At what section did this ROM stop?
And what is the details of your original phone firmware: AP + CP + CSC ?
Did you run Odin3.exe as Admin?

this will take a wile...
if you have a running linux distro than use tar xvf <filename> to extract the tar file
factoryfs.img
cache.img
hidden.img
boot.bin
modem.bin
param.lfs

Flashable through download mode?
Will be interesting to see the differences. Guess its a country variant?

Flashing this now to see what happens. Wish us luck.
Flipping hell! Just had a screen come up asking for a password after flashing so I typed in my lockscreen password and that worked. Was a bit worried I bricked it for a second.
Ok, it's a non-wipe flash update. Programs and TW4 layout still intact after flash. Maybe placebo but seems like it was a performance improvement update.
Flashed with Odin3 v1.83, just put the unzipped file in the PDA without any .pit file and flashed.

Sorry I'm new to android and I've noob question
What do you mean:
1. ...to a tar file.
Do I have to create a file or it will be included with the download file or what?
2. Put the phone in to Download mode ready for flashing.
Is this Debbuging Mode?

Inside the 300MB .zip file is a 500MB .tar file. You only need to extract the zip and not the tar (which is also a archive format).
It's not debugging. Follow the instructions below that link and you'll see what it means . It's non-destructive, just power the phone off or remove the battery to restart the phone again.

Maybe clearer in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13712988#post13712988
Ooops, didn't see your guide when I looked in the ROM forum earlier Intratech.
You're welcome to add my Hotfile links in your thread.
I couldn't download from Megaupload earlier, limit reached for free users so i grabbed the ROMS from the Samsung server.
Can I flash the SIM free one on an O2 phone? Is the only difference the splash screens?

It's ok, I made it here and I think one of the mods got confused and moved it or something. No biggie.
Thanks to an awesome member, David Horn, we are getting a fast host setup to host firmware and will be testing it shortly.
I'll knick the O2 firmware off you and link it in that thread.

It will change the sales code to generic UK code, XEU, and remove all the O2 branding. It will not unlock the phone though.
Mujja, Intratech thanks for that. I have this done.

[Q] Update using Mobile Odin Pro

Hi,
I have a rooted SM-G900F (Galaxy S5).
Today, my phone downloaded an OTA update to go from PDA:G900FXXU1ANG9 CSC:G900FOXX1ANG5 MODEM:G900FXXU1ANG8 to PDA:G900FXXU1ANJ1 CSC:G900FOXX1ANJ1 MODEM:G900FXXU1ANJ1

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The file is an update.zip of about 95Mo in /Cache/Fota.
I thought I should be able to install it with Mobile Odin Pro to not loose Root rights.
But no way, Mobile Odin does not recognize the file from menu "OTA / Update Zip" or from "Open File after copying the file from /Cache/Fota to a folder than Mobile Odin can see.
Message : This is not an OTA / Update Zip file ! ZIP files containing partitions are nor supported. Do you want to extract the ZIP file instead ?
If I click extract, I get : An unknown error occurred during extraction.
So, do I apply this update by clicking on it (see capture) ? will I loose Root Rights ? Or will Mobile Odin Pro detect it and apply it itself preserving Root rights ?
I also downloaded G900FXXU1ANJ1_G900FOXX1ANJ1_G900FXXU1ANJ1_HOME.tar.md5 from Sammobile
So if I apply it with Mobile Odin, will I keep all my applications, contacts, SMS, .... or does it revert to a basic stock ANJ1 rooted rom ?
Regards

Just download the whole new rom from Sammobile and flash that with Mobile Odin Pro and delete all OTA, FOTA and Firmware_Update files in /system/app/ and /system/priv-app/. BTW Forget about OTA`s and Kies when you are rooted or you`ll get into trouble.

When flashing my smartphone I get an error (S_DA_EMMC_FLASH_NOT_FOUND)
Can I copy the scatter.txt from RC5 to whichever ROM i want as long as it is for the same phone? Basically I have the RC5 but I experienced that the battery is horrible so I wanted to try a different newer OS. Somehow there is an error installing via TWRP the other roms I have in zip but flashtool works fine. These files do not have a scatter-file though.
Thank`s for the instructions
I will thank for the instruction, because I breaked my phone while trying to flash madOS 8.1.0 (update from april). Before my Jiayu S3 basic (16 GB, 2 GB) worked fine with madOS 8.1 from 2017-12-30. I surely made a big mistake, therefore the phone was dead - no reaction any more.
I found this solution to flash back the stock rom 5.1.1 with twrp. Phone is alive and works.
I think, I have done a big mistake, because all trials to flash madOS 8.1 from april ended with boot into TWRP. I tried flashing to madOS for a long time, isn`t possible any more. Maybe also my old phone has a failure.
Therefore I have to thank for Your excellent work. Thanks.
Hi!
I'm trying to flash my S3Adv. (3GB RAM, Kitkat, TWRP 2.8.4.0) with madOS_8.1.0_s3_h560_20180422.zip, but, the "Zip signature verification failed". Before, the MD5 sum is checked and matches. I also checked the file with "zip -T" on my Linux machine and it reports "OK". When the "Zip file signature verification" is turned off, TWRP reports "error executing updater binary in zip ..." What's going wrong? Anybody here who can help?
Thanks in advance
Frank
Nearby: I wiped system, dalvik, cache and data.
Solution:
- Install Flash Tool
- Flash Android 5.1.1 (RC5_S3_16GB.zip)
- Start 5.1.1 to do a basic configuration
- Boot into TWRP recovery which was included in RC5
- Install twrp_20180417.img
- Boot into TWRP recovery
- Install madOS_8.1.0_s3_h560_20180422.zip
(a full wipe is, may be, necessary, but, I don't know, when the full wipe should be done within my procedure - I did it earlier)

S6 edge SM-G925 not booting at all !

Hello,
I woke up one day, and I wanted to open my s6 edge, but did not boot up at all (black screen).... I took it to someone to fix it, he messed up (it seems he installed wrong firmware ). When i put the phone to charge it, nothing show up.
But when I link it with PC via USB, I got this photo:

The only option i have now is to install fireware via Odin, but I do not know the origin of this phone ( it says only on the back made in vietnam) to install the correct on, i only rember this phone was running with android 6.
Even downloading mode does not work only if i plug the phone via USB:
