bad news for those of you with a custom recovery. It will be overwritten and you'll have to go through flashing your custom recovery partition again.
So I bring you a Stock Flashable zip that won't replace your custom recovery. That way you can try the new stock rom without loosing root or your custom recovery.
The only credit I assume here is putting the zip package together which involved using @dsixda Kitchen (thanks dsixda). I also added root to this package so that you can have a fully rooted Stock Rom.

Those of you looking for a flashable zip for rooting that works with the tar.md5 JB rom from sammobile.com, use this one:
CWM-SuperSU-v0.99.zip - I did not put this package together, it was given to my be another member, but it worked when others did not.New Instructions (Aroma Installer):
Instructions for the Aroma Installer version is extremely simple, there is no need to wipe data/format cache/format dalvik-cache as the Installer will take care of that for you if you want it to.
*** ALWAYS REMEMBER TO TAKE A NANDROID AND ALL YOUR NECESSARY BACKUPS BEFORE FLASHING ***
The one zip file contains all of the modems (ICS & JB), the new playstore app (install optional) and all mods. Just download the zip file and flash it like you would any other ROM, then you will be taken through a series of installer screens that will allow you to choose which apps, mods and modems you want to install.

MODS
Extended Power Menu MOD
To apply the Extended Power Menu MOD, download the following zip to your sdcard as it needs to be flashed from CWM:
MOD_SGH-I757M_STOCK_JB_EXTENDED_POWER_MENU.zip (19.6MB)
1. First take a nandroid backup since we are modifying system files and can easily soft brick our phone by doing this.
2. Flash the MOD from CWM, and restart your phone.
Please be aware that the phone doesn't like to start up for the first time after you flash this mod, you will get stuck at the bootloader screen (not sure why). This is easily overcome by pressing and holding your power button for a hard reset (Hold it for about 10 to 15 seconds. You will feel it vibrate). It should then get past the boot screen. If that did not get you past the boot screen, restore your nandroid backup and try again. If the problem still persists. Post a message and I'll see if I can help you out
S-Voice (like apple's SIRI)
Here is a CWM flashable zip that will install the Galaxy S4's S-Voice onto your SGH-I757M. S-Voice is Samsung's SIRI clone. It seems to work fairly well so far. Just a little slow at times. Just download this zip to your sdcard, make a nandroid backup, and flash this zip. This will install S-Voice on your device. (It may force close on you a couple of times when you first open it up. Just keep opening it up until the force closes stop).
SGH-I757M-SVoice-MOD (62.4MB)
Thanks to @cabetoguerra for finding this leaked apk. Other files and libs were gathered by me and mostly found from a zip file created by xda member zoot1.
FAQ
Q. After I flash the Rom, I get FC's (force closes) like crazy, and I'm gonna pull my hair out!
A. If you did not expressly follow the instructions above, go back and read them. You must format the system, cache and data partitions manually in addition to the regular method.
If you did read and follow the instructions and are still getting FC's. Try the whole process over again and flash the Rom twice just to make sure it fully flashed and all the scripts ran successfully.
Thanks to @4runner10 for actually having to try this
Q. I'm on a Telus network and I get no data connection.
A. Check out this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987678 for Telus APN settings as they differ from Bell APN settings.
Thanks to @rukusx7 for the tip

yeah, i always used to flash the rom twice but didn't bother this time. might want to mod the instructions! that did the trick, i also wiped the dalvik after the rom and modem were flashed. no idea if that would make a diff tho!
seems pretty smooth during setup!

I think it might have to do with the new partition and it's weird symlinks. I'll look into moving these files back into the /system/app folder. Hopefully that will help fix the fc's

[HOWTO][LP][Xposed]Xposed framework on YotaPhone 2 LP

NOTE:
This post is/was only relevant for users of the original modded stock recovery for YP2. For the newer & better TWRP recovery for YotaPhone 2 installing unsigned packages such as Xposed framework is not an issue.
Please note that the Xposed version below is outdated, Xposed alpha 4 is available. See Xposed for Lollipop thread.
Old post content:
Not exactly a proper development thread, but posting it here anyway because of the relation with the modded recovery, ad the slightly technical angle.
Xposed framework for Lollipop allows you to install modules that tweak/change many aspects of Android. It's pretty powerful as it can hook into existing software and change it's functionality. The version referred to in this post is an alpha version.
Therefore:
Warning: I recommend you don't install this unless you're a nerd. It's not yet stable, and may cause trouble (such as boot-loops).
Also: by the time you read this there may be newer versions, so read the Xposed thread for updates.
Background
The modded recovery image allows to install software signed by either Yota Devices (such as ota update zips) or signed with testkeys, but it does not allow to flash UNsigned zips. Many flashable zips are signed with testkeys (like SuperSU) but rovo89's Xposed flashable zip for LP in the current 20150430 version are unsigned, so we can't flash them as-is.
Flashing it anyway:
There's two ways: the harder and slightly educational way (useful for e.g. when new Xposed versions are released) and the lazy but convenient way.
1) Signing the Xposed framework zip yourself:
You need:
- signapk.jar plus test key and certificate
Get SignApk.jar from somewhere (build it from AOSP source, or download a zip from this thread (I used zipaligner 1.2, linux). This zip contains other stuff, but we need testkey.pk8, testkey.x509.pem and signapk.jar
- Xposed framework zip for LP 5.0 (xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip) from the official thread from here
- java environment (JDK or JRE)
To sign the file put all files in one dir (including xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip) and run:
Code:
java -jar signapk.jar -w testkey.x509.pem testkey.pk8 xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430_signed.zip
You just created xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430_signed.zip that you can flash.
2) Using a pre-Signed zipfile:
I attached a testkey-signed version of rovo89's file xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip to this post for convenience, so you can skip the steps above.
Steps to install the Xposed framework for LP
1) put device in fastboot/download mode and boot the modded recovery image (see recovery thread)
2) choose "apply update from ADB" from recovery menu
Code:
adb sideload <yourpath>/xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430_signed.zip
3) reboot
4) choose allow 'unknown sources' in settings->security
5) copy the file XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha2.apk to your phone (or scan the QR code on the Xposed page to download this file to your phone directly.
6) use a file manager (like ES File Explorer, or the built-in Cabinet) to browse to and open XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha2.apk and install it.
Now you can download Xposed modules through the Xposed Installer app. I tried GravityBox [LP] (make sure you select the right version!) to change the launcher grid to 5x5 instead of 4x4. After a reboot that worked. I'm not saying that using GravityBox is safe, they warn that it may cause trouble with non-standard ROM's (such as ours).
Please not that I can't/won't provide any support for Xposed itself, please see the relevant Xposed threads for that.

I used xposed-v68-sdk21-arm.zip just two days ago, and signed it myself according to the instructions.
It seems to play well, at least for two days
I just booted TWRP and sideloaded it, I never flashed the TWRP.
Had a little mess getting the driver to install in windows, when TWRP sideloads, it had a new identity in the device manager and I was unable to make accept the drivers I had. So I made a little manual edit in the .inf file from the yotaphone flashtool package, and then was able to load the driver needed. Google was my friend, but I can paste the change here later if someone want it.
Those who are using xposed do you notice any long freeze on the epd and reboots.

Nope. I am running latest Xposed framework with gravitybox and youtube adaway. No crashes or freezes, but the battery life does fluctuate quite a bit sometimes. But I think that that is because of Lollipop.
No issues with xposed here either. Running alpha4 I believe.
Installed but not active.. That's what i get! Why is thaT?
Thanks!
I signed the last version of xposed using the method in the first post, and flashed (file attached) using TWRP. no issues so far.
no need to say, make sure you backup first!

SOLVED. Stock rom (4.4.3 HK) flashed with Yota Flasher. After this everything went smoothly.
Oficial Xposed running with no problems, well just one named Lollipop

The same with me, Lollipop because using the EPD is so much better, otherwise I would happily be on KitKat, battery life on Lollipop is awfull, I also have the Xposed installed the official one with no problems, running some Modules to prevent battery from draining as much as possible in this Google Sucking Lollipop...

[ROOT][ROM] Marshmallow GPE (wp_mod) (s2s_mod) (All variants)

Marshmallow root has been much more difficult than simply flash a zip in recovery, because it also requires a modified boot image to work.
I've done all the work for you, this root is achieved with SELinux enforced using Chainfire's method.
The original RUU/Stock rom is here.
In this post you can find the followings:
Aroma Stock Rom
Root Info
GPE Marshmallow on All Models
Disable S-ON System Write Protection
Sweep to sleep module
FAQ
Aroma Stock Rom (All models support with selectable root)
Simplest way to dive in GPE Marshmallow, the installer will guide you to the right direction.
If you want root, take a look at the next section for some info about root methods.
Choose your model in the installer, it also includes proper support for Sprint and Verizon device,
This will NOT convert your device into GPE!! It only flashes a rom.
Aroma Version Stock GPE
Mega Link

Important!! If you choose systemless root, please choose "Do not install SuperSU" when reboot in TWRP, because TWRP isn't updated to detect this new method. If you choose to install SuperSU within TWRP you'll get stuck in boot loop.
Root Info
In Marshmallow, Chainfire gave us with two rooting methods include:
The traditional root in system, which breaks OTA functionality.
(It's more stable now)
New "systemless" approach, which means the root stuffs are only in DATA and BOOT, the system will stay intact and it will accept OTAs.
(Note that this method is still in beta stage according to CF)
If you already downloaded the GPE Marshmallow stock rom and you want root, this is where you'd be interested with.
(Non-GSM device should now jump to next section)
Choose your preferred root method above, and follow the correspond instructions below.
Instructions:
Traditional:
Flash m8-mmgpe-su-boot.zip in attachment with TWRP
Flash SuperSU 2.52
Systemless:
Be sure you haven't used any other root method(like the traditional one above), if you've rooted with other methods, please re-flash your system back to pure stock
Flash m8-mmgpe-su-boot-systemless.zip in attachment with TWRP
Download SuperSU-v2.56-20151030013730.zip in this thread, and flash it through TWRP
Important!! Please choose "Do not install SuperSU" when reboot in TWRP, because TWRP isn't updated to detect this new method. If you choose to install SuperSU within TWRP you'll get stuck in bootloop.
GPE Marshmallow on All Models
Not an International/GSM device and still want some Marshmallow love? This is where you'd be interested with.
Simplest way is flash the pre-packed rom above, but if you already downloaded the stock rom and don't want to re-download, then look below.
GPE MM on all models is possible because it uses the Sense all-model dtb image, thanks to sun_dream for his work!!
Choose your preferred root method above, and follow the correspond instructions below.
Instructions:
Traditional:
Flash m8_AIO-mmgpe-su-boot.zip in attachment with TWRP
Flash SuperSU 2.52
Systemless:
Be sure you haven't used any other root method(like the traditional one above), if you've rooted with other methods, please re-flash your system back to pure stock
Flash m8_AIO-mmgpe-su-boot-systemless.zip in attachment with TWRP
Download SuperSU-v2.56-20151030013730.zip in this thread, and flash it through TWRP
Important!! Please choose "Do not install SuperSU" when reboot in TWRP, because TWRP isn't updated to detect this new method. If you choose to install SuperSU within TWRP you'll get stuck in bootloop.
Disable S-ON System Write Protection
After you rooted, you might find out that your system partition is locked up, this is because of HTC's system write protection on S-ON devices, and here is a handy mod for you to bypass it. Original mod by flar2, I modified it to work on MM GPE.
Instructions:
You have to use the traditional root method above to make this work!!
Flash m8-mmgpe-wp_mod.zip in attachment
Sweep to Sleep module
A handy mod to turn of the screen by swiping the bottom of the screen. Original mod by flar2, I modified it to work on MM GPE.
Instructions:
This will flash files to system, there is no point in using systemless method, it ot should be OK
Flash m8-mmgpe-s2s_mod.zip in attachment
FAQ
Q: After choosing full wipe, my contents in internal storage are all gone!!
A: No, it's not. It's a new behavior of Marshmallow. After each clean flash, it will move all previous files in /sdcard into /sdcard/0. You can just move them back to the proper locations.
Q: I cannot install Busybox in system / I cannot use adaway !!
A: Flash wp_mod.
Q: I used systemless root and wanted to keep my system partition intact, how do I install Busybox?
A: Download Busybox Pro, type /su/bin as the installation path for busybox. You cannot do it using the free version, unfortunately.
Q: **** app cannot access external SDcard!!
A: Look at this explanation:
Since Kitkat(2 years ago man), we don't have direct external storage write permission. Google consider it insecure, so they implemented this feature. The reason why you can access external SDcard easily before is because most roms on XDA already contains a hack in /system/etc/permissions/platform.xml. You should not rely on this hack forever, please take a look below.
In lollipop and after, Google provided a much secure and better way to grant external storage access to third party apps, first of all take a look at this article for details:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/1...s-automatic-mediastore-and-improves-security/
So instead of using the old platform.xml hack in the old Kitkat days, adopt yourself with this new behavior of Android!! If a certain app cannot access SDcard, ASK THE DEVELOPER to add support for this API!!
Many apps already have support for this API. I'll take Titanium Backup for example, as lots of you cannot find the way to use it on externals SD. In Menu>>Preferences>>Backup Location, you can choose Document Provider on top of the detect button.
In the provider, open the menu on the top right corner and select "Show SDcard", then you'll see External Storage in the left side. Select external SDcard in the document provider and press the button on the bottom, the app will then be granted access to the whole external storage. You can then create a new folder in TiBack and select it as your backup location.
Other apps also follows the instructions above, you just have to manually set up the folder where the app can access, in the case which most of us would love to give access to the whole SDcard, I set the location to the root of external storage. Each app has independent permission, so you have to manually grant each app you wish to access external storage.
Q: I want OTA, what should I do?
A: Look at the following info
To accept OTA updates, you need the following:
Your MID should be 0P6B17000
Your CID should be GOOGL001
You have to fully convert to GPE
You have to keep system partition untouched
You have to have GPE stock recovery
So before anything, if you want to accept OTA, you have to change MID, CID, and convert to GPE. The tricky part is the system partition and the recovery. The easiest way is when the OTA comes, flash the stock rom again without root, flash GPE stock recovery through fastboot, then apply OTA. But if you like to go the hardcore way, here comes a tutorial:
fastboot flash systemless_boot.img
fastboot boot TWRP.img(so that you can use TWRP but you didn't actually flash it)
Flash systemless SuperSU
By doing so you can accept OTA at anytime.
Q: Are there any mods around?
A: Because of the difficulty of file based flashing, modded GPE MM might take a while to appear.
You can use Xposed Framework, as it now officially support Marshmallow.

Try copy a random file to system (or remove an system app you don't like) using root explorer and reboot and see if it sticks. I haven't used v4a for years, and I'm not sure if it is something about selinux or other possible reasons.
Also I'm not sure if the su.d script is executing correctly(because stock rom lack init.d support I tried su.d), try this also:
First reboot the device, before doing any modifications to system open terminal on the phone and type:
su
insmod /system/lib/modules/wp_mod.ko
then do the system modification tests.
Thanks a lot!!

Doing thing blindly without testing is always a challenge
I am loosing htc gestures like double tap to wake after sometime
Have to disable and then re enable it to get it working
Just posting to say that the Systemless Root method worked great for me. Able to successfully modify /System files and folders (verified changes were still there after reboot), restored some apps, Messages, and Call Log using Titanium, and Android Pay is still working after rooting.
Thanks JW!
Is there any way to flash TWRP without PC if you don't have root...??
Well, whatever I try, V4A keeps asking for drivers. I have selinux permissive (selinux mode changer app) and flashed the wp_mod from here. Adaway and other changes to the system partition stick. Any ideas?

Flashify. Play store.
Or, I have one you can just put on SD card and rename 0p6bimg. It's 2.8.7.0

RRO layers - Systemless root (NOT WORKING)

Okay so I have tried all the options on their development page on G+ but there seems to be a lot of arrogance from the devs about users with issues and not doing research even though following the instructions leads to nothing.
- Im rooted via CF's systemless root method
- I have TWRP 2.8.7.2 installed and working
- Busybox is installed in /system/xbin
- I have the correct Vendor image for my device
- Stock ROM 6.0.1
I use busy box on a rail to check its correctly installed and double check with a file explorer but still no themes will apply.
EDIT : Solved it - DON'T USE BUSYBOX ON RAILS ! for some reason it does not work with Layers correctly!
1. Uninstall any busy box installs
2. Reboot
3. Install busybox app from the play store and select /system/binx as the install location
4. Reboot
5. Profit
Anyone have any ideas to get this working ?
I'll give it a try had nothing but issues trying to use layers, currently got busybox on rails installed but as you've mentioned can't get it working, I'll try as you've suggested thanks

Thank you so much for discovering this, I was going crazy why I couldn't create the overlay folder under vendor, this is the solution, to everyone who sees this, don't listen to whoever says busybox on rails is the way to go...
If you have supersu 2.65 and install busybox to /su/xbin then it will also work.
I have superuser 2.65 and following your instructions finally have layers working, thanks dude

For me with su 2.65 and busybox on rails, things are working. However, not as expected. Sometime even I change some overlay it won't apply. Sometime the dialer and other fonts won't be visible at all. May be I should try ur method. Thanks.

This method will defeat the purpose of systemless root though, right? So Android Pay and Good for Enterprise will cease to work because /system had been edited?

[V4A] Viper4Android I/O Error (Driver Installation Failure) [FIX]

Hey everyone! I seem to have found put together 3 methods of installing/bypassing the V4A App on android. These methods include:
Regular Installation, and 2 Error bypasses/fixes.
If you get the error "superuser manager doesn't allow app to access su or you don't have root at all. fix this to use this selinuxmodechanger!", then you've come to the right place.
Requirements: ROOT, (maybe) TWRP (or anything you can flash the zip onto your phone with. With this tutorial I'll be using TWRP.)
If you don't have TWRP, here's the link to that \\ https://twrp.me/Devices/
Type in/select your device, click download, and flash it to your phone.
====================================================================================
Regular installation:
1.) Download V4A from Google Play Store \\ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vipercn.viper4android_v2_fx&hl=en
2.) Open, and grant root permission.
3.) Install drivers, and reboot phone. DONE!
==================================================================================================
V4A SuperSU Manager Error:
1.) Download V4A from Google Play Store (the newest one) \\ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vipercn.viper4android_v2_fx&hl=en
Open it, grant permissions, click "install drivers" <- just get through the driver menu. This is a troubleshoot test. If it fails, keep going on with the tutorial. If not, You're A-Okay.
2.) Download V4A Flashable ZIP from here \\ https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By-5wpCgi7OHMjFZRU1PYXljbDQ/view
Drag and drop from your computer onto your phone in your "Downloads" folder.
3.) Open TWRP and click "Install" and navigate to your "Downloads" folder where you Installed the V4A Flashable ZIP (Viper4AndroidMM_v2.4.0.1.zip)
Install the ZIP in TWRP, and reboot.
4.) Open your apps/app menu, navigate to the new (it's an older version, but it's newly installed) V4A. It should be a purple logo instead of a blue logo. At this point in the tutorial, you should have both the Google Play Store APK, and the TWRP Flashed APK. Open the PURPLE V4A, and Install drivers now.
5.) Reboot phone, go to the NEW (blue logo) V4A, and install drivers on that one too.
The rest is clean-up. You may now delete the older version of V4A (purple logo).
========================================================
Bypass/fix #2, The SELinuxModeChanger issue:
1.) Download V4A (newest version) from \\ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vipercn.viper4android_v2_fx&hl=en
2.) (Grant root access) Attempt to install drivers. If this succeeds, then Idk why you're still here.
3.) Download SELinuxModeChanger APK from \\ http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=12506
4.) Open it, grant root access, and click "Permissive".
5.) Re-boot phone, and open V4A when done.
6.) Install drivers!

Thanks
I had the Viper.apk from their website and the Google play version loaded also and I was getting the I/O error when trying to load the driver and the Google Play version didn't work at all. I did try to load SuperSU and busybox before attempting to load the driver again and it still didn't work. I don't know about permissive kernel, I'm running Resurrection ROM on a Rooted Note 3. The way I got this to work was to uninstalled the V4A Viper APK version that I had retrieved and loaded from their website. Next I booted into TWRP recovery and installed the V4A Flashable ZIP from the link that I found here. Next I ran the flashed version and granted SU permissions when asked during the install driver process. The driver finally loaded and bingo it works now.

When I install drivers for ViPER4Android FX I get "Driver installed, please reboot your device." and when I reboot, I'm asked to install drivers again. Did anyone figure out how to successfully install these drivers? I saw fixed around the forum, but they don't seem to work for me.
