Corrupted file in /systems/etc/ - Bootloop, no recovery & no download mode (D802) - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everybody
I recently tried to higher the maximum headphone volume of my rooted LG G2 D802 on stock KitKat. In order to a guide I changed some values in the mixer_paths.xml in /systems/etc/ via ES File Explorer. After that, I restarted the phone which results in a bootloop - the LG boot animation never ends. I already found out that there is a high probability that the mixer_paths.xml is currupted due to wrong codings/line breaks or something.
Sadly, I neither can start the stock recovery (no custom recovery installed) by holding Power+Volume down nor go into download mode by volume up+putting usb cable in. In both cases it just happens nothing. When I connect it via USB to a PC, Windows recognizes a energy load only device. I tried different USB drivers/ports and PCs. There is no entry in the device manager and no new drives in the disk management utility.
I found hundreds of posts and comments where people coplaining that they can't go into download/recovery mode, even with apart from that fully working LG G2s. Therefore I'm not even sure, if both problems - the bootloop and not working download/recovery modes - are connected.
Is there any chance to get my G2 working again? I love it and don't want to buy a new phone.
I would be very thankful for everyone who can help me!

[Q] [L7] Swapping/Overclocking issues

This morning, my phone will not boot. Black screen, no lights, no vibration, no logo.
I suspect it had something to do with me using mmcblk0p3 as a swap partition via Swapper2 the night before, or the Purity kernel I installed for overclocking (although it was stable with overclock for several boots).
The former was the most likely cause.
I searched for what the purpose of mmcblk0p3 was for, but I was sure it was used as Linux swap.
I couldn't even boot into recovery nor fastboot.
Any help guys?
Hi!
Try to connect your phone (without battery) via a USB cable to the KDZ Flash Tool by pressing volume + and power. Appears on the screen Emergency Mode with a yellow background. Install new software. If you don't know how to install new software, this guide will help you.

I've already tried that, doesn't work.
Oh, I forgot to list my phone's specs.
LG P705G
Cyanogenmod 10 with 4cyl Turbo Engine/Crossbreeder and AC!D audio engine
Swap enabled
Probably motherboard is defective... The battery is charging at all?
Checked battery level manually with a voltmeter.
Fully charged, and the phone is plugged in anyways right now.
The charging animation doesn't show, though.
Maybe give him the guarantees...

[Q] [VS980 32GB BRICK] No download mode (Goes to Fastboot), Recovery Works

Ive searched forever, can't find out anything that doesn't scare me to try. There were a few things that seemed like they would work but I could not access the files.
Symptoms:
Phone will just get stuck at LG screen with Blue & Cyan lights
Can access recovery (TWRP) through Vol down + Power
Can access fastboot, but not download mode wtih vol Up & Usb plug in
Phone recognized only at LG logo
What I've Tried:
Figured out the LG Flash tool method to flash KDZ file to take it back to stock, but since the phone doesn't get to download mode, obviously it is not recognized by the computer and this wouldn't work
Found the posts about fixing the LAF image in order to access download mode
What I need I think:
Appropriate files for VS980 32gb so I can fix download mode
If anyone can direct me to the appropriate method thread & the appropriate files for my phone that would be greatly appreciated. I purchased this phone rooted with the TWRP recovery. Was an idiot and took the OTA update when setting up my phone even though I knew it was a bad idea.
On a side note, if anyone can tell me or link me to appropriate steps to update my phone to lollipop after I get this fixed... if I get it fixed.. that would be helpful too. So much information. Will I need to reinstall recovery or will that stay?
Thank you!

D802 Bootloop Issue after root [NEED HELP]

Hey guys.
I'm issuing a serious bootloop problem with my D802. I need help.
How things evolved, listen my story.
1- I was using Bliss ROM 6.4 , after a new update my cellular data connection lost. So I back to stock lollipop.
2- I back to D80230c with using LG G2 Stock Firmware (Go Back to Stock) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 method. I got a KDZ file and I flash it.
3- Then I used [TOOLS] One Click ROOT+TWRP Recovery for Lollipop Stock Firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development-d802/tools-how-to-install-twrp-bump-d80230a-t3072186 to get root and TWRP.
4- Lastly, script broke on somewhere and my g2 stuck at bootloop.
- When I connect the phone to computer with usb cable, I am getting bootloop. [ LG logo keeps appearing in every 2 or 3 seconds. ] and it keep going.
- When I connect the phone to the charger with usb cable, I am still getting bootloop (lg logo thing) 5 or 6 times then I see Firmware update screen. Lastly, phone get stable and it holds firmware update screen as long as it charged.
-When I disconnected the phone from charger and connect to computer, it begin to restarting and bootloop continues.
Most importantly, my phone does not respond, if its not connected to computer or charger. I mean, it should connect to computer or charger with usb cable to respond hardware key commands. ( download mode, recovery mode, or hardware key control mode ) Btw hardware key control mode is korean language)
I tried LG PC Suite resolve update errors , I tried .tot and .dkz method for flashing rom. ( Device goes to bootloop when transferring data begin from computer.) These methods are failed for me. I did not try fastboot mode.
Maybe someone can help mw, I issuing this kind a problem in three years of android user.
Sorry my English :/

Bricked a G2 (D802) pretty unusual

Hello guys,
So I bricked my D802 , how? first it was bricked because of a wrong version of TWRP, untill here no problem, i tried many tutorials on how to go back to stock rom, then i found that it was a Qualcom thing problem, so I found that tutorial about replacing the .img files etc... , pretty easy, i could enter the recovery menu, but it had no rom, i downloaded the stock rom kdz file , started flashing it, then, for some dumb reason the flashing stopped, I ... plug out the usb cable... I didn't notice untill I saw that the program froze, and now the phone is stuck at the LG logo, impossible to do anything, pc doesn't recognize it, can't go to recovery menu, can someone help me please? or at least tell me if I should just throw that phone or keep it if it has a chance of living a bit longer

I had a very similar problem with it getting stuck at the logo after pushing supersu to the phone. I followed Supersport every single step of the way in his video. I think his links are the only valid ones online now, so just download them and reflash your phone. If your G2 is anything like mine, drivers will never appear to be installed correctly and it never restarts, only shuts down.
His method is:
1) Download and install LG drivers on PC
2) Download and install the flash tool and patch it
3) Download and load the .tot and .dll files into the flash tool
4) Enter download mode on G2 by holding volume up while connecting USB
5) Switch G2 Com port to 41 in device manager
6) Once Flash tool shows that all ports are ready, power down G2 and disconnect
7) Hold volume up and reconnect to get back into download mode
8) LG Flash tool starts flashing
9) Complete
Note: If your G2 was screwed up as bad as mine, it'll say failed but all the main system files will load to the device before it restarts and it'll even shut itself off while doing it's installation on first reboot. Mine somehow was still revived from this state with his method.

LG G2 won't turn on

Hi.
To start off, I'd like to say im no expert with phones, I had phones mostly to call, watch videos and listen to music, and this is my first attempt at doing all the stuff I will be describing now.
From the beginning:
I bought a seller refurbished LG G2, which worked fine when I received it, I had to do some updates which my phone found automatically, and it ended at OS version 4.4.2.
I wanted to finally have a decent but cheap phone, however it couldn't play some games I wanted to play and thought "Maybe if I update OS to something new, it will work, and it looks better"
Here my journey to update the phone to Android 11 started.
I was looking at many different videos and guide and everything, how to root, first time I rooted was by accident, only later a better video instructed me how to do it properly, then I installed the trww or whatever its called. then it didnt work properly after using that recovery to install android 11, so I had to flash it to some old version I found for my device (My version is LG D802 btw). For some reason it now had only 11gb of space, instead of 32gb. Anyway, I tried installing root and twrw thing again. After getting root and the recovery program I clicked reboot in its options and now my phone is having an issue.
First off, I left it to charge over 9 hours. If its NOT connected via usb it does nothing, power button, volume buttons do nothing.
I tried connecting it to my phone to flash it, but nope, after few seconds it says my phone disconnected from the usb and try again, even tho it is connected and I can see in device manager that it's seen by my PC. Now, I tried to enter the download mode manually, and it worked.
It says that it's rooted and B0 above it (this number was going down over different roots, twrw installs and flashes and such, no idea what it is.
I tried to flash it again since Im in download mod, however now the main issue appeared. It goes well for 40% of the flash using the LG flash tool 2014, I can see the progress in the download mode on the phone's screen, however once it reaches that certain point it just resets and the program treats it as disconnected.
Now when I have the phone connected via usb it just flashes red between 1 and 3 times, LG logo shows up for several seconds, then it turns off, and repeats the whole process.
During the flashing, software instructed me to remove the batter and try again, so I looked up how to remove it, did it, put everything back together, and its still the same.
Please tell me what to do, I've already spent over 10 hours trying to fix it and I just bought this phone...
hi... if your phone flashes LG logo - i'd recommend a full TOT flash of the original Lollipop image as a starting point...
just make sure you download a proper TOT file for your d802 device (32gb model)...
you'll end up with a working stock Lollipop rom which you can later root and flash a custom rom (i.e. Lineage 18)
Stock TOT file is usually about 2.6-2.7GB in size (at least for my 16gb model)
this youtube video shows how to do it and what is required for the process...
i think there is also an older thread here on XDA on how to TOT flash a G2 device (try to search it)
