Problem with "Mobile network" menù - Huawei P8 Questions & Answers

Hi, I've flashed the B200 version of my Huawei P8, succesfully.
Now my problem is that I can't change the connection to use (2G, 3G, 4G) because I can't go to the "Mobile network" menù.
When I click on it, the menù disappears and reappears automatically in the main page of the menù and I can't enter in that section.
Also, I don't have the "Customized version" string when I go to the info about telephone.
Why?

Solved by flashing the CUST version of it

More than 1000 Global Carriers Configuration

I decided to open a new thread because there are many questions/doubts about APN `s configurations after custumized rom`s instalation.
I'm not sure it will work because I can only see my brand, so please try and indicate which/whom do not work so i can make changes to make available to users.
Steps:
1. Download "APN Backup & Restore" on market Market (free);
2. If you already have your correct settings do a backup first (i´m not responsible if you don`t);
3. Create a folder in the root of sdcard "ApnBackupRestore" if you haven`t done any backup before;
4. Copy file attached to the folder you`ve just created (unzip that);
5. Press the "Restore APN`s " Button.
It will begin to install the file and if all goes as expected, without error and have Internet access;

What about standard in X10 function in settings - Settings > Sony Ericcson > Settings download? I have Global World FW, but this function automatically gave me two sets of settings for my carrier's - T-Mobile GPRS and t-zones GPRS. I haven't upgraded to any dataplan since use wifi, so I can not say they are working, but I compared with settings at the forum - they look correct. Are there any exceptions for using this standard way?

Above settings are for the Bulgarian mobile operator MTel. Not sure if there is MTel in Bosnia...
Edit: apparently there is MTel there (actually "M:Tel" : as per wikipedia. This operator is apparently known as M:Tel and it has nothing to do with the Bulgarian MTel.

what should I do? the zip contains 2 files, settings 1 and settings 2. Settings 1 runs fine, but my carrier settings are on Settings2. I extracted both files at the same time.
Then on APN program choose just the other XML file.
You don't need to install both.

Nothing. I tried to copy the code to the file that was "ok" but when I tried to restore it the same message appeared.
Tried to run the original file with my carrier settings and nothing else in the folder, but same message.
I input the settings manually through settings>wireless and network>mobile networks>Access Point Names
hi,i'm going to Philippines for vacation and i would like to use my x10 there(for email and recived calls coz my parents want pics of grandkids,right away)anyway,i'm in japan but my x10 is rooted and planing to install any cm6 room with cam fix,coz now i use custom 2.1 rom but cm6 looks nicer.the only thing i use from docomo(carrier , provider)is the apn.
since i've been trying different roms i have apn backuprestore with docomo settings. my questions are:
1.i already have a apn backup file/folder on my sd card with docomo settings;do i have to put the settings of globe prepaid there too?all together?
2.if not,how the apn backup will read the globe settings?or i need to do it manually.
3.no need of stk.apk ,right?
4.last question i think,when i tried cm6 by wolfbreak 4.3 version i think,i didn't need the apn app coz it found my carrier apn by itself.it means would do the same for globe apn?
5.if i need to unlock my sim in the first place myb all my question above are for nothing.sorry if i wasted anybody's time.
peace

DFT Android ROM for HTC LEO
===========================
This ROM was created on stock HTC Desire ROM base.
Main goals was to make ROM as close as possible to HTC Desire official stock rom.
i even copied what the thread said here http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948&highlight=problem+mms but it still didnt work
Hi,
You need to Google for your carriers APN settings and enter them correctly in Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Add New.
What you might want to try is following the above instruction but instead of delete the setting, press the menu button while in APN Settings and select reset defaults. then reselct your provider's setting from the list. You might need to toggle airplane mode on and off to re-establish a connection.
Depending on your carrier there are size limits to what you can send.
For instance, mine is 300kb on T-Mobile, you can adjust the size settings if you go into messaging, menu, settings, down to mms settings, try changing to 600 first, if not change to 300
(This is all dependant on you having the correct settings, if you do, try my advice)
thanks guys..i had to google my settings and found unlockr.com had them
thanks or all informations

Mobile data not working on ICS-Leo-2.6.8 ported by smokin901

Hello,
I need help to fix my mobile data network problem. I installed rom 2.6.8 and everything is working fine except the data network. WiFi is working fine.
Do I need to re-install the rom again and if so then I loose all settings and lot of stuff to be re-installed.
Can anyone help me to restore my data network? Please help.
I don't think you have to re-install everything. you only have to set up an APN.
Go to Settings, under Mobile networks, then choose Access Point Names.
you can see at least the original one provided by your carrier (in my case it was Turkcell internet).
if you can, stay in this screen and press the bottom left button, the menu key.
then you should see a menu bar show up at the bottom of the screen, with 2 choices: "chose your APN" or "Reset to default".
just hit "reset to default", then it will start running and within seconds you can see the APN has changed!
If you want, reboot your phone and coming up again!!!!
I hope that it can be usefull for you..

powerofthink, what I did is manually put all APN data and it worked.
Many thanks for your suggestion.
congrat
But this time, you have to use some backup program like Mybackup pro or titanium Backup in order to backup your data and programs.
I do need some serious help. I had to add APN manually on any HWA ICS rom, MIUI, Paranoid Android or Tytung's CM9. and after adding APN manually and rebooting the phone or switching on then off the airplane mode brings on the mobile data. everything was working fine until last three days, no mobile data is coming live. don't know why but it is terribly disturbing. I have tried every possible way to brings back the mobile data, from resetting back to default to installing ROM freshly, all three variants of rom - MIUI latest, Paranoid Android 1.4a and Tytung's version 2.2. But mobile data is not coming on - whether in default APN setting or entering APN manually - no help.
I tried the same SIM on another phone and mobile data works fine, so my operator has no problem at their side.
Can anyone help me to fix it on my HD2. I am really troubled here.
Did you make a fresh install or just installed over your ROM?

D802 Problem setting up LTE

Hi there, I would appreciate some help right now cause I've been searching around and couldn't find any solution so far.
First of all I suppose I should start with saying I'm using stock ROM D80220b-EUR-XX, rooted+custom recovery+xposed framework.
I'm having problems setting up LTE. When I'm using the 3845#*802# code and trying to choose LTE only I get a message "Not supported".
If I try the *#*#4636#*#* and change to LTE/WCDMA/GSM I instantly get 4G, but it will not stay after a restart.
Also, when I go into "Mobile networks" it never shows "LTE" in the sub menu, the phone automatically change back to the "WCDMA preferred" option in the 4636 hidden menu and "4G" changes to "H".
Is there any way to fix this? Or the only way to fix it is flashing a new ROM?
I had a similar issue but with Cloudy G3 Rom.
All I had to do was with a file explorer like Root Browser, went into system/app and deleted LTEodex.apk and LTEconfig.apk (think these are the names) and rebooted.
Now everything is fine and 4G sticks when I chose it.
I found 2 files over there:
LTEconfig.apk
LTEconfig.odex
I renamed them to:
LTEconfig.apk.bak
LTEconfig.odex.bak
instead of deleting them and it did not work, perhaps I should move them to another folder cause I don't want to just delete them.
