Problem with X1 camera

Hi all,
I use Itje's Touch-IT version 7 and my camera is misbehaving. Sometimes when I take a picture, it takes about 30 secs before the camera is ready for the next shot. Worst still I'm unable to view the JPG pictures with windows explorer. When I display albums I see the pictures but when I view them through touch IT I see only color bars. When I download them to my laptop the same thing happens. First the images appear well then one by one they become colored bars. Is there any reason for this? And oh, my video clips cannot be read as well.
Any pointers to how to view these pics and solve the problem will be appreciated.
TIA
best thing to do in this situation is address it where you found it. ask in the
v7 thread or actually do a search before you ask. also before you do any of this, 1st take into consideration was this worth a new thread?

Let's all be nice to each other. It's only bytes.
I'm having the same problem with pictures taking forever to save occasionally, but with stock R2AA. Might just be because I have too many things running.
Thanks for the support. Actually I did perform a search but did not get a suitable answer. In my case there weren't many things running and I doubt if the active data connection was the problem. The real problem is how the thumbnail previews appear well but the full view always fails.
The camera version is 6.5 (build 34231). Will check the forums for anything ontoward with this build.
Thanks once again.

I've started wondering whether the geotagging function might cause delays, e.g. as the phone is getting a gps lock? Shot in the dark but might be worth turning off geotagging (if you ever had it on).
Agreed this belongs in the v7 thread...
Would help if you told us whether you were using the HTC canera or the Sony Ericsson camera.
My guess would be you're using the HTC camera and have it set to 5MP when it only supports 3.
I'm sorry I posted here instead of the v7 thread. You guessed right though. I'm using the HTC camera but I've set the resolution to 3M. Geotagging might be the issue. I'm going to remove it and replace it with the SE camera. I've lost quite a bit of good photos which can't be repaired.

[Tip] Avoid bright flash while taking picture with Camera

Here is a small tip to use Camera with normal flash...
Turn on the 'Torch Application' (should be installed) which will turn on the LED flash in regular mode...then start camera application with NO-FLASH setting...start taking pictures...finally you can use the camera with the regular flash.
Trikanth
Useful but not clever ... i hope we'll find out a true solution.
HTC beta-testers, we are.
thanks...will try it out...
This has already been suggested, in the thread discussing the camera flash.

I dont think this option exists in the S4. I have the i9505 but it should be the same. The only option that would be close would be the vignette filter, but its not really the same. You could just use an editing/camer app to add the effect, Camera360 has a tiltshift feature which creates a similar effect.

Well apparently. ...the S4 camera is smart enough to judge a macro image...and its suppose to focus automatically. ..buuuut we all know that's a flop....I recommend Camera FV5....its paid...but you will definitely like it....it can directly focus macro and blur the background. ...just follow the on screen tutorial...hope this helps
I just took this to see, and all I did was tap on the muffin and let the auto focus do the work. If it was angled at the ground it wouldn't blur, there needs to be distance significant enough to cause the natural blurring.
Not much help but it's not an add on or anything just how you line it up.

Unlock Exposure, Manual Focus and other Camera functions

Hey, in this guide is a instruction to unlock some hidden camerafeatures on redmi devices :
Unlock Camera Features i want to try it for our redmi pro omega and figured out, that the xml has moved from internal miuisystem.apk file, to #/system/etc/device_features/omega.xml . Now, if i change some things, like in the introduction from the link, the camera shows the features. Some of them working, like tiltshift and other mods, but the important ones (for me) like exposure, manual focus and live hdr, does not . The features are shown and can be activated, but the camera took a normal photo. Now, i hope someone can help me with this. I bought the phone, because of the camera and thought it has included this settings, because the special thing on this phone is the camera. The important features for me are workig livehdr and exposure settings.
Try one more thing, add this lines at the end of build.prop:
#Camera2 API
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
If still not work with stock camera app, try it with another app like Snapcamera HDR.
how to keep the changes made to the xml file as it keep getting back to original when i reopen the xml
My phone is redmi note 8 pro .in my phone there is one problem in camera .my back camera is have some problem .it can't focus the photo
