[SGP551][[23.4.A.0.546] Lollipop 5.1.1 - Pre-rooted Flashable Stock

Hi there!
It`s always been hard to find specific stuff for our SGP551 variant, so i uploaded my prerooted flashable zip for anyone who wants to move to Lollipop without losing root and recovery.
It's the STOCK 23.4.A.0.546 firmware with SuperSU v2.46 and [NUT]`s Dual Recovery 2.8.21.
Let`s get to it.
1- You have to be rooted and with working recovery.
2- Copy the flashable zip to your internal memory or microsd card and reboot to recovery. (i used TWRP recovery with the file on internal memory)
3- Do a factory reset and install the zip file.
4- Reboot system and you're done.
The first boot took about 10 minutes...

Updating oxygen os without losing TWRP possible ?

Hello,
i am using oxygen os 3.1 with TWRP recovery. No root no modifications other than TWRP.
Is it possible to update without factory reset to the latest oxygen os without losing my custom recovery TWRP?
I read about signed flash able zips - but i am not sure on how to proceed.
Guidance is appreciated !
Thank You
Device is Oneplus two 64gb.

You want to upgrade to latest 3.5.5 ? You'll have to wait until signed flashable zip for 3.5.5 is made. For now 3.1.0 is the latest flashable zip.
Check this thread -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/rom-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-roms-ota-t3209863
Thank you,
so i will wait for the full signed flashable zip.
still - my questions remain - i do not completely understand this :
Note: Since OTA incremental update zips will fail on rooted devices or devices with modifications to system files, it's not possible to use these to update without reverting back to completely stock, unrooted first.
To update you must either wait for the new, full, signed flashable zip to appear (usually a few weeks after the OTA update) or use the following workaround:
Boot into TWRP recovery
Flash the latest full signed flashable zip
Flash the new OTA incremental update zip
Flash the SuperSU zip
Reboot
Is it possible with the full signed flashable zip to keep twrp and my settings ?
Thank You

As it says you can't use incremental update zips if you're rooted or has a modified system. You can either Flash the latest full signed flashable zip & then Flash the new OTA incremental update zip (without rooting) OR just wait for the Full signed flashable zip & then flash it(whether you're rooted or not). As for now neither "Incremental" nor "full" signed zip exists for 3.5.5.
And Yes. You won't lose TWRP.
To understand more about "Incremental" & "Full" update packages, read this -> https://source.android.com/devices/tech/ota/tools.html
you can flash full rom zip and without restarting flash twrp image in twrp itself, its kinda tricky but it works
3.5.5 Full Signed Flashable Zip's now available. Check the thread I sent before.

I was on 3.1.0 with Hybrid recovery and root before the OTA for 3.5.5 came through. It installed itself via the ota (1.2gb) and when it was done I was back on default recovery and no root...which i fixed in few minutes..So I am now on the latest OS 3.5.5 with Hybrid Recovery and Root..everything is perfect! No network drops so far e.t.c
Edit: I didn't have to unroot for the OTA to work..It just did. Also didn't lost any data. all apps +data still intact
Thank You B!Gguy.
Signed flashable worked flawless

[How To]Install OOS 4.0.1 (KEEP DATA) (KEEP ROOT) (dm-verity boot problem SOLVED)

Here are some steps to upgrade your rooted oneplus 3t to OOS 4.0.1 without losing data or getting any problems with dm-verity. Also follow these steps if you already have problems with dm-verity (for instance if you can't boot because you get an error)
You need twrp as your recovery in order to follow these steps. (you can use toolbox from @ahmedradaideh to flash twrp)
First download the files below and put them on your oneplus 3t
1. shut down your phone and boot into twrp (by pressing volume up and power button at the same time and then selecting recovery.)
Create a backup before flashing anything
2. flash newest ota zip file(don't wipe anything).
Skip step 3 and 5 if you don't want root.
3. flash supersu file then wipe dalvik cache.
4. reboot
5. download supersu from playstore
If you still can't boot because of dm-verity problem try flashing stock recovery.
dowloads
ota zip file: OTA zip file
Supersu file: SuperSU

Where to get twrp installer.. on official twrp site there is only .IMG file for 3.1.1-0 available
The procedure you have explained is for twrp by Mohan 3.1.1-1 which doesn't seem to work fine for me

twrp 3.1.1-1 (by mohan) working perfect. Use twrp installer from this thread. First ensure that boot image is unmodified . Flash stock boot for your build number and then install twrp as stated above. Unmodified boot image must to install twrp. Then root with magisk to retain ota.

Thank you for your sharing. I had to flash no-verity-opt-encrypt after flashing Magisk. In TWRP I chose ReadOnly then wiped Cache and Data then flashed the Magisk and right after flashing it without rebooting, I flashed no-verity-opt-encrypt.
HERE is a link to download the Magisk zip and the NoVerityOptEncrypt
**Please note, the files I have uploaded are the latest BUT updates will be released and my files will be old one day!!**

Hi, I am trying to follow exactly the instructions with the latest builds of TWPR and Magisk but after boot to Rom I always receive this nasty message ''Verification failed'' and I have to install again the 8.1 firmware and start from the beginning to no avail. https://cdn-cf-3.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
- SM- J710FN
- firmware: 710FXXU6CSG2_J710FOJV6CSG1_J710FXXU6CSG3_HOME.tar.md5
- Odin3 v3.13.1
- TWRP: twrp-3.2.1-0-j7xelte.img.tar
- Magisk: Magisk-v19.3
- no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.1
I would very much appreciate your ideas...
