Because nobody reply, I took the chance and download the firmware. Unfortunately THIS IS EU version firmware!
So if you have stock, locked bootloader MEA Mate 8 phone (came with L29C185B103 firmware) don't waste your time downloading this as it will not compatible. Except off course you unlock bootloader and flash it with fastboot.
I just hope anyone upload any stock firmware provide the information of the firmware too.

Upgrading to EMUI 4.0 via HiSuite ROM Installing option

Hello XDA!
My current build number is C636B170 and i want to install C432B550 Marshmallow update. I tried the "Local Update" option but it fails everytime.
The ROM Flashing option in HiSuite, can i install the update with that option? I would be happy if someone gave me an answer for my problem.
Thanks
You can't, either you wait for an official update for your Custc or you change your Custc (c636) to (c432) by
First: unlocking your bootloader
Second: download (c432b052) firmware and flash it.
Then download the b170 and local update it then you can download and update to b550
All the tutorial can be found in xda by little search

I flashed a ROM which is based to C432B052 but it kinda made my sim unusable for that ROM. And i was unable to local update either.
I want to know
1. A site where i can download official firmware for my phone
2. How to properly install it with fastboot (i can do it but i feel like i am missing something very important)
Thanks

you may lose your imei after flashing b052 but you will be able to restore it after updating to b170
btw your phone is dual sim or single sim ? from the build number you gave before it should be a dual sim, if it is then continue.
after flashing b052 download b170 and extract it then take the update.app and make a folder in the root of your device named (dload) and put it there. you should find the update in the local update.

Upgrade Huawei P8 Lite to Marshmallow (ALE-L21)

(I'm new to this) So, I bought a P8Lite, and I have no problems with it, but it comes with Android 5.1. I'm in Greece and everywhere in this forum and elsewhere people seem to have at least Android 6, EMUI 4.x and hoping for Nougat.
I have not gotten any Marshmallow update, and on Huawei's official firmware site, checking for the ALE-L21, the closest thing to Marshmallow is a rollback package to Android 5.
What should I do?
Thanks
what is your build number? Since you're on Greece, you must have ALE-L21c432bxxx. If the value of xxx equals to 170 or 188 then you are eligible to get Marshmallow update. If, by any chance you're not getting it and you're already above b170 then i request you to follow this link

It's been a while, but yeah, I downloaded b170 from the site and tried local update with its update.app. I get "Software install failed". What should I do? Should I try flashing b560 or something? The mega thread says I should have b170 and above (204 > 170)
(Late) UPDATE for anyone that might stumble upon this: Just local update with B560 and OTA to the latest

you can't install MM from a certain LP builds.
for example B186 doesen't get MM
I'll make it easier for u.
unlock your bootloader, download the MM latest firmware (update.app)
extract the system.img, boot.img, cust.img, and recovery.img.
flash it via fastboot (i.e "fastboot flash system system.img e.t.c)
and DONE! your p8 lite has MM

Extract the files...
Then put the update.app file in folder named dload and copy that to your local storage..
After that, power off your device and then hold vol+, vol-and power key for atleast 10 seconds..
Then, the phone should start in installation mode..
Note: Check the update.app file size.. If its gratee than 2GB them the above process should work. If its less than you can do it by OTA...

amangeek, being a rooted phone, I don't think that is a wise choice. Unroot first, & then perhaps yes.
----------------------
Anyway RautMike, if you have done as above & everything is fine - well, great.
If you haven't attempted yet, do as advised in these threads instead - similar situations, so apply the same principle:
How to upgrade Huawei P8 lite [rooted+twrp]
[P8Lite] Twrp + official update
I couldn't find the full version of C432B188 firmware to download, which is required to extract the recovery file(s) needed. So, if you cannot either, you can extract the necessary file(s) from B170 (one firmware before) - the full stock rom for B170 can be downloaded from here directly via Huawei's servers.

Did you not read the threads I posted? Just follow them - no TWRP needs to be used in those methods.
Doing it that way you'll lose root, so after updating to Marshmallow you will need to re-root by reinstalling TWRP (for Marshmallow) & SuperSu: TUTORIAL - Huawei P8 Lite Android 6.0 Marshmallow B574 Root

Yes, you're right - I forgot about that!
You can get it from here perhaps: Install TWRP Recovery, Backup Full System, Android Rooting and Recovery Back to Stock (works on both Android 5/6 + L21/L23 models)
If that doesn't work, a 'forced' update does apparently (could be risky though, so make a full nandroid backup with TWRP before attempting): [INTERESTING] Updating system while rooted
Also, according to the op, "When you install update by this method, you lose TWRP, root access and all what you have flashed by TWRP."
Alright, thanks, before i flash the stock recovery, how should i make an backup? I already have one of system that i made with twrp, is that enough?
Oh, anyways, all good Thank you very much, i just flashed the stock recovery with no problems, so happy lol, thanks again!

I have a p10-lite dual sim WAS-LX1A.
I am currently on build WAS-LX1AC185B120, that firmware is from middle east region. I have Twrp installed and Rooted.
But now i want to get back to the stock so i can get official OTA Updates, BUT I am unable to find that firmware on internet, instead
i got one on firmware finder app which is WAS-LX1AC185B174, this firmware is also from middle east but its updated, so i was just asking Can I extract recovery from this New version firmware (B174) and flash it on older firmware (B120). Is there any chance? if yes then what is the appropriate process for this? and also will the phone be unrooted or not?
Your replies are most welcome.
thank you.
(Sorry for Bad English).
You can extract any recovery with HuaweiiUpdateExtractor from any FULL-OTA
I too have the lx1a and just managed to flash stock. I tried numerous filmware files using filmware finder but none worked for me. In the link below is where I got the filmware that worked first time I used the WAS-L21A and everything is working great!

Forgot to say, on the first boot it booted to erecoveey and said something is badly damaged! However I just rebooted and it booted fine.

Hmm thanks. What you did? Did you flashed complete firmware or just the recovery.img file?

You need stock recovery to be able to flash stock filmware.
Just do what Harlock1978 said then flash the recovery via adb, then you can flash the stock filmware.
PM me if you need any more help.

Maybe that can work? I can only tell you what worked for me.
All you need is stock recovery flashed and the download from the link above.
In the download copy the 'dload' folder to the root of your sd card. Then just force update and it should flash the stock filmware.
Extract stock recovery flash it via fastboot and use Service rom on link already mentioned and dload method with three buttons for full recovery. On that way your phone will be locked, unrooted, updated, brand new same as from store ?

If you have the same version which is listed in service roms, absolutely it doesn't important place where you live. I suppose it's version was lx1(a)C185 for middle east and all files for c185 are is suitable for your Country too. I mean oeminfo and sevice rom with mark c185.
Regards

Sir can you explain dload with three buttons method?
Oeminfo bricked?
Hi, I have bricked my phone. I can flash a ROM as an example no I have flashed the Elite ROM v7.7 but the oeminfo is bricked. Because the build number says: elemental als the IMEI numbers are missing so it looks strange. My problem is I do not know my build number and I have no backup. So I know that my phone is a WAS-LX1 with 32GB ROM and 3GB RAM. And I am from Europe/Austria.
Can I use that Files here to fix the phone?
many thanks
