I found that it's possible to get control of music player not only of default music player, but at least other players like Play Music directly from lock screen and smar cover ...
I haven't tried on other players yet like poweramp, etc.
The way to do it right is installing updated aviate launcher and running the player from Spaces/Listening field :good: :good:

Are there any mods or apps to put the music player on the locked screen if the music is playing?? I tried searching but came up with nothing.
mixzing and cubed (3) have that option, although you need the upgraded mixzing version to use the lock screen player.
I use bTunes and it have locked screen controls.
I love cube(3) best UI and works on the lock screen.
There is no app to just use the default player for the lock screen?
Are there any recommended widgets that you can theme and design that work with the Touch Wiz player?
I'm not looking to change music players, do don't suggest any, thanks.

Hey, after upgrading to GB from Wolfbreaks TW09 I've experienced some problem in the music player. For starters, there is no way to control the music from lock screen (and yes, I've tried "simply lockscreen").
I cant switch songs with the volume buttons,
and last but not least; The music player widget doesnt show up on other launchers (zeam, adw, etc)
Is there any ways to fix this?

So, when I look up for a music player, I only need 3 features :
_Sort song by last added/modified
_Clic on a song and "listen after the one currently playing"
_Having my lockscreen background set with the music image cover
So far on my P9 Lite, I have not been able to have all of the 3.
_Google music does not detect my music's image cover
_Huawei player cant sort, nor have the button I need
_Phonograph cant set my music image as lock screen cover
I am only listenning to music from my SD card.
If anyone has a solution regarding any of the 3apps I ve tried, or an app that have been prove to work fine with my criteria, I ll be really happy.

But for the 3rd criteria you will need root for every music app to show cover on lockscreen because it's a Huawei issue or limitation.

For me both Deezer and Spotify work with the second screen, although I only use the free/ad-based variant.
Gonemad works too.
Also Not working: Apple Music
Fu** this **** anyway, just got 6 months for free, wouldn't recommend it anyone.

Also Htc Music works with 2nd screen!
PlayerPro works fine as well
I use Google Play Music but it does not show album art on the second screen, it only shows the Play Music logo.
Do any of the other apps that work place album art on the second screen?

Can any1 tell me if it is possible to change the default music player from Google Play Music (Yuck) to Amazon Music? And if so, how to accomplish it? Seems unlikely after poking around but you guys would know. Thanks to any1 for investigating the inquiry.

I use PlayerPro, like a few others here. It works flawlessly with the second screen, and the 12 band EQ add-on sounds great with the uSonic headset.
