[Moto X Force] - Wifi problem, moving between access points in the house - Droid Turbo 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently got an X Force under contract with O2 (UK), and have noticed a strange problem.
I have two access points in my house, both with the same SSID and password. My old phone (LG G2) held signal well around the house, but I notice with the Force that if I walk somewhere where the strength of the wifi signals is quite close, it seems to have real trouble. I lose internet connectivity, despite the phone showing me that it still has a good strong network connection.
Sometimes turning wifi off and back on will fix it, but not always.
Any ideas? I didn't have this problem at all with the G2. The phone recently updated to Android 6.0.
Thanks folks.

[Q] Motorola photon wifi issues

I have a new motorola photon 4g that I just got two weeks ago. I have been having one of two issues with it since purchase: weak wifi signal in my house, and connecting to wifi but not having internet connectivity. I have already gone to sprint service and had the phone replaced (the first one had a bad antenna) and my girl has the same phone with the same issues. I used a wifi analyzer app and the signal fluctuates as I walk down the hallway. I am only about twenty feet away from the router, and of course it connects to the sprint network in the store. Is there a problem with the software or did I just get three bad phones in a row? Can anyone help.

No data but shows h+, toggle

Hi all,
Not sure if this is a problem as my network is upgrading to 4g, but recently I have on occasion seen h+ as my data signal but the phone will not connect at all. No Internet. Emails won't sync. Nothing. I have found that a restart seems to sort it out or flight mode toggle. This didn't always work though. This has only happened recently.
Anybody else have this problem, could it be the network upgrading? (Although I have only seen 4g on my phone once in a different location and the speed was not exactly great, I have seen over 20M on H+ and 4g was about 10)
Getting a 4G signal doesn't necessarily give you good speeds. 4G in our country sucks. I get 4G signal often but my speed still hover around 0.1kb/s up to 1.2mbps, but most of the time it's only < 600kb/s. Fastest I get is only 10mbps, that is around past midnight when everybody is already asleep. And yes, I also get H+ and 4G signals with 0kb/s speed.
The speed was more an observation than anything else, the issue is the fact that I have a network signal, I have H+ being displayed but no connection, as it sometimes clears with a toggle it would point to a phone problem surely?
I also experience that, even with my previous S3.
Guys I have the same problem. I just swapped from S3 to S5. I wouldn't like to change s3 but loosing connection was happening more and more often. Usually I was loosing data signal and only solution for that was rebooting the phone. Once I had to restart it 3 times in a row. Now I have S5 since almost two weeks and I noticed that sometimes I have H+ but I can't use internet at all. It's really annoying. Is it a problem with operators or phone? I am with EE now in UK but I had s3 in Orange.

No/Weak Cellular Reception [Defective Unit]

My 32Gb Aluminium 6P had cellular connectivity issues right out of the box. But i did not discover it until 2 days later since i was on T-Mobile Wifi Calling network which was working fine.
I noticed the issue when I stepped out of my house and the phone would refuse to get any cellular reception whatsoever. I had to reboot it multiple times and search network manually for it to detect reception. And when it did (which did not last for long), it woudnt connect to LTE data, just an E/G/H or nothing.
Due to the fact that the phone desperately trying to detect reception all the time, the battery life was absolutely terrible and also caused a lot of heating.
Called up Google Support and they have issued a replacement 6P which i hope wont have any issues. :fingers-crossed:
Anybody else has a similar issue?

Edge slow to connect to mobile network?

Hi all,
I've noticed a strange problem with my S7 Edge (UK), I've tried direct comparissons with my LG G4 so I know it's not a network or SIM issue. The problem is that say I loose signal, which happens often in the wilds where I live, the LG G4 would connect pretty quick once it finds a signal again, but the S7 seems to take an absolute age to get back on the network, like 5 minutes+ to find the network again. I've tried automatic and manual network provider mode, no difference, tried 2G + 3G (no LTE where I live), no difference.
Can anyone explain or offer any advice on why this is? I find it very infuriating in that it's often quicker to go to settings, mobile network, and click automatic to have it re-register again than it is to wait for it.

Hi, have noticed this happening too...after going into some Faraday cages (school halls) and coming back out, the phone takes ages to reconnect to a data network. Fannying about with mobile networks in the settings seems to help a bit (or just wastes time)...Pretty annoying for a flagship phone.

Starting to get annoyed with the O variant phone in the UK

It's all too frequently dropping 4G or LTE connection when on the move. It's showing a connection, good strength too, but no data connection working. Often needing an airplane mode toggle or reboot to get online again.
5G is disabled as I'm nowhere near a 5G area.
Anyone got any ideas? Different firmware or something?
I'm starting to regret moving away from the SD note 10 plus I had. That phone was rock solid.

I read that some people have issues with connection with some ISP providers. Try putting it on 3G and see if it works fine then. If it does then ISP has either sn issue with 4G network or phone needs a firmware fix to solve 4G connection issue if this isn't a hardware problem thought. Since for me it works fine here and my 4G shows all time and I even have 4G+ as status without an issue.
try disabling WiFi calling that helped in my case
Tried all that. Went into a town and it didn't again.. Had to force it onto 4g to get a connection.

Haven't had any issues myself, on giffgaff. Tried O2 briefly, it seemed okay too.

Give this app a try, might help fixing it to one band
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ray.samsungbandselection
Yes u have that thanks. It seems to be band switching that's the problem. Or is it possible my carrier has live but unused bands that the phone is locking into? So when I travel I find myself with a dead data connection?
