Working Sound Mod for the Desire 820 - Desire 820 General

Hello!
i found a working soundmod here: http://www.androidiani.com/forum/modding-htc-desire-eye/491698-soundmod-dragon-fi-audio.html
Put the downloaded zip on your sd card, go into twrp recovery and flash it. An aroma intaller will pop up, read and click to the next pages, than click on the HTC with MSM8974 Chipset button, click next, click Sense 6.0, than next, click Install Dolby Atmos, click to the next page an here click Maximum Edition, click next and it will install. you dont need to wipe something.
Reboot and go to the app drawer, search for "Dolby Atmos", open it and play around to adjust your sound how you like it.:victory:
Its a system wide soundmod, not only for the music. Also game sound and ringtones will be louder and have a far better sound. I like the Psychorealism Sound.
Make a backup first! Try it on your own risk.

MSM8974 is Qualcomm

Ahh yes I messed it up with MTK
Sent from my hTC D820u via Tapatalk

Oh yeah....its for Qualcomm devices.

Will this mod work on MSM 8939?

Yes it works on MSM 8939. But you have to click for the MSM8974 to put the right drivers into your system. And make a backup from your system first, so you can easy go back if you are not happy with the new sound.

works on htc 820u

How is the improvement in sound quality? Is it worth?

HTC Desire 820n 5.0.2 Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8939 does not work

It works on my desire 820n very well. After the flash did you find the Dolby Atmos App in the appdrawer? Here you adjust the sound.

It takes 5 minutes to find it out...

How to make its dual loudspeakers sound better?

Hello.
Im on a brazilian Moto X Style XT1572 dual sim rooted.
Id like to know if there a way to make its dual loudspeakers sound better.
Thanks

There are some sound mods floating around the MXP thread that some have said work. Like Dolby Atmos is one, iv used it on other phones and it worked great, i recently tried it for this phone, it flashed fine, but it did not take affect for some reason. Maybe some others can chime in and share what they've tried.

I'm using Viper/Atmos/Beats/Huawei and it works great. If you've never used Viper audio before, there are a quite a few parameters that can be adjusted. I'd start with Atmos, then tweak Viper to your liking.

The link I provided is an installer of Viper and Atmos. The developer has been working on the installation method for the last month or so to be compatible with most devices. I, like you, had problems with Viper and Atmos on this phone until I came across that thread. I'd highly recommend trying.

Thanks for the respons.
The link you provided IS the the one I tried.
I downloaded the first one of the 3 in the op, which was 'Dolby Atmos' downloaded it, and flashed it. Am I missing something? Can you please tell me exactly what you dl and flashed from the op of that thread?
Thanks
Edit:
OK I figured out the problem. In the very beginning of that thread The op lists Viper Atmos , Beatz, and Beatz Huawai, with a link to each of those. So I clicked on the Viper Atmos which pointed to a thread that was simply Dolby Atmos, with no Viper , nothing else, just Dolby Atmos. That's all I needed imo bec in prior phones all I would need to do is flash Dolby Atmos, without anything else, and I personally don't like/ need Viper. The way Dolby Atmos had worked prior was good with me.
But as I said Simply flashing Dolby Atmos wasn't working on this for some reason, so as I scrolled down to the very bottom of the first post, I seen all the downloads, Viper Atmos light and dark, Viper Atmos with Beatz light and dark, etc etc etc. See I thought those first 3 the op had listed at the very top were the actual downloads to his thread.
So that's why it wasn't working. Sorry about that.
I guess to get system wide improvement of sound on this device, Viper must be included.
Again, sorry for the mix up

Use the one recommended to me in post 11.
I wiped caches, flashed that zip, wiped caches.
2 apps will install Dolby Atmos and Viper. I don't mess with Viper, I actually uninstalled it. I use the Dolby Atmos app, if you go in there you'll see you can adjust the sound to your liking. You'll see what I mean when you open the app.
It def improves Audio quality.
Like I said I don't mess with the Viper app but if you want Google it. What Dolby Atmos allows me to do is enough for me tho.

Hey
Yeah I personally have no interest In Viper4android, all I really need is the Dolby Atmos app. So after I flash the mod, I uninstall Viper, I had to make sure it would mess with the mod working but it doesn't so I just uninstall it.
And use the Dolby Atmos app and edit to your liking.
I can't say what is the best. Just play with it, and find what you think sounds the best.

Sound mod for zenfone 2

Hi everyone, I have been wondering if there are any sound mod for zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) like 'Project Desire' or 'XTREMEMusic'. I tried them but I think both of them does not support intel platform. It says, 'Updated Process Ended with Error : 255'.

I don't think Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) needs sound mod? AudioWizard works well enough for me.

[FLASHABLE ZIP] ViPER4Android 2.3.4.0 + permissive zip (super, high or power saving)

I created a flashable zip for my own(just as i did for HTC One M8), so i can install it easily... because there are a lot of different versions here on XDA.
Also with newer versions i couldn't choose super audio quality and some other versions didn't work for me.
I'm on stock rooted rom... i tested it on 1.80.401.1 and 1.95.401.4
But i wanna share it here... Maybe it works for more people?
Download: [FLASHABLE ZIP] Permissive mode
Download: [FLASHABLE ZIP] ViPER4Android 2.3.4.0 (super, high or power saving) for HTC 10
Make a TWRP backup before flashing anything to be sure if something goes wrong, you just restore your backup.
Thanks very much for this. Only solution that has worked so far. I tried that AcoustiX Audio V30. However, it just doesn't give you the control that Viper4Audio does. I'm on ViperRom 3.4.0.

No media sound at all SGS8 (SM-G950F)

Hey everyone! I am new here and not really experienced, that's why i really need your help with the following:
I've rooted my device with TWRP & Magisk (by following this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbFDv8Ii7PM)
Everything went smooth without any problems.
After that I tried to install Viper4android and that's where the trouble starts.
(I followed this guide to install Viper4android: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/how-to/root-install-viper-android-galaxy-s8-s8-t3596933)
Now I do have it installed but any media sounds do not work at all on any app with or without headphones.
Rebooting or factory resetting does nothing.
My guess that it's something with audio_effects.conf or soundAlive_51 but can't know for sure.
Please help a desperate soul out :fingers-crossed:
Edit1: Interesting... media sounds works if i listen to music via chrome for example, also it seems that it works with games and audio files that are locally on the device, so basically sound doesnt work with youtube and spotify (the ones that actually matter) help?
...
what a nice helpful people here... smh
I'm having the same issue I think. Tried to flash viper, but it didn't work, so I re-enabled soundalive. It has been working fine for several weeks, but suddenly media sounds have stopped. I still get text message alerts etc, but no sound using youtube, or VLC media player playing local files. If you find a solution, please post it.
