My phone just turned off on it's own today. The minute I turn it on...5 sec. later it shuts down again. It continues to do this now all the time. I reinstalled the ROM from bootloader...no problem here
I don't think it's was the ROM (Seatone: SONE 2.1) as I went through Seatone's thread. (& yes, I hard reset after ROM install)
But what I'm trying to figure out is, which app was responsible for this event?

Checked above APP threads with no issues that match...
Not saying it's the above apps but I'm just mentioning what things I did last in order to figure this out.
Can those who's devices went through this same phenomenon please share.
Ok, use a program like AdvancedConfig to edit the display timer and see if that works.
When it starts back up again, it doesn't even get passed the flash screen.
Don't worry about that, i've reflashed the device and everything is working. What i'm wondering about is what caused it to get like this?
Might be something was wrong in the rom, preventing the phone from charging. So it might just have been empty...

I've been experiencing a very annoying bug on my Touch HD (running on the latest Energy ROMs) in the last couple of weeks. Sometimes the clock shows a wrong time. The time seems to change randomly - but the wrong time is always behind the real time, between 10 minutes and ca. 3 hours. I couldn't find any regularities when this happens, sometimes I have to readjust the time twice a day, sometimes it will work for a couple of days.
Do you have any ideas? Could it be a hardware error? (as it happens with different ROMs and also after a hard reset)
Any help is appreciated, it's quite unsettling if you can't rely on your mobile phone

That happens to me too, on Dutty's Holy Grail with Sense 2.1. I've been using the same rom since late last year, but this time bug only started a month or so ago.
Is it only happening after a sync?...Maybe your computers doing it....I know it's not likely, but it's worth asking
My colleague has same problem with blackSTONEhenge 4.3 ROM, radio 1.13.something.
He's NOT doing any PC syncing...
No, syncing with PC is definitely not a reason.
@Bodisson, I'm using radio 1.17.25.09, so it doesn't seem to be affected by the radio version.
Some days ago I discovered another strange behavior: the clock jumped to a wrong time as I turned the airplane mode on - and it switched back to the correct time immediately as I turned the airplane mode off. I couldn't reproduce this error though.
I tried the Blackstone Android version a few times, could this be a reason? These android builds are known for causing slowdowns of the clock, but I thought this only affected the running Android OS, not the actual WinMo OS?
Move to a city with full 3G coverage The bug only appears in EDGE networks. I didn't find a real solution though.

Okay so aube the official update came out I have done about 6 factory resets of my phone for one reason or another. My latest big problem wasn't fixed aster the last 2 resets. I have a permanent syncing icon next to the signal strength our wifi bars. Nothing appears to be
syncing. I went into my accounts and it said goggle was syncing the calendar sometimes and sometimes email. I turned off syncing everything and the symbol remains. I also tried restarting the phone with the signal remaining. I am clueless. I have push on and tried with out push. Any ideas?

Finally got rid of it. I did clear the cache this time again but I did try it before and still had issues. Now I don't know why my phone beeps and then vibrates when I turn the phone off. Also how do I restore a backup of locale. I did a back up but now I can't find out how to restore

My problem is the music player. Finally got the update about two days ago and the music player now glitches up and this sucks cause I've hard to reboot or remove the battery about 3 times in the last day and I workout about 2x's a day at least 45 mins to 1 1/2 each time so having this fixed for my music when I workout would be really helpful. It's the stock update and I haven't rooted or anything.

I am having the same issue. It seems that the SD card reader no longer works, because in addition to the music player not working the camera won't work either. It will take photos, but can't save them.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I also have stock updates. I am sort of a phone hack newbie, so...

Everyone here, just got my new Galaxy Note 4 yesterday.
I have encountered this issue, the Note 4 will auto restart after not using it for a while, say 10 to 30 minutes it will auto restart. At first, I thought I was accidentally pressed the power button but I put it on my table not using it for a while it will auto restart.
Latest: I used the Note 4 to call my friend in the midst of the call, the phone auto restarted.
Till now, I still not yet install any program into the phone, still in its original condition.
Anyone here know what's wrong with my Note 4? or have experienced the similar problem in your other phone? How to solve it?
Could this hardware failure or software problem?

No problems here. I suggest you do a factory reset and see if the problem still occurs. If it doesn't, one of the apps you installed is the culprit. If it does, I think you need a replacement.

In fact, I did one time factory reset but after that the Note 4 still auto restarted.
When the phone was in my hand from the shop till now I did not install any program into it.
Anyone know why the phone will auto restart?

Go back with your phone where you bought it and ask for a new one!
Maybe a faulty unit. It's their fault. You can plead a compensation tho'.

I am having the same issue, although I have installed some apps on my Note 4. Also, I tried uninstalling apps, and changed some settings. Every time it auto restarts, it reverts back to the settings from before, and shows all of the apps back on the device. I'm not sure what is going on with it, but it is extremely irritating. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm using the device or not. It's completely random.
Check to make sure your battery is seated properly (no loose contacts). Otherwise, it might be a faulty unit. A large batch of Nexus 7s had a similar issue and they all had to be sent in for a warranty repair.

I just got my phone today and I haven't put an SD card into it yet. The darn thing is still rebooting a couple of times per hour.

I took it to the samsung service they kept the phone for 5 days and finally they said nothing was wrong with it but my problem still exist. So i tried everything possible that i can try. Nothing works so far. Wat if i install N910C firmware on my N910CQ because Antutu sees it as a N910C Can some one tell me if thats ok or not.

I have had my T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 for a little over a week and I absolutely love it except for the random reboots. The phone reboots randomly, often at at night while on the charger. That is really bad because everytime it does, it wakes me with the T-mobile jingle. I have started muting the audio at night to avoid being awakened by this but that means I cannt be reached by phone while it's muted. I have cleared the cache several times with no improvement and I have done a factory reset once and the problem persists. It seems entirely random. There was one day where I had no reboots. Most days it's a couple or so and one night it rebooted about 5 times durring the night wrecking my sleep. I do use an memory card and I just removed it today as a test. So far no reboots but it's only been a couple of hours so far. This is a significant problem and any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Likewise, I will post any progress I am able to make to this forum.

I have the same problem, I do not have memory card inserted into the phone. It wakes me 3-4 times every night. The store sent it to a lab and they said that the phone is fine and does not have any problem. It drives me nuts.

I returned my Note 4 to T-Mobile and got a brand new phone, and sim card. I have all my software loaded and configured as with the old Note 4 and it's been about 36 hours now with no reboot. If it doesn't happen in the next couple of days or so, I will probably be pretty confident that the problem is solved. I'll keep you updated.
OP, is it rooted? I have the unbranded Note 4 (SM-N910H), I've had mine rooted for 2 weeks and it kept randomly rebooting twice or so every 1-2 days, now I've removed the root and everything seems to be working fine with no reboots since 1 week. I hope this helps.
P.S. I've rooted using the CF Auto root.
Anyone knows why the root was causing random reboots for me? I've tried with knox disabled and enabled and with both options I get the same reboots.
Edit: Forgot to say that most of the random reboots happened while the phone was idle (screen off)

I have the same issue .. my note 4 is auto restarting... i use gear s all the time bu connecting it with note 4 via bluetooth and the phone randomly auto restarting .. yesrterday i didn't connect the gear s all the day and the phone works all the day fine and it didn't restart .. so i really don't know what is causing this problem ! Anyone can help?
Frustrating
I have a similar issue with the Note 4.
A few back, it randomly restarted and I lost half of my contacts and settings. I thought it was a one-off occurrence and re installed all my contacts and settings. Today, it kept restarting and hasn't started again. I called ATT and have asked for a replacement.
Hope the new one shapes up better than this. It sounds like there is a hardware defect in a lot of the phones.

2 days ago I received the latest software update. Since then I've noticed a few times, after I've checked my phone and left, after 2 minutes or more the screen is still on.
Its set to turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
And... this behavior persists even after you've rebooted your phone?
OK, I've tested it twice after rebooting. Seems good now.
