Note 4 remove volume warning without Xposed? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone,
I'm running Emporia ROM . As the title says, I want to remove the volume warning without installing Xposed framework, due to the reduction in battery life and performance. The ROM is perfect otherwise, but I would really like to remove the volume warning. Perhaps a zip you can flash? I know there are some apps that do the job, but would prefer a direct modification rather than a workaround
Secondary question, is there a way to disable notifications over Bluetooth when connected to my car's stereo? When I get a notification, it plays over both my phone speaker and then the stereo 1 second later. I would much prefer to have it play solely over the phone's speaker, and eliminate notification sounds over stereo completely. For now I'm resorting to setting the phone to vibrate every time I get in the car.
Also, is there anyway to delete that horrid pop up that occurs every time I enable Bluetooth? I always hit cancel since my phone pairs automatically, and it is incredibly annoying considering it serves no purpose
Thank you XDA

Cell-signal alert and music interruption

As others have pointed out, the Epic has an annoying "feature" of making a sound whenever it re-establishes a cell radio connection and there's no real way to disable it in the stock ROM.
This doesn't really bother me per se since I can live with muting the alerts volume, but that doesn't prevent the notification event from cutting into whatever music I'm listening to on wired headphones--the volume will drop to make way for an audio alert regardless of the volume level or vibrate mode, then come back up. It happens on just about every audio app I've tried.
Well thankfully, I just got a pair of Bluetooth headphones and for whatever reason the issue doesn't crop up, at least not so far. I thought others might find this helpful, particularly subway commuters.

[Q] Sick of this phone's quirks. Please help.

Sometimes , when I plug headphones, or any auxiliary audio jack, a "microphone" icon appears on the upper bar on the screen, and then at the first instance of any noise it randomly dials someone from my recent call list. I usually catch it in time to end the call before it even rings, but not always. This is SO aggravating as very frequently I use my phone to listen to music either in my car or while exercising/working with headphones.
I've had this ongoing problem since release date and it seems to be random in frequency. Sometimes it happens every time I plug a jack in, then sometimes it goes a whole month without happening. The only way I've found to eliminate the "microphone" icon and prevent the phone from calling out is to stop my music, go to settings, other, voice command, and then uncheck the "enable voice command" box. It seems that inserting headphones automatically re-enables this against my will. I thought installing some of the updates or various roms would have helped, but nothing helped. I'm back to using the latest stock rom and because of my irritation with this phone have just about given up on doing any more to it.
Is there any way for me to permanently delete voice command? I never use it and unfortunately the only threads I can find on here deal with people asking the opposite.
Any advice would be appreciated.
If you're on an Android ROM try downloading Titanium Backup from the market and deleting the voice applications if you don't use any of them.

hd2 is a headphone button enabled phone ....so pluging in some jacks can cause the effect of the button to trigger on itself
Also on occasions fluff into audio port means the jack just does not drop right in
pull the battery and with a pin and torch check its clear, be gentle with the pin
I have many different heaphones/earbuds that I use with this phone and none of them give me a problem on the latest official HD2 Rom for T-Mobile
1. the original earbud set that came with it
2. Old (like 10 years old) Sony over the ear headphones (best sounding by far in this group and 6ft cord makes excellent antenna for FM radio)
3. phillips earbuds
4. Rocketfish earbuds (Crappiest but has long cord for antenna)
5. Phillips behind the neck heaphones (second best sounding)
6. Sony earbuds (these things rock for earbuds)
7. Phillips earphones
8. Skullcandy earbuds (offers the best fit out of all of them in the ear types)
If I have any gripes about using headphones it has to be that HTC put the jack on the wrong end of the phone.....
i couldnt find the place to ask this question, but would it still be wise to buy HTC HD2 instead of Motorola Defy? my budget is something around 17,000 INR. Pls guys help, im so confused bout buying the phone, personally i like the design of both Defy & HD2 and as i have read HD2 is better phone configuration wise and regarding flashing with custom roms but isn't it a bit outdated now?
Thanks for the replys. I'm considering filing an insurance claim on my device to see if they can fix it as I already suspected that the headphone jack itself may be the culprit. Since the hd2 is discontinued, if they can't replace/repair it, then I'm pretty sure they'll hook me up with the current gen htc handset for tmobile (evo?)
Still though. If anyone could tell me how to deactivate, or delete from the device/registry, Voice Command, it would save me a lot of trouble. I've only 3 months left until I get an upgrade anyway.

[Q] Safe Volume Level - Reduces Volume After 1 hour

Hello
I have just recently purchased a Nexus 7 (the old style, not this years new model) which is running Android 4.3.
When using a pair of headphones/ear phones (just simple stereo ones, no fancy headset buttons) after about an hour the volume drops considerably. I usually have it up more than 30% of the way which causes that goddarned "safe volume" message to appear, but I simply dismiss it by hitting OK. I have an audio enhancement application - Equalizer - which I use but even changing it to the stock MusicFX plug-in it still stays at this really low volume until a few hours have passed with no audio.
Its really really annoying, and I've been through every option in the settings to try and disable it or stop it from doing it.
Does anyone know how to fix this without root?
Thanks
Dan
(PS yes I'm in the UK)

Disable Auto Volume Reduction?

Is there a way to disable the annoying feature that reduces volume when a 3.5mm aux cable is connected to the phone? LG claims this is to "protect my ears". I'm a big boy, I can protect my own darn ears! I use my phone to play music in my car (why Mazda didn't include an A2DP profile on the Miata until the 2013 model year is beyond me) and every time someone texts me or calls me the volume level gets reduced, causing me to need to grab the phone and raise it back up which, needless to say, is dangerous and annoying.
great description, I would also like to see a work around to this issue.
I have been wondering this since day 1.
There's an Xposed mod that does that, maybe we could get the dev to add G2 support.

Meanwhile I can look for that particular code inside the framework files, but it would be a dirty fix as everyone would have to edit the smali for their own ROM.

Solved: Bluetooth volume defaults to maximum on each new connection

I have found that each time that I connect my bluetooth audio devices to the phone the volume resets to the loudest setting. The change seems to happen as soon as I start audio the first time after connecting. When I adjust the volume I can see momentarily that it was on a lower setting and then it jumps all the way up to maximum. This has happened with three different brands of headsets. It does not happen with wired earbuds. An app called "Bluetooth Volume Control" will automatically adjust the volume based on the bluetooth device connected. This work reasonably well but not 100% so far. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
Edit: I found a solution for this. In the developer options under the "Networking" heading, there is an option to "Disable absolute volume." Turning this option on allows the volume to stay where I put it.
Well, I love having mine maxed out every time. I had the Nexus6p which did something much more annoying. It would always set the Bluetooth volume to the middle and then I would have to turn it all the way up every time. I set up a Tasker option, but like your app, it didn't work 100% of the time either.

In the past it would have been less of an issue but the combination of the new phone and my newest bluetooth set means that half way is ear damaging. My older sets were less so but are still uncomfortably loud.
My god, I hope no one else complains about this. I can't stand devices that default to a safe volume limit. FYI, when connected via BT, the phone volume is software based and what ever device you are using is hardware based. It is ALWAYS recommended to max out the software volume and then use the hardware (actual device) volume to adjust to your preference. On other phones I would always have to readjust both volumes, not fun. OnePlus does it right.

Not all bluetooth earbuds have volume controls. It would be nice to just have the volume stay where I put it. That would be the "right" way. you could leave it high I could leave it lower.
So I found this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phascinate.precisevolume&hl=en
It allows granular control over volume, presets for different devices, boosting or reducing the overall volume... etc.
For example, in my car maximum volume is preferred because I would rather use the volume control on the dash, however my wireless earbuds have no volume control and this newest pair have a truly ridiculously loud maximum volume, and I want them to default to about 50 percent. This app lets me set up separate presets for each.
It also lets you adjust the maximum volume and the rate of change when you use the volume controls. This was useful also.
free to use with ads but it is $2.99 to make it useful though.
I think that is problem solved but I wish that I didn't need an app to prevent an automatic volume change. It isn't about loud or soft. It is the fact that I put it where I want it and the phone changes it. In my case these headphones are capable of such loud volumes that starting soft would be preferable.
Here are the headphones by the way. A bit expensive but very worth it.

and these

The Jams are way better than both in every respect.
Finally found a real solution. In the developer options, under the "Networking" section, there is an option to "Disable absolute volume." turning this option on allows the volume to stay where I put it.

Thanks for the solution! I've been having the opposite problem, i. e. every time I connected my Bluetooth earplugs the volume was always at the minimum. Now it's working fine.

I noticed this and had it on but I turned it off, then I noticed that the volume was not staying like it did when I used other bluetooth earbuds. After reading your post, I then reenabled the option and works nicely. I got the IdeaUSA v203 headphones today, and I was trying to keep the volume about the same via bluetooth and aux cable, in-case I ran out of battery and need to plug in aux to use headphones. This works perfectly for me. I use Poweramp and nicely done for this. It says up to 40 hours playback but I think with the way I got it might give me a few hours less playback but I am willing to sacrifice for volume. One reason I love Oreo or higher OS now. My S7 Edge is nice with this.:good:
THANKS! Worked for me!
I have 'disable absolute volume' ON and i still have this problem. Its a very big problem, because having music defaulted to large scares the me so much and also is causing damage to my ears.

Same here. Toggling that did nothing at all.
My issue was that if I took a phone call while any media was playing, when I hung up on the call the media volume would jump to max and playback would resume which DESTROYED my ears.
My solution was to uninstall the Samsung Sound Assistant app and then rebooting my S9. (Because the behavior persisted until rebooted after the uninstall.) That fixed the issue entirely. I miss the functionality of Sound Assistant so I might try reinstalling to see if it works itself out but for now having the problem fixed is very nice.
