Trouble fixing up my Samsung SG-9006V hard bricked - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello to everybody. I hope, you can understand me, because my english is terrible. I flashed the bootloader of my phone with a wrong image and I did a hard bricked, but my phone is not dead at all, so I have some hope to get it back. The first signal is that when I prees the power bottom a soft white bright appear on the left side of display, passed a second this light turn off and after turn up, and do this cyclically. The other sign is when I press the combination volume up+menu+power buttoms and appear a menu with three option, normal boot, recovery boot, fastboot, I must press volume down to ok, but when I press it dont work, dont work with any bottom I press. Well I saw in other post the sd card class 10 method to boot my phone but it didnt work. Today I dismantling it, I found 4 pins (RDX1, RDX2) (TXD1, TXD2). I assumed it was the serial port signal so, with a rs232 integrated circuit did something to connect to my pc with a usb-serial port cable, but it didnt work, odin and ADB not recognized my phone. Is there some software that work with DOS OS?. Somebody with more experience know something more?. I thinked to use a BOX software that they work with COM port but I dont know if it will work. Thank

Does Volume Down & Home & Power take you to download mode?
If yes, flash TWRP, and then the correct bootloader from TWRP recovery
Or just try flashing a full stock ROM with ODIN from download mode

Hard bricked is hardware bricked.
Soft bricked is software bricked.
You say you have signs of life so it's not the hardware......
If the download mode button combination doesn't work, buy a USB jig off eBay.....They cost pocket change....
Plugging it into the usb socket in your phone will force the phone into download mode.....even if it's powered off.
Then you can flash the correct software.

The micro usb socket 'form' (shape/design) is standard right across the Galaxy range....I've used a Galaxy W, a Galaxy S2, a Galaxy S4, a Galaxy S5 and a Note 4......They all use the same usb socket.....
The difference between usb 2 and 3 is purely data transfer speed......
In all other respects, usb 3 is backwards compatible with usb 2.......
The jig WILL work......If anything does....

What do you mean it didn't work?
I know ebay deliver fairly quickly, but last time I checked, they weren't offering a same day delivery service....so unless you already had one, there is no way on earth you could have tried it....

Apologies, but I I thought you didnt read the post carefully, I thought you read very quickly. But I think my english is very bad, sorry for that it wasnt my intention to offend.
I didnt buy the jig I did it. It´s easy to do, I saw information in the net. It comes a resistance of 300Kohm between pin 4 and 5. I had in my home the plug and the resistances

Please help, s4 sgh i337m brick!!!

Hi there !!!,windows doesn't recognize my s4 i337m in download mode (code 29), when i was flashing (stock canada 5.0.2) my cousin unplugged the cable by mistake, now i can go into download mode but widows 7 doesnt recognize anymore (tried different pcs and cables , the same), did it damage the usb port? or is hardbricked?? what can i do??? please help!!
I'm no expert on this, but you can try taking out battery. Hold power button to discharge hardware and put battery back in and see if it works. You can also try factory reset & wipe cache from recovery (Vol Up + Home + Power) and try again.
Your phone at least goes to Download mode so that's good sign I guess. You're using ODIN to flash 5.0.2, right?
Wait more experienced person to answer, though.

It looks like the PC does recognize something is connected; it just doesn't know what the device is. This makes me think USB port is fine otherwise PC wouldn't recognize anything AT ALL. Does the phone still charge?
You can try the 3 methods here. I know it says for Code 28, but it will reinstall drivers for usb ports. Restart and see if phone is detected.
If it's still not detected, remove Samsung drivers, Kies, or anything related to Samsung phone. Restart and install Samsung USB drivers again. Restart again and see if phone is detected.
bro i'm afraid it did not work, perhaps replacing usb port on my device? or the whole flex?
aditional data: my nephew unplugged the usb cable by mistake while i was flashing canada stock 5.0.2 , obviously odin "failed" , but after that , windows 7 does not recognize my device anymore. i can still go into download mode.

Well, I'm stumped too now, man. You can try the driver thing I said on another computer. I don't know any other things you can try.
If you can charge your phone, your usb port probably works fine. The firmware got corrupted, causing this problem most likely.
solved!!

(ok here a update im making progress so i started from the jump went through a box of old micro usb cables found 2 cables that seem to work better than others 1 seems to trigger more often than other but its not a everytime i plug with button combo it pops unrec usb but when it dose sometimes it continues to do it then stops i also found a 3in1 OTG moblie phone connection and when i us it (first just plugging in the OTG to pc it pop unrec device and shows up in
usb controllers) (second when i connect the phone with different button combos the pc detects as unrec usb device but non of the mtk or lenovo nor qualcomm drivers rec the phone i tried to assign the drivers lenovo for it but its there not the rite drivers and the proper ones are installed for the device? "now it did let me assigned and give me the options for some qualcomm usb drivers but the only i rec was a 9006 {it didnt offer the 9008} but after installing it showed with error but still did not rec the phone. so now im not as bad off as i was per say. im going to look into this OTG thing as it really helps pc see the phone as a unrec usb device but no matter which one i use rite now i need to get it to or for the drivers to see the phone.
i still having trouble getting my laptop to asign a driver im getting unrec usb but unable to asign lenovo usb drivers or qaulcomm dirver it tells me there no drivers for it and check to see if the 64bit so my win10 dose not rec those drivers for 64 bit so now im in driver issue now

SM-900W8 Won't Boot

I have a note 3 that has always worked flawlessly until today. The phone has a stock ROM, is rooted and has a custom recovery. I am selling the phone so I wanted to go into recovery and clean the phone for sale.
When I tried to go into recovery, the phone looked like it was going in, but after a minute or so, the phone rebooted. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 logo appears and on the upper left corner it says, "Recovery Booting, Set Warranty Bit: recovery", then it reboots.
I installed Samsung USB drivers, went into download mode to flash the original ROM, but Odin doesn't recognize the phone. There isn't any sim in the phone, but I doubt that makes a difference.
Any help would be great, thanks,
Ian
Tried using different usb cables and usb ports?
Where did you get the custom bootloader?
What model Note 3 ??

Sorry, I meant to say the phone has a custom recovery (TWRP) and it's been on the phone a couple of years. I used the phone up until February when the screen cracked and I got a new digitizer for it. it's been sitting since. Yes, I tried 2 different cables and 2 different USB ports

If Odin doesn't recognize the phone, there is no way I know of to flash a stock ROM.
Is it possible the USB port is damaged?

I replaced the USB port, just in case. I think it's the mainboard though. The phone will only turn on if I plug the USB cable in, then it goes through the recovery then shutoff routine again. The battery measures 4.3 volts, is this too low? Maybe the battery is too low and when it is plugged in it starts to boot, but shuts down due to a low battery? How can I charge the battery if when I plug the phone in it turns on and wont charge?

The phone will not charge in recovery mode or download mode so it could be a battery problem. The battery voltage may be too low. Do you have access to another battery to try?

Bootloop Problem / Unable to flash as i can't even install usb driver

Hey there guys, so as the title suggests, i'm having a bootloop problem on my m30s sm-307f, i can't access recovery mode, and i'm unable to start the flashing process because i can't even install the usb driver, i've tried several drivers, using several cables, on several systems (windows 7 / windows 10 / windows 11), and i always get that infamous yellow triangle on the SAMSUNG Mobile USB CDC Composite Device in the Universal Serial Bus Controllers section in the device manager, the phone was operating normally one day, and the next day when i try to power it on, i get this, i'm absolutely certain that i did nothing to the phone, not even an update, and it most definitely didn't fall to the ground, please respond, i have really important data there, and it would devastating to lose it, and thanks a lot.

No, unfortunately it can't, which is to be expected since windows itself can't detect it.

I had the same problem but following the mentioned steps did worked for me. It's that short moment when the screen turns black, where you have to push that buttons. USB Cable needs to be plugged in!
If this solution is not working for you, try searching the web. I found more than one potential solution. Good luck.

Could be, but i'm not sure. I would try to find a software solution, until you are sure it's not to get fixed on this way.

Were you ever able to solve this? Is it a hardware issue? I think that may be the correct determination. I'm going to take this one apart and see if I find anything that would corroborate.

Bricked device - Buttons don't respond and USB does nothing aswell

I am try to install LineageOS 19.1 on my SM-P610 but after flashing the recovery, I accidentally wiped the system and cache partitions. After that it would only show "entering fastboot mode...". After managing to get into download mode again using the buttons, I tried flashing the recovery from their but lost the USB connection prematurely because I was using a magnetic USB cable. When I came back to it (it took a while to flash), the screen was black and none of the buttons worked. After letting it charge overnight, I still have the same issue. I am worried that I have bricked my device in a way that isn't recoverable.
After some digging I found something called an EDL cable which seems to put the device in a deep flash mode but that is just for Qualcomm devices and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 LIte has is Exynos instead. Is there something similar for my device or should I throw it in the can?
