Spice Dream Uno Mi-498H boot issue with SD card formatted as Internal Storage - Spice Dream Uno

Hello Everyone,
I have Spice Dream Uno Mi-498H upgraded to Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 (NOT rooted); Build number MMB29O. I am using Strontium Nitro 16Gb Class 10 MicroSDHC UHS-1 and it is formatted as Internal Storage after Marshmallow update. Also due to the low internal memory, I have moved all possible apps to thus formatted SD card.
Now the problem is after Marshmallow and movement of apps from internal memory to SD card formatted as Internal Storage, I am experiencing issues in booting this device. Whenever I boot (manually or automatically for no reason sometimes) it takes 1-4 hours to boot . NOT KIDDING. Let me clear myself on that, it boots and shows home screen BUT does not allow me to use ANY app. If I try to open any app, it just freezes. Then I have to remove the battery and restart the device and wait for another 1-4 hours :crying:.
Now as an additional info, I don't see any issue in booting this device if I remove SD card. In such instances, it boots instantly and allow me to use any app installed on the device like Youtube, Google Maps, Google Drive etc..
I am experiencing the above mentioned boot issue (or should I say boot delay?) each time the device is booted / restarted having SD card inserted (remember SD card is formatted as Internal Storage).
Could anyone advise me on this issue I am experiencing? Or do you think it has anything to do with SD card?
Thanks,
Rajesh

[Q] SD Card Not Recognized After Reboot

Hi All,
I just installed XBmod-Yuki with SD card inserted. My sdcard is a Transcend 8GB Class 6, which I saw reports of success.
At first glance the SD card seems supported, 7GB free space reported. I even managed to sync my songs to it.
But then when I long press on the red power-off button and reboot the phone, a message appears like "SD Card not detected"...
The only choice I have is Emergency call or Turn Off. I need to hard reset to pass this dialog, after which my sdcard is recognized again but of course all my data is lost. Reboot again, and sdcard is gone!
I managed to upgrade to 7.0.7403 without sdcard inserted. But I can't go further and the problem remains.
Does anybody have a suggestion?
Thanks.
Sorry guys, it was because of the SD card. I just bought a Sandisk 8 GB Class 4 (SDSDQM-008G-B35N) and it works now even after rebooting.

Emergency help critical lollipop sd card bug

So i started using a 64GB sd card, transfered about 11GB of app data pver, and began filling more. All of a sudden android OS usage went skyrocketing, and the storage menu reports the internal memory as being 120% full (i.e. impossible). Backed up sd card and reformatted, no luck. Issue does not persist when sd card is unmounted.

sd card "appears to be slow" with a card I know is not slow...

hi all, so I had 6.0 stock on my moto while using a Lexar MicroSDXC 633x 128GB formatted as internal storage and all was well with the world.
I've since unlocked my bootloader, wiped, and rooted/xposed.
Now when i first reformatted my sd card, Android OS gave me a "your sd card appears to be slow" message. I ignored it, but now I'm seeing problems related to the sd card. for example: titanium backup was one the apps the system moved to the sd card, and it reboots on launch rarely. other apps installed on the sd card have uninstalled themselves completely after a reboot....very weird.
I've already moved my apps off the sd card and reformatted it back to portable storage with the hope that I can pull it and run a chkdsk on it and try again, but wondering if anyone else has any ideas...thanks!

SD card damaged

Hi everyone,
i have a G900F running on the current version of the ALEXNDR Rom, rooted, Knox 0x1, Android 6.0.1.
I have my SD card formatted as (mixed) adoptable storage (via adb), so I have 50% of space as SD card memory, 50% as adoptable storage.
And now for the problem: The SD card is repeatedly shown as "damaged". As soon as I put it into my PC, it'll work without any problems, but the SGS5 will work for quite a time with it, and then suddenly shows it as damaged and will not mount it unless you format it. It usually happens when a larger amount of data is written to the card.
So I thought that the card might really be damaged (was an old and small and slow one) and went vor a SanDisk Extreme 64GB card - same thing here. Then I read about some problems with Samsung devices and SanDisk cards (may the be true or not, I dont know) and swapped it for a Samsung 32 GB Pro SD card - same thing here.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how to stop it? Or will the adoptable storage just not work?
In addition: I could reproduce this when I was downloading Videos to the SD card from Amazon Prime Video for offline use. Seems that a) this is a large amount of data and b) split into thousands of small files. I dont know if its the number of files or the amount of data, but when I deleted the folder on my PC and put the card back into the phone, it suddenly worked perfectly again. Any ideas on this?
Hey there how are you?
I recently have had an issue with my samsung 128 sd card that was formated in a 50/50 mix from adb too.
As the sd card was formatted in exfat I posted an issue on the exfat home page. https://github.com/relan/exfat/issues/49 I was provided with advice on my mac on how to reformat it using the dd command. This was the only command that I came across which gave me an input output error indicating a hardware issue on the sd card.
I have since purchased a new sd card. I'm thinking of formatting it as either an ext4 format or f2fd format to see whether this makes an impact of its longevity.
Hope this helps.

Nokia 5: SD Card as Internal Storage

Hi there,
I have installed SD Card in Nokia 5 and selected as "internal storage" and moved as many apps as possible in SD card. But when I tried to access SD Card through builtin file explorer "Files" and self installed "ASUS File Manager", the card is not visible. I have connected phone with laptop, it also do not show the card. It only show 16 GB of mobile storage. I am unable to copy any data in the card. Not even all the apps can be moved to card as well.
Is there any way, I can access SD Card for normal data storage and movement while SD Card is selected as Internal Storage. Any expertise please?
Hi bro,
Same thing for me, and I have made a Software Reset, so I lost the decryption key for SD, so my 16GB SanDisk SD card can't be shown on any devices or PC (Running Windows or Linux). My advice, is to format the SD as media device and move what you want.
Nokia definitely has a problem with this feature, I, tried to format my 32GB Transcend 300X card as internal and it stucked and rebooted itself, leaving me with an unusable card. I bought a new one and set it as a portable. Nokia recommends card with read speed above 80mb/s, so I got one with 95mb/s but you can still feel the lag sometimes...

Hi, My SD card on Nokia 5 suddenly stooped being recognized one day and all my apps and data was lost. I switched off the phone and reinserted the card, but no use. Then I took the card for recovery with a data recovery company. They called and told me that all they can see on my SD card is garbage and it could be encrypted or its logical drive could have completely been wiped. I had encrypted my phone but I haven't encrypted my card. Any pointers on what should I do next? The data is very precious to me and I need to recover it.

Same situation same SD Card here.
After throwing away the unusable card I am using a Trancsend 64GiB card as internal. The phone takes a whole lot of time to properly boot the SD Card after rebooting. Also sometimes the phone says SD Card as corrupted then everyone will choose to reboot but after rebooting the phone temporarily dies. No command, no charging animation (temporarily brick), I faced this twice. After an hour I plugged it to charger again then it showed up that it's still alive...
