Help! Phone switches off when speaker plays audio/ No Signal/No USB detection - Zenfone 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I use ASUS Zenfone 5 (A501CG); Firmware : 3.24.40.78; Android 5.0.
I'd like start by pointing out that my Zenfone began to dysfunction sequentially(part by part) over a period of time. All the problems did not occur at the same time.
- Currently, both the SIM slots are not working.
- USB rarely detects the phone.
- Phone turns off when ever an audio is played.
- Battery is discharging very fast.
Few weeks before the phone broke down, i noticed that the LED indicator wouldn't go off even after i'd plug out the charger. I felt its an update issue or something.
One day I set an Alarm for 7 A.M. That morning at 7 A.M the phone made a loud beep and it switched off. It followed the entire day(until now). Whenever i'd get a call the phone would switch off. Even a message beep would turn the phone off. So i kept the phone in silent mode. Any audio from the speaker would result in the phone switching off. However audio over earphones had no problem.
Later that evening SIM card slot 1 stopped working. SIM slot 2 was working fine.
Next day i tried connecting my phone with the PC via USB , but it wouldn't detect the phone. I tried updating the PC drivers and what not but nothing helped. Following evening SIM card slot 2 stopped working as well. After lot of hard work somehow the phone was detected. Not very often, but sometimes the PC detects the phone.
Phone takes lot of time charging, and discharges quickly.
Please note : All the problems occurred one after the other as i mentioned (sequentially).
Could you please tell me what could be the core problem? Is it the chip set?
I'll visit the service center, but i'd like to know what could possibly be wrong before i hand them the phone.

[Q] Nexus 4 turns off when unplugged with plenty of battery remaining

I was recently on vacation taking a "Photo Sphere" with my Nexus 4 and suddenly my phone just turned off. It didn't power down, it just suddenly was off. I felt the back of my phone and it was particularly hot right in the center of the phone. Since that event, my phone is highly unreliable when unplugged and will continue to immediately turn off when I either try to use the phone's camera, or sometimes: try to make a phone call, watch a video, and other random things. After the phone has powered off, it gets stuck in a reboot loop. The phone is bootable and works reliably when it is plugged in. When I am able to successfully reboot the phone, when plugged in, I can see that the battery has plenty of charge remaining. The phone will work for hours or minutes after it has been unplugged as long as I am doing very little with it.
Things I have tried so far have been rebooting into safe mode and formatting my phone with the stock Android 4.4.2 image. Both of these things have not worked out.
I'm trying to determine if I need a new phone if there is something else. Is there anything that would be indicated by a crash log and if so, how would I access that log.
Think it is a hardware issue
I can't help but think that this is a hardware issue. So, I just bought a new HTC One (M8). It is a fantastic phone. I am going to keep my glitchy Nexus 4 as a development/test device.

[Q] (Q) htc windows phone 8s won't start or charge

Last week I was on my htc windows phone 8s and my applications weren't working so I decided to turn him off and on so he would work (I did this a few times before and after that everything was working) but this time he didn't turn on. I put him on a charger but there was no response nor the LED light. I connected him to the laptop using usb cable but the laptop didn't recognize it but i could hear sound of connection and also in device manager I could see some files. I left him that night on the charger and in the morning everything was the same. It has been a week and still nothing; few times when I put him on a charger a short LED light appeared and the phones vibrates and then nothing. I tried pressing the volume buttons but he would only vibrate one time and then again nothing. Please, please tell me something can be done

Help! My Galaxy Note 3 N9005 Won't Turn On

Hi Everyone! I have a galaxy note 3 SM N9005 32GB. I've started facing a very weird problem recently that I cannot find described anywhere in quite the way I'm experiencing it.. My note 3 powered off by itself after running out of charge last night. Ever since then, the only thing that happens when I plug it in to charge is that the screen stays black and the phone only vibrates once. No charging LED indicator, nothing on the screen at all, just a black screen like when the phone is off. In order to get it to vibrate again, I have to do a power drain before connecting it back to a charger. There's nothing on the screen at all. Can't boot into recovery or download modes and it's not detected by a computer. Have tried multiple cables (USB 3.0 and 2) and have 2 batteries which were working fine till this happened.
Any idea of what's going on? And if I can back up any data from it like contacts and messages? Thankfully, I had transferred almost every app I could to the micro SD card (128GB Sandisk) and was able to at least recover my notes from colornote, but I digress. What is going on in my phone?
Additional info - the battery is probably still charging when I plug it in. I think this because the phone and the battery warm up after being plugged in for a little while just like they used to when the phone was working.
Even more additional info - I don't know if this is relevant, but I recently upgraded to the most recent OS version available. I think It's a 5.0 or something but I can't remember exactly. Also, the front camera stopped working some time after the upgrade. And 2 days before this, 2 apps refused to update for some reason. I don't know if this could be related.
TL;DR - Note 3 N9005 ran out of charge and is now almost dead with black screen and no LED but vibrates only once after plugging in or pushing the power button. To get it to vibrate again, a power drain needs to be done. The battery is still charging because it gets warm when plugged in.
I too had the same problem but when I connected the phone it would not even vibrate like completely dead.
Maybe try these:-
1)Connect it to the pc of it detects it then recovery would be easy.
2)Connect the charger properly.
3)remove battery for like 30 minutes and try the steps 1 and 2 again.
4) If still not working go to the dealer cause I had to go to him too. ?

I bought it off of amazon, any suggestions in such a case? Besides trying to send it back, I mean. Anything or tool I can try? I don't mind if it gets technical. Need to get my app data off the internal memory.
Though mine started with a different problem than yours, since today it seems like the problem is same like yours. Phone's display is totally black, yet I can go to download mode (cause phone is detected by Odin), I flashed the latest stock ROM of UK too, but now there is no change anyway. I want to be practical and think that this is a display problem, if not I will be more than happy. I have to send the phone to a local technician I know, lets see.
The only think I believe you can do is wait, for maybe 6-7 hours or so, with the battery detached, and then insert it back and see whether its booting with display on or not, if not its more likely a hardware issue, display possibly.

Can't turn on the brand new YD206

Hello,
I received the YotaPhone 2 (YD206) today.
The box was sealed.
When I tried to turn on the phone, it didn't start. I thought it was empty so I put in on charger for 2 hrs.
After that I tried again , but still nothing happened -- i was holding power button multiple times, as long as 5 minutes at the time, but there was simply no response -- no vibration, no sound, screen remains black (not turned on), anything at all.
I tried different chargers as well (Xiaomi and Samsung one) -- they weren't working with this phone either.
When I connect phone to a PC, I just hear sound that something is connected (I saw installing drivers notice first time I connected it), but nothing happens at all. I don't see the phone in my computer or anywhere else.
Is there way I can fix this somehow? What else can I try?
Thanks!
You can try unlocking the bands like described here.
Not sure it will help but you can at least try.

Sounds like the phone is defect. The only thing I can think of is that it somehow freezed up and you will need to let the battery drain so all power is off the phone and then try to recharge it. Draining the phone completly without screen use can take up to 7 days.
I finally managed to turn it on,by keeping it on charger for whole day and night and after a couple of attempts it was on.
I thought battery voltage was pretty low which prevented it from turning on.
I used a phone for a day, completely discharged it and then recharged it to 100% again. I thought everything is gonna be good now.
Then I wanted to upgrade to Lollipop, I decided to use YotaFlasher to flash EU KitKat first, and that worked fine. After that, I used OTA update to download Lolipop.
Download finished, and I was offered to "restart device and apply update", but as soon as I confirmed, the device went off and I can't turn it on anymore. What the heck is happening with this yotaphone? (battery was at 97%)
I can't turn it on, restart, put in download or recovery mode, get it to charge or get the screen on. Also PC don't recognize it *AT ALL* -- not even sound that something is connected. It looks completely dead (again).
Any ideas what I can do to fix my new problem?

Internal issue??

Hey so recently i realized my phone would vibrate on its own and something didnt seem right. Every now amd then my phone would continuously vibrates every 3 second. I took a video but it seems like its trying to connect via usb? However i dont even have my phone plugged in. Actually when i do plug my phone in, it stops, but starts again once i unplug it.
Same exact issue with lg g6 started to happen today after I had it for 35 days, before that a couple tines was "charging blocked, more sture in USB port detected" but there was no moisture exposure at all. Contacting lg warranty. Nice forum BTW, I will register once I get to PC
