Probably during Q1 2016. Source

M9 started receiving 6.0
I expected that we will be first
because we didn't receive 5.1.1 update .... really very disappointed from HTC with m9+
Sent from my HTC One M9PLUS using Tapatalk

HTC are horrible with their updates. The M9 is more widely spread than the M9+, though since our phone is newer I would have expected them to at least release the update at the same time.
Too bad devs aren't working on this phone, HTC is a real disappointment...

"HTC are horrible with their update" ??? Look at Samsung, Sony, LG, etc. Actualy HTC is the fastest with updates. M9+ will be updated in feb. or march if everything will be ok.

Nop bro we got MM update on the G4 1 month ago already, but we lack good devs for the stock LG MM,only one is actually active, there are tons of CM 13 though.
I think HTC will release it on M9 because it was more sold, and as a flashship it ''has'' to be served 1st, the good side for M9+ users is that M9 users will have to pay for the bugs while you will get an ironed out rom
BTW do you know if M9+ Supreme Camera can use custom roms from M9+?

On HTC USA site, there are update 6.0 ready to be downloaded.
Just browser HTC ONE M9 USA NEWS
I can't post a link here as I am a new on forum and can't post links in first 10 posts.

Sorry, my error.

It seems there are no M9+ phones on USA market at all.
So since the update for M9 is only available in USA, and not on other parts, I guess the same time when update for M9 is received in Europe, there will be one for M9+ also.

That's the #htcadvantage
Yup, just saw the announcement on the official HTC Facebook.
Says 90days after the google source is released the M7 will have "L"
Great to see HTC throwing updates like this LAST gen phones.
Does anyone know if google is planning on releasing the L source code for the developer's preview or only the Nexus 5/7 factory images?

For what I've observed from Google I/O ,android L developer preview will be initially available only for nexus 5/7..
As this will be a test build only,I don't think Google will release factory images for other devices.. Other nexus devices n gpe might see the light some days later but not any soon

I don't think that would happen as porting means copying features of one device to another which are at same android version. So some features might be available but complete rom can hardly be available. Again We have different hardware config from nexus devices so hardware driver won't be available as well.
yay.. finally some good news.
I can't wait to try Android L on my m7!

According to a message posted by HTC's Mo Versi on Twitter, the metal-clad flagship smartphone will be getting an update starting tomorrow that brings with it Android 4.4.4 along with the latest HTC Eye Experience software that was announced alongside the HTC Desire Eye.
The software will bring features like enhanced face tracking, split capture, and more.

Has anybody received the OTA yet? It is assumed that the update will be rolled out gradually to unlocked M8s. No exact date was given on when carrier editions will see the update and Eye software, but the devs here at XDA will probably have it ported in no time!

This is so exciting, time to flash sense back on, had a good run with GPE.
Don't we have the M8 Updates thread for this?
It's already ported, check the dev forum

The specs are more than capable to handle android M. And desire 820 isn't that old, in fact 820s was released this year & it would probably get the update for sure unless HTC decides to screw up.

Update will be available around Januari-Februari 2016. Very good of HTC for the support at 8xx series.
Lets get lollipop first before we get excited...............
Still waiting for the Lollipop Update for this device which is scheduled 2015 Q4. Hope this Android M won't be as much delayed as lollipop
Read before posting. HTC D820 won't get Lollipop update. It will get directly Marshmallow and Sense 7 after M8 & M9 maybe at the end of 2015.
Can't wait to see the update!
Seems HTC cares about it's users more than the companies which do not update their softwares ever.

Will the M9+ get Android 7.0 Nougat?

Thanks to HTC's hard work, we've finally receive the long awaited Marshmallow updates. With that said, there's another question that is left unanswered. Will HTC continue to support this device with the new Android, the Nougat 7.0?
Nope. This is a worst phone from HTC I've ever had
No... The update was supposed to come in Q1 as stated by an offical HTC employee, so if that is the case then it will be cutting it pretty close. So much for the "90-day update promise"
You can check this link to see if the update sources have been released for the M9+:

It is frustrating not to have the 6 update yet, but ultimately there isn't that much you are missing out on. Plus, I value the fingerprint button, so I definitely don't wish I had the M9.

I love this phone too, even though the fingerprint button seems to fail sometimes forcing me to use PIN (dunno why)... anyway I haven't seen any lag so far and I am definetelly happy with the performance... So maybe I'll have to wait a bit longer for the M update, but that's just something that happens and does not mean this phone is a piece of crap at all...

Don't hold your breathe, MTK is notorious about bad update support, even HTC can change little about this. I'd be surprised if it happens in April

Hopefully. This is very amazing phone and the fingerprint is awesome, with M it will be better for all the additional functions. Hopefully the upgrade will be released soon. I remember that one important developer published a roadmap foe the upgrade and for my one was the Q1 2016. I am a bit disappointed for this because some old phone already got it, but I live HTC because the smartphone are the best one.

Yup... Second that.
But.....
I would look forward to receiving the update very soon.
I recalled the device, ONE X9, got the android M with MTK chip(MT6795T) same as M9+.
Stay tuned.....
They are focusing on the most sold devise now . M8 & M9 ( M9 the one I trade it for the plus . )
Hope we'll receive the update before the launch of the #powered10 , otherwise sense 8 should be considered
Hi there!
I'm actually thinking to buy an M9 plus supreme camera edition and I was just searching about the Android 6.0 update...I hope this is just a delay and that the updated with eventually comes out. By the way I have 3 questions about this phone and I'm sorry if I'm out of topic but I think that I can find some users here better than open a new thread.
1) I'm in Italy and here this phone is imported, not officialy sold by HTC so what about warranty? I can manage to buy one a used one from a guy but then I'll be totaly uncovered?
2) Standard M9 has Qualcomm 810 which get hot but should performs well, this M9 plus supreme camera has a mediatek Helio x10, how does it perform? I want HTC also because software responsiveness is one of the best on android phones.
3) My operator carrier operates on 4G with these frequences: 800 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2600 MHz while the HTC one M9 plus supreme camera supports
FDD-LTE:B1 (2100MHz)/ B3 (1800MHz)/ B5 (850MHz)/ B7 (2600MHz)/ B8 (900MHz)/ B28 (700MHz)
TD-LTE:B38 (2600MHz)/ B39 (1900MHz)/ B40 (2300MHz)/ B41 (2600MHz)
So basycally it miss the 800 Mhz would that be a problem?
battery performance is very bad... we want 6.0...
Just bought today an HTC One M9 plus supreme camera edition and as for this very start moments I do like it, it seems very very fast. It's running android 5.0.2, I don't know if it's the last version avaible for this phone. I suggest that we start asking HTC directly when 6.0 update will comes out!!

Did you get Oreo update already?

Googling about this topic, I can see expected release dates for U11 and U10, but not for U ultra... when the h*ll are they planning to deploy the OTAs? It's been seven months since Oreo went GA... the 2014 Nexus 6 I left behind two months ago, had a newer android version on it (7.0.1)... okay, it was a Nexus, but a 2014 one...
Cheers.
They said until the end of the month... We'll be waiting for another week at least...

theres still no news on google about it or anywhere i look so its very ush ush
nice, finally. hope it won't take too long to spread to other markets.
can anyone provide a screenshot of the changelog?
which security patch level is it?
i know, the chances are minimal, but maybe someone could check treble support? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kevintresuelo.treble
thanks!
Screenshot or it never happened.
lots of people on the htc u ultra group on facebook have screenshots https://www.facebook.com/groups/1180454748729142/?fref=nf

Here's the screenshot. No support for Treble unfortunately New icons are quite ugly, but system is snappier and there are more settings in menu.
Good news. LEts hope that it will spread in europe soon also.
