HTC Desire 820 Single-SIM won't boot - Desire 820 General

Hi All,
I have seemingly broken my system partition and can't boot into Android.
The phone always boots to the bootloader.
Fastboot, Hboot, and stock recovery all work.
Factory reset works, but fixes nothing.
Flashing TWRP works, but it fails to boot into the recovery and returns to the bootloader.
I do not have S-off. I cannot try the Sunshine S-off as I cannot boot the phone.
I have tried flashing a matching stock rom (easy-firmware com/index.php?a=browse&b=category&id=722), but it fails as it has a different CID.
This is my getvar output.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen a working TWRP for your device model.
Which twrp have you tried? Did you unlock your bootloader?

Yes, bootloader is unlocked.
I've tried a few of the recoveries on the 820 forums, though I don't remember exactly which ones now.
Edit: This one: "Desire 820 (all models with MSM chipset) TWRP 2.8.7.0"
The working recovery I have is not my original stock one, but one I found on the forums.
Edit: I guess I should mention what I did to break it:
Before I knew the the 820s was dual-sim, I followed these instructions: "[Desire 820s][A50ML]Root - CWM Recovery - Stock Roms - Stock Rom Flashable Zip"
I rooted the phone with Kingroot, but nothing stuck after a reboot.
So without thinking, I flashed a boot img that was meant to allow permanent root onto a partition - thus breaking the system.
I find it disappointing when manufacturers make multiple versions of the same device and I have the one with the least development.
Do you know of anything else I can do to fix the system on the phone?

From the description of above, it seems the variant of a 820n.

Thanks for that tomal.
I'll give it a go sometime and return with the result.

Hey tomal, I've successfully restored my phone by flashing the right firmware. Thanks for finding it.
Do you know if it is possible to permanently root or s-off this model?
Kingroot works, but system changes are reverted on reboot.
The modified boot.img and twrp recoveries found on the forum don't work and make the phone unbootable, until I flash the stock img back onto it.

G5 Plus Hard bricked after flashing wrong ROM

I have Indian Set.
These are the things I did:
Unlocked Bootloader [Successful]
Flashed TWRP [Successful]
Tried to install Custom ROM and Failed because TWRP was 32 bit.
Installed 64 bit TWRP [Successful]
Flashed Custom ROM but was draining lot of battery; so I decided to get back to Stock.
Flashed flashable stock ROM from TWRP from here. [NPNS25.137-92-4 (20180101 security patch)] [Successful]
Which was the Wrong ROM; I guess.
After Flashing the ROM, IMEI showed : 0. So there were no signal.
Tried to fix IMEI after seeing YouTube video using GS_II_Repair app.
The app was for Samsung Galaxy S II. The YouTube video didn't mention it. So. I followed the video.
This HardBricked the phone. [no sign of life, no bootloader, no recovery, no booting menu, just LED light flashing after connecting to charger].
I used Albus Blank Flash to get to Bootloader Menu.
I tried to install the Stock Firmware using fastboot. The flashing Process is successful but the device shows "Bootloader Unlocked Warning" in a loop.
This is what I get of

flash any other bootloader logo.bin then it wont show up that bootloader unlocked warning, even though it shows like that it should not pose any problem you should be fine installing any twrp stock rom or custom oreo rom.
but if you had lost imei due to moving from oreo to stock rom then just flash any custom oreo rom (recent ones) and use these 2 commands fastboot erase modemst1,fastboot erase modemst2 then boot into the oreo rom you will have your signal back but for now volte is lost if your network provider supports volte.
wish u good luck.

How to restore a borked M9+ from a non-borked device

Hi.
I have two HTC M9+ phones, one is the rose gold type and the other is gunmetal, details below:

(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.01.0000

On the gunmetal one I installed TWRP and rooted it, but being a noob I didn't fully update it first and now I can't take an OTA. My whole approach was wrong I think. I'd like to get the gun metal one back to stock and start again and was wondering if I could use the working one to do so. I did a lot of research trying various ways to back up the working phone:
Trying to boot CWM via fastboot boot so I could create a backup. Apparently this won't work on this phone.
Trying MTKDroidTools / SPFlash, but it seems the MTK6795 isn't supported with those tools
Using ADB to backup, but since my phone is not rooted it will not work. From what I understand if the phone is rooted and/or the root partition was mounted read/write you won't be able to take an OTA so this method wont work either.
Is there another method I am missing where I could backup my entire working phone to flash the one I messed up? I know RUU is a possibility but I'd really like to go this route instead as all most of the locations to download RUU's seem a bit sketchy. Should I even be concerned with this if I can find a signed RUU?
THanks for any help.

Returning to stock with no recovery or OS - only download mode?

Hey,
I think I have truly messed my device up - I was running another ROM for a while and wanted to return to stock. After many hours of stupid decisions, I am left with a phone that has no recovery or OS, and is bootloader locked. Here are my vars.
$ fastboot getvar all
(bootloader) kernel: lk
(bootloader) product: htc_oceuhl
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) max-download-size: 1578400000

(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 2PZF10000
(bootloader) cid: HTC__034
Any tips on what to do?
So I think I can install an OTA via the sdcard and download mode, however
(bootloader) version-main: 2.21.401.12
is stopping me. For some reason the version is higher than any OTA I can find?! I know there is a tool to change this version, however it relies on adb (and I think root).

Hi,
if you're able to access the phone via fastboot, you can try the following method:

Greetings

Can not find STOCK ROM for HTC U Ultra

Yesterday I wanted to flash LineageOS for my HTC Ultra. I used the ROM for 17.1 provided by tarkzim. Everything worked untill I tried to flash the unofficial GApps.
This put me in a bootloop and so to solve this problem I continued to flash LineageOS 16 with the official GApps. This worked fine! At least I thought.
After playing around with some apps, I noticed a lot of bugs and after a while I decided I wanted to flash back the original ROM.
However, I can not find the original ROM for the HTC U Ultra anywhere on the internet. The links that I did found, had outdated download links which do not work anymore. The ROM I am looking for has to be for the htc_oceauhl. I got the output below from the fastboot getvar all command.
Code:
(bootloader) kernel: lk
(bootloader) product: htc_oceuhl
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) max-download-size: 1578400000
(bootloader) serialno:
(bootloader) slot-count: 0
(bootloader) current-slot:
(bootloader) imei: 355166080417934
(bootloader) version-main: 2.21.401.1
(bootloader) boot-mode: download
(bootloader) version-baseband: [email protected]
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 2PZF10000
(bootloader) cid: HTC__034
I hope someone can help me to install back the original ROM on my HTC U Ultra. I expect it is just flashing it through TWRP again?
If it is, that brings me to another problem:
Everytime I flash TWRP and start it up, my computer can not access the files on it. It will just keep loading. This mean I can not copy any files to my phone from my pc. Also abd sideload will not work.
However, it is possible to copy files when I install the TWRP by tarkzim at: https://forum.xda-developers.com/u-ultra/development/rom-lineageos-17-0-t3970921.
Can anyone help me through the process of flashing back the stock ROM? I am kinda stuck right now :/
