Features
Luuk up CyanogenMod 13.0 in the net. This ROM is just a build of current CM13 sources, with support added for jactivelte. In future, optimizations might be added.
Bugs
A lot, probably. But what i know:
no SIM detected
exfat sdcard support seems to be broken
camera is probably as broken as it is with CM12.1
other stuff? You tell me

New build, cm-13.0-20151225_182928-UNOFFICIAL-jactivelte, uploading. Just repo sync and this one should work with multirom

Really good work. Whit multirom i can test, even if the best will be whit functional sim of course. ?
Send from somewhere... or not?

Just for understanding: why is sim and exfat broken? Couldnt we use the s4 source-tree as the hardware is identical in most parts? Or is it broken, too? Sorry, maybe a am thinking too simple as a am no developer

Source tree and vendor props are same as in regular S4, which makes me think that maybe jactive's bootloader or modem is somehow different... i'm flashing newest Samsung rom to see if updating modems and whatever else helps with that. If not, then use ril stuff from CM12.1.
As for exfat, maybe it's not implemented yet? I think this was the case with CM12 also, exfat took some time to get implemented as it needs extra libs and packages.

Did someone already tried to flash a modem for s4? How high are the chances, that it will brick a s4 active? Maybe that is the key to a working sim?

I tried flashing S4 modems at some point, like a year ago and as i recall, it's not even possible to flash them. Some kind of checksum fails and flashing fails before actually flashing the file. This was with Heimdall so i don't know what Odin does. If the checksum check is done on receiving end, then it doesn't matter what flasher is used.
Edit: oh and i flashed latest available Samsung rom, I9295XXUDOI5_I9295TIMDOI1_TIM.zip. No change with CM13 RIL, no SIM detected. But ran into problems with TWRP, it started failing due to selinux declining recovery access to lots of things, had to compile new TWRP with selinux in permissive mode...
I also reverted some vendor blobs to CM12.1 state, but no help. I took a logcat and noticed that selinux was denying access to binaries related to RIL... needs more investigation.

Well it seems flashing OI5 was a mistake, since now CM13 won't boot without using adb shell to set selinux to permissive mode... i'll need to see if i can downgrade somehow.

Downgraded to OB4, at least i think i did. I flashed aboot.mbn, modem.bin, NON-HLOS.bin, rpm.mbn, sbl1.mbn, sbl2.mbn, sbl3.mbn and tz.mbn (sbl1.mbn is from NK4 rom as OB4 doesn't have that file). No change, my phone simply refuses to boot all of the CM13 builds because selinux denies stuff. On the other hand, CM12.1 and SlimLP beta 10 work fine, so something weird is going on with CM13...
I did manage to hack round it by adding more options for installd to sepolicy, but i feel that this is something shouldn't need to do. I'm going to revert /data back to ext4, hopefully it's just unfinished support for f2fs in CM13. If so, i'll stick with ext4, f2fs has brought only more trouble so far than any improvements.
I also managed to debug RIL problem, first it was missing vendor props and after that some permission problem, might be related to above problem with my phone...

Thanks for keeping us up-to-date, spegelius!

the major issue is no sim detected of course thats a big deal for everyone. wifi works fine browsing youtube ok. NFC never used in my s4 active so dont know. if sim card detected i will definetly used as my daily driver battery life seems good when compare with the cm12.1 officials. BIG THANKS TO THE spegelius still looking for the s4 active. thanksssssssss

My external sd it's not detected, or better, cannot mount.
I think that this cause some problem whit apps like music or file manager that are stucked and don't run. Others app work fine.
Send from somewhere... or not?

Alright, ril problem figured out: selinux denies access to qmux radio socket. Fixed it by setting selinux to permissive on boot for now (same as S4 CM13 i think), so take this into consideration, bad apps can do bad things possibly.
Uploading now:
cm-13.0-20160101_224952-UNOFFICIAL-jactivelte
set selinux to permissive mode
RIL should be working now
few minor tweaks added
repo synced 1.1.2016
Exfat still doesn't work, reason is that vold doesn't support exfat yet; but as CM development goes, features come at some point.

Wow latest buid looks to me OK LTE, cellular calls even my SD card detects. camera works flawless Setting menu crashed 1 time other than anything bugs didn't noticed so far in 3 hours. Thanks for great job spegelius

Hi Guys I present you my own cm10.1. It is based on the latest nightly by bieltv3. This project has been started with bieltv3's permission. CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

I'm Sorry Guys for the bootloop. If someone would give me a logcat I would be thankful to that person
Is this possible to do logcat without USB Cable? (maybe via recovery or something), i lost my cable last evening.
Stuck at Cyanogenmod Boot screen, will give a logcat if possible.
Anyway, good work! hope you will fix it soon

I installed the rom and it works fine. But what can I do to get a faster GPS Fix. I navigate a lot with this rom and some times it takes some minutes to get a GPS Fix. Is this a known bug, so I have to wait for a bug fix ?

I try the new build and everything worked well so far but I don't see a big difference to aosp / cm12 builds. Where do you see the advantage / special feature in the ROM? I just test it for a half day so maybe I miss something and I bet this dev crew has reason to do this ROM. Please give us more details.

Is this an AOSP based rom? Can we get some screen shots?

Hello new build is up: see op download link to basketbuild or normal way: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347817647

Here comes the feedback:
- Autorotation doesnt work. Maybe kernel related.
- Some lag and instability but this could very (most definitely) well be the bidji kernel. (Havent tested on stock kernel)
- Everything else works fine.
- Betterylife is fine, nothing crazy.
- Botton backlight works
Will test tomorrow with stock kernel a few minutes to confirm sone issues maybe. But I like the battery life of bidji kernel too much to not use it.
What does this rom do different compared to other cm like roms? I couldnt really find any major pros or cons. Just very cm like but not from cm I guess. I really hate that they have edited the default launcher with their own ugly app drawer icon and removed the launcher options. Luckily we have an appstore with other launchers. I will change rom to DU again probably because of the auto rotate (but button backlight doesnt work there if i recall correctly).
Still really loving all your builds to test compare and tinker with. And the new bidji kernel makes the tinkering and fiddling even more interesting . Hope this feedback helps.

Ik dank je voor uw feedback!
Autorotation: well still a mistery only DU is working, kernel is the same, so frameworks must be the culprit.
For the rest, I just jump into this project cause I found it interesting and different from others but i'm slowly think I was wrong.
Anyway, yes it not cm but device trees are so, bugs will remain mainly the same .
To be honest, not sure I'll keep on long time with this one except if users are happy
At least om my AFH I have some 30 downloads, in their basketbuild, 0...
Een prettige end of weekend!

Tested again on stock kernel, same issues as before with auto rotate. Something to add why this is different compared to other roms: it is not so much in options but everything that is there is done well. Like all icons and stuff are all good and done and there are no wierd looking menus. So it is a very slick experience IMHO (except the boot logo ugh).
Cheers
Hello Guys,
With Metallium team members, we decided to make those builds "unofficials". This won't change anything for you, builds with remain the same with same quality and improve progressively.
This is a good team and i'm proud to build for them, last post from my dutch mate proves it.
Reasons why this change: i prefer to keep my liberty, to build myself, to post my builds where i used to post it, and so on. Furthermore, i'm official member of crDroid team and it takes me lot of time, and i want to keep the same quality for them too.
So expect new Metallium build at least weekly.
I wish you a nice evening.

The TWRP works fine and can unify the storage. The CM build posted on the oppo forums seems to work no worse than any other CM-derived rom. An LVM aware build of Dirty Unicorns would be awesome. I'm happy to test things because my Find 5 isn't my primary device anymore so I don't rely on it.

I am already running a CM version having LVM and its good apart from Auto rotate which seems to be a bug in CM12.
But another ROM with proper support would be awesome and feel free to get back to me to test the same
P.S: enabling selinux enforce by default seems to be a but flaky

Unfortunately, CM12 has the autorotate issue in all my builds except DU. So what i propose is, first make a test on metallium to see if LVM works then try to adapt to DU, new DU version should come within one day or two.
Thanks for your support.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Build 15 (Stable 3 "Elpun") : Download
/! Make a backup, This build needs a full wipe /!
[security] November Security Bulletin from CM
[usb] Charge Only can be enabled (and usb can be renabled)
[fix] Zram should be working correctly now (reduces longterm slowdowns)
[camera] Recording in stereo should work now (Thanks @goodoane)
[kernel] security feature : now uses CC_STACK_PROTECTOR_STRONG, more info
[signed-build] the build is now using release-keys instead of public "test-keys" meant for debug, improves a bit security and fixes some bugs in Google Apps (ex: Android Wear refusing to work, asking for an "user/signed" or "userdebug/unsigned" rom)
Build 14 (Stable 2 aka "Ololo") : Download
/! Make a backup, dirty update works but if not, do a clean wipe or don't complain about bugs/crash/FC/whatever /!
[security] Dirty COW fixed (CVE-2016-5195)
[battery] small improvements, battery stats should be more accurate
[stability] Clock wakelocks should be fixed
[improvement] built as user instead of userdebug (rom size is a bit smaller, less logs)
[SafetyNet] is properly "suported", banking apps and pokemon Go perfectly works without installing anything else (no more systemless root, xposed or w/e to make it work )
[kernel] general updates (3.10.104)
Build 13 (Stable 1 aka "Olala") : Download
/! Make a backup and do a clean wipe or don't complain about bugs/crash/FC/whatever /!
[LiveDisplay] is now natively working (perfectly smooooooth)
[kernel] general updates, security updates, cleanup, Live Display Implementation
[stability] CM updates
[usb] Charging mode only should work correctly when plugged in usb.
[decoder] AwesomePlayer is now enabled by default instead of NuPlayer (known to cause Google Photos crash, etc.)
[gestures] CMActions is now correctly using Russians strings, Spanish translation added.
[misc] root should be allowed from Dev Options now, anyway if not, flash SuperSU
Build 12 (Release Candidate 2) : Download
/! Make a backup and wipe /system before you flash this RC to be sure you got rid off the ANT+ files /!
This RC2 will probably be renamed "stable 1" if no major problem arise.
[kernel] general updates, cleanup , disabled KSM & UKSM for battery performance
[removed] ANT+ was only partially working and caused battery drain (it seems)
[battery] disabled both ANT (see above) and a few unneeded kernel features that might have caused a bit of draining issues, this should be better now ! :good:
[stability] overall cleanup (overlays, values, etc..)
[gestures] CMActions was cleaned and a few bugs were fixed, the gestures are now enabled/disabled by a switch but remains customisable when you press on them :good:
[misc] adb is not root by default anymore (this might help those who play PoGo) use the dev settings to change that
Build 11 (Release Candidate 1) : Download
(I told you I wouldn't release a beta next time)
changelog :
[bugfix] wifi hotspot is working (both in secured and unsecured AP mode)
[bugfix] fix the back button not being active at first touch when home was pressed to wake the device (elexogic)
[bugfix] back button vibration renabled
[improvement] Gestures are fully customisable now, choose what app/action is triggered (thanks elexogic again)
[kernel] general updates, config_aio disabled for security
[battery] IOscheduler reverted to "deadline" for better battery life
[stability] wifi, mobile, bluetooth, gps stability improved (blobs update to 5.1.10G)
Build 10 (latest beta before stable ) :
Download
(changelog : trully fixed back button for all M2 Note variants)
Issues
Data on second sim in a dual-sim configuration. (hardware limitation)
If you find a bug please check if there's no issue already mentioning it and create one with details and logs here : Bug reports @ Github issues
BUT FIRST :
Do a clean install first, wipe everything.
Make sure you don't use modifications (flash clean, try again)
Check the closed issues
Check google first, there might already be solutions
Explain and give details, add logs as much as possible
How to install:
It's usually a good idea to download the newest build version. Just install it via recovery. I tested it on TWRP but it should also work on other recoveries.
You will also need gapps if you want to use Google services. stock OpenGApps - use the arm64 versions.
How to install TWRP - I don't support unlocking bootloader, installing TWRP or the ROM, you should know what you do first or start learning.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Hi all,
This ROM is in a very early development stage, so you can expect a lot of things broken.
Please don't expect to use this ROM as a daily driver.
What is working:
Audio (playback)
Bluetooth
Graphics
Camera - photo, video recording (w/out audio)
Sensors
RIL
GPS
Wifi
USB
Video playback (HW/SW)
What is not working:
Audio recording
Proximity & Orientation sensors
GPS
Camera may not start at times
System time issues (alarm might not work or start with a delay)
maybe yet something
Download:
AndroidFileHost
Installation order:
The installation below requires a repartition of the phone internal sdcard in order this ROM fit on /system partition. DO NOT proceed an installation if you are unsure what you're doing and how to deal with a possible consequencies.
before installation make sure you have a TWRP recovery
install chrono kernel (both ROM and the corresponding kernel are located in the same directory - see ROM link below)
reboot recovery
flash ReParted zip. This will wipe system, data and cache partitions!
install ROM
install chrono kernel again
*please note a possibly undesirable effect of the repartition: cache partition will be decreased to 15 MB and some ROMs that rely upon this partition won't boot. To restore original sdcard partition layout, flash stock 4.1.2 ROM (with PIT file).

Wow, works better than Oreo
Srsly, little more tweaking and this is suitable for daily use
is it possible to implement these functions in the janice kernel?
github.com/pelya/android-keyboard-gadget
Gonna try it today in 5 hours maybe, use it for a day and give my feedback. thanks for keeping this phone alive. Also have u tried magisk with this rom? I will try it anyway but i just wanted to know.
Here is my feedback.
1- No space for flashing pico gapps so I guess we will have to use microG.
2- Random freezes that takes like a minute then locks the phone.
3-Sometimes, WiFi didn't work and I had to restart. When pressing the icon it flashes green then goes back to grey again.
4-Bluetooth isn't working at all ( not sure if it's only me or what because it never worked on LOS 15.1 too ).
5-GPS not working as well.
6-I hope you add HardwareKeys remap, navigation gestures and Traffic monitor, of course if you don't mind.
..
That's pretty much it. If you can fix the second and third problems, this ROM can be used as a daily driver.

Sorry for OT but, @ChronoMonochrome you considered working on PMOS for 9070?
It's nice idea and porting require talented people like you

Nice to see some efforts of developing custom ROMs here, but amount of non-working features scares me
I would rather stick updating some my older ROMs like UltimateROM (but no promises though).
Mainlining/forward porting work always comes handy, irrespective of whether one's interested to Android/Linux or GNU/Linux.
I cannot believe this device is still getting updates
excuse my rudeness but do u plan on updating this rom or should i lose hope ?
How do i install this room? I tried everything but always got or error 7 or infinite samsung screen without being able to go to recovery mode, so found myself going back to stock over and over again :/

You have to upgrade from 2.3 rom to a 4.2 rom first like this (if it didn't work, consider using this )in order to upgrade the bootloader then you can install this rom. But i wouldn't recommend this rom as its not stable. LOS 15.1 is far more stable for a daily driver.
Pie works great, but one (maybe silly) question...
Where to get GApps for this ROM?

Does this ROM work on the Galaxy S gts7582? Would the developer of this ROM solve the 15.1 Lineageos bugs for the gts7582?

Provably not, they're completely different devices.
The dev need access to the device or at least a very very similar one to look at bugs properly so I guess no.

Is that the gts7582 has lineageos 15 It initializes only does not work anything video, audio, etc. So I thought some dev could solve the bugs of this ROM. But thank you very much for the answer
I installed lineage os 16 on my s advance this is how it went:
1. Bluetooth kept crashing idk why but i uninstalled the bluetooth apk so it dosen't work at all
2. MicroG
It works fine i flashed it and it has signuature spoofing already on yay and it dosen't get stuck in the boot animation after restart
3. Kernel
Oh yeah overclocking is fun i overclocked the cpu to the max and it works amazing
4. Camera
Works but not video
Its ok but bluetooth sadly not working but idc
Its not my main phone anyway thankgod <3
