I've got a nxt al10 mate 8 coming (first android) what are the benefits of flashing it. Also what's the choice version to flash it to comsindering mine is 64gb in Australia (3G,4g and lte networks) and I'll be using the dual sim function.

As far as i know al10 has chinese firmware without google services and play store. So that's why you need to flash it to international firmware l29.
well, either that or u can install the google services manually good thing about chinese firmware is it gets frequent updates whereas L29 users are somewhat left behind...

What about English for some of the Huawei proprietary voice control stuff?? Is all in Chinese on the AL10....is it good enough and in English on L29 to possibly be handy??
If flashing a different version ,lets say l29 to al10, will unlock some of the lte bands?
unlock LTE bands? theres just one band difference betweem the two they both have the same number of bands, just that one differs...

I have a P8 Lite. I got it as a company phone. I was happy, I don't need to carry 2 phones, but... the 2nd SIM is blocked by the SW. Great :S

I already opened the Bootloader.
Another question: if I will have 2 working SIM trays, but I have 2 diferent mobile provider. After I change the software on the phone, it will be sim-free?

i came to a ALE-L21C02B898 EMUI 4.1.3 Android 6.0 Patch-Ebene 6.Nov. 2017 Build BalongV8R1SFT
Baseband 22.355.09.00.00 CUSTC02D001 Vodafone branding ...... no sim is accepted
I cannot detect any damage to the SIM port ( micro-sim ) so i assume somebody flashed something wrong - balong bug?
I really tryed to read a lot but this single/double sim and flashing a ssim phone to dsim is really confusing.
All i want is one functional sim. I dont knew if the bootloader is unlocked because the unlocking tool on the HUAWEI website disappeared.
I think if i want to wipe the phone i should start with ALE-L21 20V100R001C432B049 and can end with ALE-L21C432B597
but in this state they are not accepted yet.
can somebody please help?

As the IMEI suggests:

I installed the version "H870DS30a_00_OPEN_HK_DS_OP_0920.kdz"
But I cannot pick up any network even by changing SIM card and operator. Under Android 8, I did not have the "dual SIM" function operational, nor the Quad DAC (normal because it is a 32GB version which does not have it), but the phone worked perfectly. I don’t understand what’s going on.
This 32GB version seems "weird" to me, it has both H870 and H870DS characteristics.
The Dual SIM function apparently works well (for each card inserted, it asks me for the PIN code), activating the Quad DAC causes a Bug, this is normal because this model does not have it, so why the Soft offers it?
I summarize :
Under Android 8 it behaves like an H870, under Android 9 like an H870DS but with blocked carriers. . .
I would like to point out that I am in France, and that this is a Hong Kong model, but under Android 8, it worked perfectly. . .
I want to go back to the Android 8 version, but I can't remember which version there was.
Which one should I take?

Hi dear xda forum members, I have a question about huawei p10+, recently I read on the web that my used phone is eligible for update to Emui 9.0
So the story began yesterday when I contacted support to ask for update, the agent told me the phone is originated from spain and forwarded me, then I talked with the spanish agent, after checking serial number and imei, he told me that the phone is from the operator Movistar
Now I would like to know whether there is an update released by movistar spain for this phone, and how I can update my device without bricking it.
