[i9500] Android OS draining battery and high CPU usage

I dont know if this is the Android 4.2.2 problem itself or something wrong with my device. But the Android OS in Battery setting didnt drain this much on my galaxy s3 running 4.1.2.
please tell me about it as I have tried:
- Factory Reset
- Stock Rom
- Various Custom Rom (Omega v9, Crash, Wanam 1.8)
And nothing works.

I dont know man, back to my Galaxy S3 running 4.1.2, when I have about 20% of battery left, the Android OS only use like 4% of the battery. This is too much.
hello?
its normal ... s4 and s3 are not the same

Yeah I've faced the same issue when I play any game or something. So at that time I used to restart my phone to reduce my cpu usage. It used to worked me. Before restarting It was more than 50% and after restarting it usually became around 20%. So I used to do like that only until I got the awesome OTA updates from samsung. I've updated my galaxy S4 now It's battery backup is awesome and the CPU usage is now below 15%. So try to update ur firmware via OTA.
Everything will be fine....:good:

A major problem with my I9500!

So I had my i9500 s4 for like 5 months now.. never had a problem, but now.. It restarts randomly and a lot of items there is no sound at all or very low sound, I never messed with it!
That was on stock rom + Preseus kernel.. I installed custom rom with latest preseus kernel and no success, same problem

I was already full stock and faced that problem, will try again though, thanks a lot
I hope you don't experience any of the below things to otherwhise you have to replace your battery
do you have only battery drains or also random reboots?
the fact is that samsung shipped out a bad serie of batteries (which is confirmed by Samsung) their serial starts with BD
the symptoms of a bad battery are:
Huge battery drain
random reboots
while rebooting the phone hangs at samsungs logo
battery is swelling
phone shutting down while you have an incomming call/sms
when you are the "lucky one" to experience one of the above symptoms please replace your battery asap under warranty
if you don't do this you risk a phone exploding in the pocket of your pants this is not only painfull for your phone but also for "everything else" whats in there

TWRP 4.4.4 KitKat (SM-N910C) Stock Rom Backup file request (COJ5 possible solution):

In a previous discussion with kerbiii, he suggested a possible solution to downgrade firmware (after the 5.1.1 COJ5 update which blocks downgrades through ODIN) by using a TWRP backup from someone with the same device. So, can someone owning the same device (SM-910C) and using a 4.4.4 Stock Rom with the TWRP installed share a backup of his device's ROM?
Hooking to this same subject, is there a place to download stock ROMS in TWRP recovery format?

Hahaha No No dear!! Marshmallow has a good battery backup like kitkat. The reason behind your battery draining fast on Marshmallow is because you didn't do a factory reset of your phone after the update. Did you install marshmallow via OTA ??

Well... Since how many months or year(s) are you using your phone? coz somewhere I read that the note 4 battery doesn't last for more than 1 year if used heavily everyday like gaming and all that stuff. In some cases, the battery even swells a little. There's a life time as to how many times the battery can be charged and discharged. Buy a new battery or just borrow a note 4 battery from any of your friend (who has a note 4) for 1 day just to test and see if something is wrong with your phone itself instead of the battery.
it doesnt work i tried it earlier . also i tried more than 20 possible solutions and non of them works (i did everything even jtag) and i have spent more than 200$ on these things no result , and if these limits really bother you then welcome to the club just make sure you wont buy another sammy after n4 , have fun
tried the twrp backup?

Hey, have you tried restoration of a kitkat "twrp backup" from another Note4 (n910c)?

j500f thermal problem

i've had my phone for around ten days and like most of u i ve installed twrp then cm 12.1 ( installed linaro kernel also ) but rather didin't like so i took back to nandroid backup and get my stock rom again ( the phone got luggy and didin't open apss easly ) , idk what happend but an update screen to 6.0.1 just pop up around and from that time the phone cpu started to go up crazy with no apps installed i am just using fb lite and the phone goes up to 50 and screen is hot i ve tried many stock roms but none of them worked the phone at idle is 40 ° and in use 50 ° even in twrp mode it stays at around 45° , (i remember installing root booster when i was in 6.0.1 )
my phone seems like thermal broken my question is that cpu config remain when u flash another rom ?
and there is anyway to fix what happend ? pls help me i've tried almost everything
is there a way to total reset the phone from step 0 ? ( not talking about wiping normal data and installing roms thew odin )
i tried full wipe install stock rom install custom none seems to work

i suggest you should go to recovery mode, wipe all cache and data. then download the stock rom from sammobile for samsung j500f , flash it using odin. I believe that will work and solve your heat issues.
Try using lollipop 5.1.1 instead...android 6.0.1 has heating issues and is quite unstable...remember to do a factory data reset and cache clear before flashing the new firmware

i have found out that 40 to 50*c of temp is normal for a CPU, i think you dont need to worry, everything is normal
you use a smartphone and it monitors its temperature and whenever the temperature exceeds normal acceptable limits your device will reboot and that will be something to worry about.

S7 Edge G935F Nougat serious problem. Please Help !

Hello Community,
im from Germany, so don't judge me if my english skills are not that good.
So here is my problem.
I couldnt wait for the new nougat update. I decided to flash the beta 3 i guess with odin. Everything has gone right, the battery life was perfect, the performance great, everything was really smooth until i tried to get twrp on it. Ive got an endless bootloop. I flashed nougat again and everything was great. However now my battery life is the worst. I charged it to 70% it dropped down to 5% in like 3,5 hours ? I have nothing installed except whatsapp and the XDA App. I deactivated facebook, galaxy store and every bloatware.
It took about 2 hours to get from 5% to 32% with the fast charge enabled. When disabled it took longer.
i have wiped the cache section and nothing helped. I wiped all data and installed my backup from smart switch ive done befor i wiped everything.
Please i need help, im afraid that i broke my battery.

I dont think you have made it kapput. Flash the stock firmware back and see if the problem is solved. Beta versions of software usually come with bugs, sometimes many , some times a few. I remember when lollipop just came out, i installed on my droid rarz and i hard a simarly problem to you. I just flashed my stock ROM back and every returned to normal

The Problem is, i did not have the problem when i flashed it first. But the second or third time ruined something i guess.
I dont want the stock marshmallow rom back to be honest.
Just try and see if the problem still persist. I think that's the only way you can find out if its the rom or u breaked your phone

Wait, yesterday i have done this, the battery drain was kinda normal, but now i see the "android system" is draining with like 30% of the total battery usage after the third nougat flash.

There are quiet a few reasons why it might be broken. But again i still insist on trying out back the stock ROM

i say it again, i did go back on the stock. And yes, the battery life was kinda better. And then i flashed nougat back. The problem is, why is the android system draining so much with 30% for the total battery consumption.
Ohhh.if it got besser that simply means there seem to be a lot of background activity with the nougat
