My asus zenfone 5 goes to recovery normally but it didn't goes to bootloader.
Thats why it wont detect by pc & i can't perform the fastboot flash commands through adb. What should i do guys. Plase help me. I tried every possible way but nothing gonna work.
Please guys help me anyone I am done with this mobile now.....

I have quite a big problem now...
Now I have succesfully get my Zuk Z1 to boot CM by using guide from @paulobrien and using @XQ55 files
Now I can't get to fastboot at all. Whenever I tried to reboot-bootloader, my phone will stuck on ZUK logo and won't show linux at center
Even it can't be detected when using fastboot commands..
I really am confused because I really need to flash TWRP to the phone via fastboot to flash other ROMs
Anyone know what is this problem and how to solve it??
Also there is a watermark of Preview,, I want to remove it, but then I need root, and root need twrp or CWM...
So I am really confused now..

Aim: To enter into Fastboot mode and Recovery Mode without problems
Situation: Recently installed TWRP Recovery in-app and through software, but when I try to enter in Fastboot Mode (HOLD POWER & VOLUMEUP) or even Recovery Mode (HOLD POWER & VOLUMEDOWN), I just end up in a hanged out ASUS Logo. I can't do anything except pulling out the battery myself and putting it back then booting the device through power button to boot it normally. I don't know if it's the problem with the model, or the phone's system itself, or it's just a bug, or a problem when I rooted my device through ADB.
(Note: When I rooted the device, I wasn't even able to see the blue "FASTBOOT MODE" when I tried it, I only saw the ASUS logo as well.)
For anyone who has any idea on what's going on with my device, please reply and help me. I really want to have the benefits of a rooted phone completly and I'm a new root user so I need assistance.
For anyone who has an idea on what I've done or on what should I do, please help me. Someone told me that I flashed the recovery and locked the bootloader, so it got damaged. If so, would Unlocking the Bootloader (from Wiki.CyanogenMod's Site) help my case?

I think I have "access" to TWRP recovery. However, I can only access it through booting it up from ADB. I used the command "adb reboot bootloader" to boot it to fastboot mode, however only the ASUS screen appears but I treated it as the fastboot mode itself. Then I checked if it was really on fastboot mode through "fastboot devices" and it showed my serial number. I can only enter into TWRP using "fastboot boot twrp.img" . I don't know if I already installed it because although I opened it, I can't do it from the phone (POWER+VOLUMEDOWN)
Ok now boot twrp and then flashamodified zip or cm13 and your phone should eork you dhould to have unlockrd bootloader

Since this time I can't enter in recovery mode more but fastboot only. The problem is that, in spite of the USB drivers are installed, fastboot does not recognize any connected device.
I've run Win 10 pro with a zenbook ux333fn laptop and I remembered android 6 on the phone, the last time I saw it alive.
I've tried also to install twrp 3.1, with no positive results.
Anyone can suggest me any solving way?

QFIL or AFT can be the solution.
I have a similar problem, a hard bricked Z00ED (ZE500KL) not able to get into fastboot or recovery.
after reading some thread here an there. that are Processor / Chipset specific flash tools that help flash bootloaders and repartition hard bricked device.
For mobiles with MediaTec devices, there is a tool called SP Flash Tool. I wasted a whole day with it. then understood that Z00ED (ZE500KL) has a Qualcomm Processor MSM8916
Therefore we need a Qualcomm Flasher here (QFIL )
But nos I am stuck with getting firmware for ZE500KL that can be used by QFIL tool, It should have a firehouse*.mbr file that is the programmer (dependent on CPU of the phone) and a rawprogram*.hex file that I don't know where to get from.

before my device bootloop, i try to unlock bootloader my device, i dont know whats wrong, after i unlock bootloader my device, and intall twrp, i got my device bootloop , stuck in logo asus
i try to flash with adb sideload with firmware ZE550KG , in process to wait adb sideload , cmd always hang
i try to flash with sd card with firmware ZE550KG, i got error signature verification failed, i try much firmware, but thats not work for me
can you help me?

Replace updater-script inside firmware zip, so that u can install it using twrp

Yea, Z00WD is ZE550KG
and Z00LD/ZE550KL firmware or rom can be installed on Z00WD, it means you can install or unlock, same way as Z00LD

I was doing a downgrade on my zenfone and after I erase the system everything stoped working.
I tried to flash twrp, but my adb don't show my device.
My windows show the cel is conected and I used USB view and the divice is there.
I can acess flashboot mode on the fone, the twrp opens, but I can't do anything there.
I tried to use WinDroid Toolkit v3.1 and the softwere says the flash works ok, but when the device is reboot its go on an infinite loop.
I have the correct asus frameware, but theres no recovery file there.
I don't have an Asus assistence where I live, so I can't just send this there.
I know theres I way to conecte my fone do ADB, but I can't make this works.
I have download: adb driver installer, Adb minimal and I found a qpst_2.7.422 in one post, but I have no clue in how to use this.
Edit:
I found a app called xfstk-downloader_v1.7.0 and a video explaning how to use it, but I need the bin files of ZE550Kl and I can't found it.
Someone has any idea?

I recently tried loading Lineage OS on my Asus Zenfone 3 (ZE520KL). Didnt get far though. Got stuck unlocking my bootloader via adb. As a result phone is no longer detected in adb. The phone is getting stuck at ASUS logo and I cant boot to recovery either. It does get detected by fastboot but nothing more. I have tried :-
(1) loading various ROMs downloaded from Asus website onto the microsd card
(2) using asus flashtool (various versions). The latest one says battery is -1% while the earlier version returns various errors including "frp request server log access is denied" and "failed to write partition"
(3) I have (seemingly) been successful at pushing recovery and boot images via fastboot but the phone still wouldn't go past the Asus logo when rebooted
Read a lot of threads but not much seems to be working.
Help please !

For what its worth, I ran the 'fastboot getvar all' command and this is what I got. Seems to be a truncated run.
